In looking for a trilogy I thought of Nora Roberts as I do enjoy her PNR/Fantasy books. A friend lent me the Donovan Legacy books however it's a trilogy plus a short story. Would this make it not qualify as a trilogy?

Gem - I highly recommend reading the prequel to the Hunter Kiss series first in Wild Thing. I didn't and was confused for a lot of the first book.
