Andrea (tasseled) | 189 comments I'm curious about Battle Royaleand would like to read it eventually, but I think you should see if people will join you for The Terror, because you cannot miss out on the opportunity to read it. Seriously, it's that good.

Alana (alanasbooks) | 456 comments Battle Royale is excellent, though a bit graphic, if that's something that bothers you. Ten times better than Hunger Games (in fact, I'm pretty sure Hunger Games is entirely plagiarized from it) and it may be over 600 pages, but it is so fast paced that I read through it in just over a day!

I thought it has a bit of a Hunger Games vibe, except more gory--which i have no problem with!

Alana (alanasbooks) | 456 comments It's not just a vibe, it's nearly the exact same story; bunch of kids thrown together with weapons to kill each other off ad a way to control the populace. Except it's much darker and deals more with the psychology and who do you trust and all that. Plus it's written a solid ten years before the Hunger Games.
