Werewolves - The Wolven by Deborah LeBlanc
Shifters -
Goddess -
Demon -
Warlock/Witch - Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins
Fae -
Aliens - Touched by an Alien by Gini Koch
Psychic - What's a Ghoul To Do? by Victoria Laurie
Warrior - Highway to Hell by Rosemary Clement-Moore

Yesterday I finished reading Hex Marks the Spot (Bewitching Mystery, #3) by Madelyn Alt (★★★). This series is more mystery with a bit of romance & paranormal tossed in than true PNR. Fans of Victoria Laurie will also like this series.
In this book, our protagonist, Maggie goes with her boss to the local craft fair where they fall in love with a armoire crafted by a stunningly attractive Amish man. A man who, later that evening, turns up dead. When a folk magic hex sign is found near his body, Maggie and friends begin working to unravel the mystery of his death . . . but Maggie's on-again, off-again boyfriend, the hunky local detective is suspicious that this is the third murder in 6 months that Maggie shows up at.
These are cute books and fun to read. I'll definitely keep it up. The next three are already on my bookshelf. A seventh book is currently out in hardcover, and an eighth book, In Charm's Way, has been written but doesn't yet have a release date.

8. Aliens - Yargo by Jacqueline Susann

10.

I finished reading Yargo by Jacqueline Susann (★★★★) earlier this evening. Let me start by saying that I have not read anything else by this author. And, that this book was written in the early 1950's, which might make it the earliest written sci-fi/romance I've ever read (before this it was Anne McCaffrey's Restoree from 1967).
As mentioned, Yargo is a sci-fi/space romance in which a young woman named Janet is mistakenly kidnapped by very attractive aliens, suffers a series of trials, but eventually gets her heart's desire.
I read Yargo in less than 24 hours (when it usually takes me 2-3 days to read a novel this size). I was fascinated by the storyline and even 3/4 of the way through I wasn't sure where, and with whom, Janet would end up.
There are parts of the book that are dated - Einstein is still alive, no humans had been to the moon, Janet smokes heavily and has dated views of marriage, romance, and religion. But, these parts don't get in the way of the story at all. There are also parts that are clearly scientifically inaccurate - like the presence of sentient life on Mars. And yes, I found those parts pretty hilarious, but knowing the book was set in the 1950's made it seem less ridiculously out of place and more like I was reading a cute B-movie script. Oh, and of course, the entire book can pretty much be rated PG, PG-13 at the most. :-)
Overall, I loved the book and it was a nice change of pace to modern romances. If anyone knows of other early sci-fi romances, I'd love to hear about them!
