Cambria - yep, I'm English - come from the North (just near where the Brontes lived actually) but headed South for work. Which means my accent is totally messed up, and I call the evening meal "tea" where my Southern partner calls it "dinner" (which is what I call the meal that he refers to as lunch!).Amy, don't worry; obviously if it does become available I would upload it there but a lot of epublishing stuff is very US-based, probably mostly because of the tax hoops you have to jump through if you live elsewhere. There are whole essays to be written on the subject, but it would bore the pants off you so I shan't!
Ken, welcome! This is a great group, so I hope you'll love being part of it. And watch out for the authors -we're feedback junkies, the lot of us!
heheheh

I bet your conversations about food can get confusing in your house. I too call my evening meal dinner and the mid day meal lunch. I have to say though...i like calling it tea. Maybe I'll start calling it that and confuse the heck out of my family too! hehehe.
I think you are right about authors we are all feedback junkies....I am so obsessed with my email now its kind of sad. :)

Sorry, Cambria, I should stop e-mailing you so much!! (I'm really lying, I don't see that happening!! LOL)
And I always thought "tea" was the mid-day meal, not the evening meal. Boy, I am messed up on my British etiquette!

Ah no well you have tea and high tea. High tea (not something that happens in the North as a general rule) was a kind of snacky cucumber sandwiches and cake with, of course, tea to drink. It was about 5pm to tide you over till Dinner which might not have been till 8 or 10pm.It gets far more complex than that though!!
I like the high tea kind of bit. Sounds relaxing. I wish i had time sit down to a tiny cucumber sammie and some tea. Well, i don't like cucimber sammie's but i might if i lived in england. :)@Amy: You cannot stop emailing me. I would be lonley. :) And anyways...I have to speak to my awesome Editor!!
Everyone Hire Amy to be your editor!!!
We had lots of together time today, Cambria!! And thanks for the great plug! :)
I think tea is way more confusing that I ever dreamed it would be!!

Hi Cambria, thanks for the welcome :). PA is a nice state. I've never been to NC but my friends in-laws have a place there so we may vacation there at some point.
@Cam, we camped a lot when I was a kid. Bonfires were a must every trip...even in the rain.

I love bonfires, too! I think you'll really enjoy this event: http://www.goodreads.com/event/show/1...
It seems like I misunderstood the term 'bonfire'. I don't believe in burning books no matter the content.
Cam wrote: "Hello, you seem like a lovely group, unlike some others floating around on this site.Anyone here enjoy bonfires?"
LOL. Are you bringing marshmallows?

NC is a nice state too. It is very hot though. LOL. My husband is in the military so we may end up back in PA sometime....or somewhere else for that matter. :)
Yeah, I could never live in NC (no offense). I even hate the heat here and I'm sure it's a lot worse for you!
Yeah, the heat here is so gross. Sometimes I want to hide inside with all the blinds drawn and the AC blarring. (okay sometimes I DO do that.) hehehe. The air just gets so thick sometimes...and my landscaping! Oh my. I have to water like 50 times a day! (okay, not that much, but a lot.) In PA my lawn and plants were beautiful. Here I'm lucky that they don't look like sticks. :)

Lolol I hide inside too! I call it hibernating! I'm more of a fair weather gal. I prefer 75 and below...and sometimes 75 is still too warm lol. I should move to Alaska!
I'm telling ya. :) I actually really like the rain. I kind of like the cold too. Nothing too cold but enough to wear a sweatshirt.... :)My favorite season is the fall....I miss that most about living here. I love to see the leaves change and feel the air get chilly.
Here we have trees but mostly they are pine trees and some of the leaves change but nothing like up north. *sigh*

I'm hoping I get more than 10 minutes to put up posts today!! :)

Hello everyone! I've just this group a few moments ago, and while not an *expert* reviewer, I do have a blog where I do toss in a review now and then. I'd love to share my reviews here as well, once I figure out where I'm going (I tend to get lost frequently).

I'll grab my umbrella!
Hi Cassie - good call! I am indeed English though with a comedy accent. In the South they think I'm unspeakably Northern but once I get past Derby (about halfway up) I sound like a right Southerner....go figure!Everyone: I've been wondering if my blurb for my book is too boring and am working on a more interesting version. If you have 2 secs would you mind awfully checking out the comparison on the Dark Shores Review thread

Thanks for inviting me to this group! I love writing reviews on my blog! I have been lucky enough to meet some great authors and make connections with a few publishers!
Hi everyone! I hope this is the right place to introduce myself. My name is Sarah Renee, I'm 15 years old, and I am an author and, recently, a book reviewer. I have written three middle grade fiction books--The Tiger Princess, Dash, and Hunted Home--and I am working on several other books in the series.I also just started a blog where I review other books and talk about some of the news about my books and writing: http://sarahrenee-saderiaseries.blogs.... I would be happy to review any books within the middle grade/young adult/children's genre, and I would really appreciate some more reviews for my first three books. This looks like a really great group and I can't wait to meet some other authors and readers!
Thanks for the invite, Amy!I posted for anyone who wants to review Richelle Mead's Storm Born issue #1 & #2 as well as Aron Warner's Pariah issue #1 on this link:

Thanks again, Amy!

Where I was raised, the three main meals were breakfast, lunch and tea, in that order. But if we dine out for the evening meal, it's "going out for dinner" -- go figure.
