Hello,I'm excited about this group, just to see what others are reading and reviewing. I read all the time (joys of working 3rd shift in front of a computer! Maybe that is why I like vampire books so much... My job almost makes me one-- minus the blood drinking), so I decided to start reviewing what I read. You can see my reviews at http://placeofreeds.blogspot.com/, and please follow/join and help me get as many on my blog as possible :)
Thanks, and have a great day!
Cana
Welcome, Cana! Great to have you here!! I will bet there are plenty just like you who are up until the wee hours of the morning, I know Cassie and I generally are! I'm glad you're here, and can't wait to see your reviews!
Welcome Cana! You will find lots of people around here who love to read and review just like you!!I tried to follow your blog but it said the page wasn't found. Want to repost the link?
Cambria, I don't know why it didn't work right... Sometimes computers just want to prove they are smarter than me!http://placeofreeds.blogspot.com/
hi guys, sorry for posting here but I believe many people read this thread. I posted some time ago that I'm a student from Poland and I'm doing a research for my M.A. thesis. I need to find people who are willing to fill out a short 15 minute survey containing a few excerpts from a old Polish book in its two translation versions and say which they like better. I need about 5 respondents to finish my project, and I beg for your time...

I am now following!!!!
I am very excited to find a group like this exists. I've been working on honing my review skills, so a place like this is fantastic.

Welcome Adam - this is a great group! If you take submissions from authors, do set up a thread further down setting out your review criteria(though be aware you'll be deluged by requests!!)
JAC
I will welcome you as well, Adam, if you can't tell just from the amount of people greeting you, this is a VERY friendly and fun group to be in!! Great to have you!
I've met so many awesome people here... I quickly went from stalker to participant due to all the friendlies ;D

My wife let me sleep in. Not only that, but she decided to go out extra early, before the crowds, and run all of the normal Saturday errands. Then she brought breakfast home with her....greasy stuff from BK which was JUST what I would have wanted.I walked out of the bedroom to coffee, breakfast, and no running needing to be done.
Or course, there is a back rub in there somewhere for her later today as a "thank you"....but even that could lead to an even better day! (yeah, always thinkin'....)
Splitter
Splitter you are just like a man!! LOL. Sounds like you have a great day ahead of you though!! Have fun!
Well, see, I have these rather different interview questions I have to finish answering today for someone's blog. I have to be in the proper frame of mind. Someone recently accused men of thinking about food and women a lot...I was going to defend man-kind with my answers until I realized...she was right :)
Isn't that normally the case? Lol
Oh, and I have a fabulous idea for a contest on my own blog I need to write...who wants to make a cameo in the second book I'll be releasing in November? Stand by for details.
Splitter
Hmmmm. These blog questions sound ver interesting. And I agree women are always right. Even when they are wrong. and you can quote me on that. And whoever said that men sure think about food and women a lot was a wise woman indeed....Now about this contest.... It has definite possibilities. I might enter that contest.... does the new character get a gun?? :)
And hey, I was wondering...feel free to add this to your list of interview questions....
Will Tom's son ever come home from college and get into "the family business" and will he get a hot lady to keep him company??
Splitter! I am so excited about your idea! I don't want a lady smith in the story though, I want THE JUDGE!!!!!!!Im almost done w the interview questions for Tom.
@ cambria, quit stealing my interview questions dang it!
Ohhhh...good question. Do you remember what he is studying? There just MIGHT be a future story line there somewhere :).I'll make an announcement on the contest when I get these answers done, but he or she COULD have a gun. They could be a hero or villain. They could even die a glorious/inglorious death if the winner wishes. The role is not yet written so I will be giving them some choices.
Wise women...a redundant term :). Just ask my wife. I will have you know, though, that I always get the last word in any arguments that we have...."yes, Dear."
Splitter
Wait....thinking...what is he studying?? Dang it! I'm going to have to look now. Is it law? Criminal justice? grrrr. now I want to know. LOL.
"yes, dear" are very very wise words and have been known to prevent war.
@Jenn-- Oopsie? Did i take your questions?? I didn't know you were interviewing Tom, so I plead the 5th. LOL

Yes it's criminal justice. I'm finishing up questions for Tom this weekend looks like it'll be repetitive (sigh) oh well, you didn't know

A Judge! lol. That's a real hand stinger but it would put down a bad guy...and his car...might even tear up some pavement.
A have even more respect for you now lol.
Ther IS enough Splitter to go around! When there isn't, I have Tom as a back up. He leads a more interesting life anyway. There really isn't any redundency.

Hey... I am a lady smith ;p Now I have to add Splitter to my reading list which has gotten officialy huge (at a time when I have the least time to read I've ever known)
Sorry, I hit "post"mby mistake and can't edit on this iTouch. No overlap, I am keeping track. Cambria hit me with some whopper questions. Jenn is interviewing Tom and I am doing a guest blog for someone else (not announced yet).
I promise to get the countest up later today. I am also writing a guest blog.
Glad I have multiple personalities. (ok, not really but I do talk to myself)

At least, talking to yourself means you always have intelligent conversations -- unless yourself is not talking to you.
You are really getting around Splitter! Way to market. I will let everyine know when the interview with Splitter is up on my blog!
Talking of getting around, is anyone on Wattpad? If you are, do come across and say hello. URL is http://www.wattpad.com/user/JAClement

I'm a newbie over at Wattpad, so I may not be qualified to explain...haha... So far, it appears to be kind of like Authonomy...writers can put up anything they want for reader opinions? I like the layout of everything over there. I just haven't had a ton of time to explore.
