Great challenge! I'll sign up for option 1 (old/new/borrowed/blue/luck or silver). I'll post my reading list closer to the challenge date. ^o^
Completed: 3/6Since I'm getting married this summer, I'm loving this challenge (although my date is in July). I went with silver because I didn't have a whole lot of options with "luck."

Sashana, Were you looking at the pretty dress and not the tall, dark, and handsome groom? Or visa-versa?
In all honesty I'm pretty unobservant. Sometimes I won't even register things until it's too late. I just noticed a bride and groom and not necessarily 'skin' colors.
Ahhh...In a perfect world! Nope, now that I think about it, I take that back. We need to celebrate the beauty of our differences as well as our similarities.
I am going to have to do this one, my daughter is getting married June 17th. I have to think about what books to read.
Denise, I just read
. I was trying to save it till June, but I took a peek at it and stayed up all night reading it. LOL!
Lisa, That looks really good! I'm off to my library's site to see if they have it :) don't know if I'll wait till June though!

Posting this early so you know what to expect and because I finished it. Hope you like. :)
June is the most popular month for weddings. Why? Perhaps it's popularity is due to the fact that the month of June was named after the Roman goddess Juno (Iunius) who is the goddess of marriage. While the real reason may have been lost, it's popularity still remains.
To honor the fact that June is the month for weddings the following poem will be used as the base for this challenge:
Something old, something new, Something borrowed, something blue, And a silver sixpence in her shoe.
So...
Read something old (Perhaps a classic or a book you've owned for a while and haven't read or an old favorite you'd like to read again)
Read something new (Published this year or a book you just purchased)
Read Something borrowed (from friend or library)
Read Something blue (has a blue cover or has blue in the title)
Read something with luck in the title or has a good luck charm mentioned (since I doubt we'll find one that has something to do with a sixpence for your shoe)
Read books which have the words bride, wedding, groom, marriage, etc in the title or have a wedding that takes place in the book.
Challenge Levels:

Difficult

Thought I'd throw in another poem just for fun:
Marry on Monday for health,
Tuesday for wealth,
Wednesday the best day of all,
Thursday for crosses,
Friday for losses, and
Saturday for no luck at all.
The Sabbath day was out of the question.
P.S. Could not find the person to give credit to for either of the above poems. I guess like the reason for June's popularity, the information has been lost.
