30.5 -- Emily ID’s task as suggested by Sue T -- The Old '10/The New '11
A. Out with the Old:
I've had this one on my TBR almost from the day it first came out:
The Color of Magic (Discworld, #1) (1983) by Terry Pratchett (Mass Market Paperback, 240 pages)
This is the first of this series. I've read later books in the series (most recently Going Postal ) and now I've gone back and read the first book in the series. The later books are much better IMHO.
AND
B. In with the New:
I came across this book last month while I was checking out another goodreads group:
The Flanders Panel (1990) by Arturo Pérez-Reverte (Paperback, 295 pages)
Completely new author to me as well as a new book. When I started reading it, The Flanders Panel was one of the 11 most recently added TBR books to my list.

25.3 Reflections on 2010.
A positive memory I had in 2010 was buying my first flat, this has made me feel settled and I've loved having my friends and family around to enough it with me. So I read "Snoop" by Sam Gosling, which is about snooping around peoples homes and what their stuff says about them.
In 2010 I also began reading a series of book by MC Beaton, so I read "Agatha Raisin and the Potted Gardener" by MC Beaton.

A Long Way From Chicago by Richard Peck
This is a book set in the countryside of IL during the depression. Two kids from Chicago visit their grandmother in the country every summer. Grandma Dowdel is certainly unconventional... She tells whoppers, schemes to catch and scare the heck out of local hoodlums, breaks the law by stealing the sheriff's boat to fish on private property and more. But under all her gruff and eccentric behavior is a kind-hearted old lady. Those fish are fried up and given to the drifters looking for work. She's a bit of a Robin Hood!
