Esther (eshchory) I have finished The Last Colony and am now on to Zoe's Tale.
I think John Scalzi is my new favourite author.

message 2354: by Nuran (new)

Nuran (nuurie) | 5 comments I'm trying to read The Three by Sarah Lotz The Three, but I'm finding it a slog to get through. I'm not sure I like the narrative style as if it's a documentary of the events. I feel disconnected from the characters and only because I want answers is the reason I'm still reading, otherwise this would have been add to 'didn't finish' pile.

message 2355: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Elswick (wwwgoodreadscomrebeccaelswick) | 35 comments I just finished In the Unlikely Event by Judy Blume. It was a wonderful book based on real events the author experienced when she was a young girl. Blume is a storyteller like no other!

message 2356: by Maya (new)

Maya (mrskitty) | 25 comments I am currently reading Omens (Cainsville, #1) by Kelley Armstrong and Visions (Cainsville, #2) by Kelley Armstrong

message 2357: by Esther (new)

Esther (eshchory) After Scalzi I took a short break with Breakfast at Tiffany's. Capote was a much easier read than I expected.

Now I am onto Cloud Atlas which I think is going on holiday with me. It is a heftier book than I would normally take but I can't bear to stop in the middle.

message 2386: by Kim (new)

Kim | 1 comments I don't post about many books but this is really one to read. Its got everything. Love, lust, heartbreak, and redemption with a twist of the supernatural and getting revenge in the afterlife on the one who hurt you. It reads with all the emotion of a great Jodi Picoult or Liane Moriarty book. It comes out in October but you can get an early copy here.
