Either way. I love my work being associated with causing lazy eyes and humpback. It's my muse.

Sorry for the late reply, and you're welcome. I'll give it a second try, maybe there's something wrong with my blogger account:)

You're welcome:)

so... what do ya do here?
Thanks for the invitation Natshane!"

Welcome to the group Jayne! It's great to have you here!! Please browse around, I'm sure you will see some folders that could be of use to you! Feel free to use the Exciting news or Special Events to announce when you have guest posts, author interviews, and giveaways!

I'm Ben, I blog at http://learningtoreadten.blogspot.com/ about literary and comic fiction, mostly, and a bit of writing and funny stuff on the side.
I'm pretty new to GoodReads, but this seems the best place to find other book blogs and get involved in some booktalk. Am I right?

I am new here too, its a great website and everyone is very welcoming, you have come to the right place :)

Hi Ben! Welcome to the group!! I think you have come to the perfect spot for some great booktalk! Everyone is more than welcome to add their own posts for discussion! I want everyone to feel this is not just my group, but theirs as welll. I want one big happy reading family! :-)
Natalie! Thanks for that! You are too sweet!
Mr. Steven, thanks! I used to not say anything about what was happening in the story either, but I learned, it helped people put what I was saying into perspective if I gave a short summary of the book.
Everyone make sure you keep looking around, you never know when something great may pop up! Authors, be sure to utilize this fantastic group of people who are here that could be the perfect person to review your next book, or maybe even an older one you want to revitalize!

Thank you for that Alison! I loved the idea for this group! I couldn't find anything like it on GoodReads anywhere, so I decided to start my own! :-) It's great to have you here!!

Welcome Cambria (I love that name!) It's great to have you here! What kind of writing do you do? This is a very friendly group, and please feel free to post anywhere you like and as often as you like!

That sounds wonderful! When you get your books finished and you would like to have some people review it for you, we do have a place here in this group where you can ask for people to sign up to review it for you! I think this group is a great way for authors and readers alike to help one another!!

Sounds awesome Amy! Can't wait!

I <3 my books though, and love the chance to talk up good books here on goodreads!
Well hello Casey!! I'm happy to see you!! I'm glad you introduced yourself, I love when the members get on here and talk! A group can only be great and fun if the people in it are active and having a good time with one another!

Welcome Suz!! It's great to have you here in our friendly and ever growing group! Feel free to post your favorite reviews here and tell everyone about your blog as well!! :-) Invite your friends, the more people we have, the more fun and the more discussion! Again - WELCOME!

Anyway... Hello everyone! So glad to be a part of this great group!
And hello Cassie! Glad you introduced yourself to this wonderful group!! :-) Glad to see you on here and participating!!

Yes, you can change how you receive notifications from your groups. Go to the top of the page, in the top right hand corner, you will see your picture with a drop down menu. Select "My Account" from there you will see a page that has a bunch of tabs on it. This is your "control center" for all of your settings on GoodReads. Select the tab labeled "Notifications". From there, you can switch all of your settings on how your receive notifications to your email from your groups and just about everything else! I hope this is the answer you were looking for!! :-)
Also, in the future, whenever you join a group, it gives you an option about how you would like to receive notifications from the group. I'm not sure which ones it gives you right now, but I think there are three different options you can choose from.

I went to find out what the options were when joining a group for everyone who may be interested. These are the choices that we have when joining a group, be sure to check out the options that go along with it in your "my account" section Just in case you are having the same issues Suz is having. :-)
group discussion email settings
Digest - Get all comments on group discussions bundled in a daily or weekly email (the frequency is configured on your 'my account' page).
Individual Email - Get an email instantly when someone starts a new topic in this group, and whenever someone replies. You will not get a second notification email about a topic until you've visited the discussion. Warning: for larger groups, this could get a little bit out of control!
Notification only - Don't get any emails, just get notifications on your homepage of new discussion comments in this group.
None - Do not get any notifications about group discussions. You can change this later on the 'my account' page.

And as for the recent email that I just sent you, I hope you don't think I'm trying to play hardball with your or be hard headed. I just feel a certain way and felt like I owed it to you to be honest, as I like to keep honesty prevalent in any relationship that I have with someone. :)

And yeah, I'm still getting individual emails from here and I have it marked for digest version, so I don't know what's up with that.

I'd also like to use my first post to break Amy's one rule here and say that all of my reviews are stupid because they just are, and I'm a stupidhead for posting them. Fart.
Ok, Steve, that is your one time I will let you break the rule, and only because Kirk told me to let it go. Mr. Cameron saved you....

Kirk and I are tight like that because I got him out of a jam once. They still haven't found the hooker's body because I'm a professional. You're welcome, Kirky.
It is probably because you commented on this topic, so you will probably continue to receive them. In the email that you receive states: "You're currently following all posts on this discussion, You will not get another email about this discussion until you visit it on goodreads. If you wish to edit email notifications on when people reply to this discussion, click here: " You could try clicking on that link and maybe playing around with the settings to see what works best for you.
I know if you do not go back to that discussion it will not send you anymore notifications until you go back to view, at least that has been my experience with the settings that I have set up, and I think it mentions that in the e-mail as well. I'm not sure how you have your settings so you may need to play around with them a bit until you get them the way you would like.

That's the only reason that I'm like gah, at the moment. If I could just get everything in digest form once a day from here, instead of several little messages one behind another then I would totally be okay with that. And I've been trying to play around with my settings and for some reason, I can't figure out how to get them set right to a point where I can be happy with them. So, I'm sorta getting frustrated with that, I hope you understand.
It's just been a really stressful week for me, with my gran's surgery and everything else going on. That, my head just feels a bit 'splodey right now. So, you're seeing me at pretty much my snaptastic worse, and I really do hate that. So, I hope you don't hold anything against me. This is normally who I am, I just have A LOT on my plate right now and it's hard to deal with it all and keep my sanity a bit.
