Black Magic Sanction by Kim Harrison
i'm probably going to read (re-read) the lisa klepyas because its been a few years since i've read it and i know I have it on the bookshelf...not in the mood for linda howard right now and those are the only other two my library had without jumping into the middle of a series I haven't read
I'll read Somewhere I'll Find You. So far I'm 2 for 2 with books that are already sitting on my bookcase/computer for this challenge. It makes choosing pretty easy. Plus I love Lisa Kleypas! :)
I have Open Season sitting here but I really want to read Switch. I usually like Megan Hart's books. We'll see what I end up reading.
I think I'm going with Dangerous Highlander - for no other reason than it's the one I think I can get in the time frame!
List #2 -- November 27, 2010 deadline –
by Linda Howard – 11/10/10I enjoy Linda Howard. Some of her early work is a bit too alpha for me, but Open Season is almost Linda Howard “light”. The crimes aren’t too graphic, the suspense isn’t thick at all, and the love story is fun and tender. It’s a really good read.
Angie wrote: "I'm hoping to read Fallen"Hi Angie - I was hoping to read Fallen, too - but there's over 120 people waiting for it at the library! And I have no superlibrarian powers that will allow me to jump myself up the list... (well, I could but then I'd be in big trouble).
Oh well...
Random Book List Challenge - Random Book List #2Duration: November 9 - December 6, 2010
I'll read Fallen by Lauren Kate
I'll reread Open Season Question for future reference,
Could we substitute the first book in a series if you mention one further on if we haven't started it yet?

Great question- that would be awesome if we could do that.
Count me in (this challenge sound like a lot of fun).I'm on the fence about my choice though, I haven't been able to decide to go with an author I know and love or to try a new author to fall for.
Will post in a day or so

I have to give this some thought, but here is my answer.
Yes, you can.
It will be counted for you completing the challenge, but it will not be counted as a vote for the book in the list.
Hope that makes sense. : )
That makes complete sense. We could mention that we caught up to that point in the series.... then it would count for the tally (yes a few extra books read but for this group I don't think it matters)
Finished reading Switch by Megan Hart, she is becoming one of my favourite authors, even though i've only read two books of hers so far, and i understand that most of her books don't have a happy ending. However, this one was one of her lighter reads, i loved how she wrapped everything up and I was ok with the heroine's choice at the end. I gave it 5 stars and recommend it to anyone who wants an emotional, engaging story with an unconventional ending.
I'm going to read Black Magic Sanction. I've not read any in this series, hope it's okay to start with this one.
KimKirt wrote: "I'm going to read Black Magic Sanction. I've not read any in this series, hope it's okay to start with this one."You can have the option of reading the first book or an earlier book in the series, if you haven't caught up to the book in the Random List.
That will still count for you as completing the challenge, but it will not be a vote for the book in the list.
Finished Open Season last night. I have been looking forward to reading this book, and this list just gave me that push to pick it up.Light, fun read with likeable characters and some witty dialogues. I give it 4 stars.

Well, I'm a library book kind of gal, and I reserved this one, I don't mind reading series out of order. The only series I've actually read in order so far is the BDB series.
I read Somewhere I'll Find You by Lisa Kleypas it was a reread for me and I really enjoyed it again.
I picked up a copy of Switch so I know I said I was bowing out of this round, but I am in after all.
i'm going to hold off and read Switch still but wait until Dec 1 - because its set in PA, for anyone who does the monthly challenge
