Ashley (ashleylaura87) | 89 comments Wow, I feel a little embarrassed to say that I have only had my Kindle since November (my birthday present from my brother) and I have 931 books total (no duplicates). Probably less than 50 I have read. I probably never will really "need" to buy another book again...but I'm sure that won't stop me!

It was so overwhelming at first I had to sort everything into collections based on genre or series title. I have 55 different collections to keep it all straight.

I mostly have that many because I received the Kindle as a gift and my brother had pre-loaded some of his personal content on to it. Some I may never read. I also downloaded a TON of free classics.

IUHoosier | 93 comments Um.... I have 573 in my "Freebies" folder alone. I don't want to think about the others that are floating around on my Kindle.... (I have 96 folders.)

message 59: by Helen (new)

Helen How can you keep track of them! I put mine into collections when I've read them but they are creeping to the bottom of the page now.

message 60: by Tia (new)

Tia (booksovertv) I have 73 pages of books on "Manage your Kindle". I only have over 200 in collections.

Misti Smith (mistimousem) | 5 comments Bonnie wrote: "Haven't figgered out how to do a collection yet. My Kindle is still new to me!"

go to the book that you want to make into a collection and click over to the right. Then select add to collection and select create a new collection. then you can call it any thing you want. I have one that has all the books I haven't read, collections of series, games, and informative books. That some examples. It's whatever you want to call your collections.

message 62: by Misti (new)

Misti Smith (mistimousem) | 5 comments I've had mine for almost 2 years and I love it. I don't go anywhere with out it. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine. If you have any questions just let me know.

message 63: by Helen (new)

Helen I love my kindle but need to think up a name. Trying to be sensible and keep track of my spending this month.

message 64: by Helen (new)

Helen Wow Elizabeth aren't you good. As soon as I start reading one, I end up downloading a few more. Had quite a few for less than £2 recently though.

message 65: by Colin (new)

Colin Taber Just five at the moment, but that's not likely to be the case for long!

Well, I'm beyond embarrassed then lol. I've had mine since Nov/Dec too and I have over a thousand books, not including the free ones. I've been through 2 kindles already due to broken screens (currently on my 3rd) and so I haven't loaded them all on at once. I don't want to! It'd be beyond overwhelming. I don't even know if I'm halfway through my stash, but I keep buying more as new releases come out.

But since I just got my 2nd replacement kindle 2 days ago, I only have about 100 TBR books on there :)

Nice! I was wondering when someone would top me! ;)

message 68: by Katrina (new)

Katrina (katmcv) | 2 comments I have 62 tbr books on my kindle, which is about double what I thought I had. D:

message 69: by Helen (new)

Helen Well not as virtuous as my 4 that I had, but still only 21 not counting the mere 3 samples!

message 70: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) | 52 comments I have 83! So many fab books at bargain prices!

message 71: by Colin (last edited May 22, 2011 03:44AM) (new)

Colin Taber It's very much a bit of a 'kid in the candy store' situation, isn't it!

message 72: by Karen (new)

Karen | 4 comments I have 125+ TBR on my Kindle. Will someone explain in basic terms how to arrange in "folders"? That would be a wonderful help. Is it possible to alphabetize?

message 73: by Helen (new)

Helen I have mine in collections, I think I went into menu from home screen. You can alphabetise but I don't know how.

message 74: by [deleted user] (new)

I have 75 TBR on my Kindle, but I actually took a few off that I wasn't planning on reading any time soon.

Regarding Collections, you can set it up so that you see collections first and then books that aren't in a collection, but there doesn't seem to be a way to make the collections show up alphabetically. The books in the collection can show alphabetically, however.

message 75: by Helen (new)

Helen I'd like the collections to be alphabetical but it isn't a nuisance. I put the books I've read into collections.

Helen wrote: "I'd like the collections to be alphabetical but it isn't a nuisance. I put the books I've read into collections."

Yeah, me too. I got pretty crazy at one point, having Collections for seperate sub-gernes, but cleaned it up recently so it's a bit more general. It doesn't look like there is any way to put magazines in a collection, however.

message 77: by Helen (new)

Helen I keep getting stumped with books that are technically young adult but seem more adult and could be sci-fi or dystopian. I end up deciding whether I would have wanted my daughter to read them and then sorting appropriately.

message 78: by Sibel (new)

Sibel Hodge | 46 comments Well, I just got rid of one! Read Burn Out - a captivating thriller! Now onto the next on.

Happy reading :)

message 79: by Helen (new)

Helen That looks good, I may be adding to my TBR.

message 80: by Sibel (new)

Sibel Hodge | 46 comments I'm sure you'll enjoy it, Helen! I managed to get rid of a few on holiday. Recently went to Turkey and managed to get some me time with my Kindle and reduced my TBR list!

BTW, Maid for Me is a sweet YA book that is a great read! :)

message 81: by Helen (new)

Helen I like the cover Sibel.

message 82: by Sibel (new)

Sibel Hodge | 46 comments Yep, it's great, isn't it? :)

message 83: by Helen (new)

Helen Sibel, I've bought both, bargains.

message 84: by Sibel (new)

Sibel Hodge | 46 comments Hope you enjoy them!

Happy reading!

Sibel :)

message 85: by Helen (new)

Helen Their friends came with them, so I went from 20 TBR to 28!

message 86: by Sibel (new)

Sibel Hodge | 46 comments OMG! :)

message 87: by Helen (new)

Helen It is so your fault ;)

message 88: by Sibel (new)

Sibel Hodge | 46 comments LOL! :)

message 89: by Judy (new)

Judy Olson | 33 comments 100+. Reading 3 at a time right now, and will catch up soon......that is if I stop getting more titles. (Fat chance...the freebees are too tempting)

message 90: by Sibel (new)

Sibel Hodge | 46 comments 3 at a time! Wow! I can only read one at a time. And who says women can't multi-task? :)

message 91: by M.A. (new)

M.A. Comley (melcom) | 52 comments yeah, I'm reading two on my kindle at the moment and a Karen Rose paperback. Not getting confused so far, give it time. LOL ;-)

message 92: by Helen (new)

Helen I read one at a time.

message 93: by Judy (new)

Judy | 3 comments I keep thinking that I will catch up with the TBR books on my Kindle and then I find some great deals and I add more to the list. I think that I have about 25 TBR books at the moment. Obviously, I'm addicted.

message 94: by Scott (new)

Scott Whitney 112 at this point in time. But I am adding more all the time and taking items off the TBR list as fast as I can.

message 95: by Helen (new)

Helen I've started another so that's 1 less, howevefr I'm just obtaining prices for the books I want to read, no guesses what will be happening soon...

message 96: by J.A. (new)

J.A. Clement (jaclement) | 8 comments I'm being quite disciplined with mine - I have 3 TBRs....having said which, I got onto some short stories the other day and bought the next in the series and the next and the next before it occurred to me that reading books is cheaper!

1click button = dangerous!
JAC

message 97: by Ilene (new)

Ilene This is something I totally didn't even THINK about until I read this question. It made me wqant to go and look. I stopped counting after 300 TBR's and that's NOT counting the free ones. I have a serious 1 click habit. Is there therapy for that? :)

message 98: by Heidi (last edited May 26, 2011 10:50AM) (new)

Heidi 15 right now, but I just got it a few weeks ago. I have actually added a "TBR" collection...and "Read: collection so I can keep track.

message 99: by Sharon (new)

Sharon I have 109

message 100: by Helen (new)

Helen I suppose if it has space for 3500 we should feel good about ourselves that we're not up in the 1000s
