Toy Stories Reading Challenge
For "artist"...does it have to be the "picture" type of artist? Can a singer or glass artist work? And "fashion"...how "into" fashion counts? I'm coming up with a blank there...maybe Georgiana Kincaid series would work? Any other helpful ideas?
Thanks!

Angie, are you a speed reader? That's incredible. I am such a slow reader:)
Its none of my business but Angie how have you managed to read 11 books since the challenge began YESTERDAY? I wish I could read that fast.
Buggy wrote: "Its none of my business but Angie how have you managed to read 11 books since the challenge began YESTERDAY? I wish I could read that fast."I thought the contest started October 1st and that's when I started my reading. Am I wrong?
I'm on bedrest, so I have lots of time to read right now.

Your start date is the day you begin reading your first book for this challenge.
Someoneyouknow wrote: "I'm in for this challenge. I can start anytime this year, right?"That is correct.
Actually looking over the challenge rules it just states "10 books within a 6 month period" So I think you're all good. I just assumed it started when it was posted?? Sorry about the bedrest but at least you can catch up on your reading. I've only managed 1 book so far this month

Angie,
I would need a start date, and dates when you finished reading the books.
The challenge officially started yesterday, so the earliest start date I'm accepting is Sept. 10, 2010.
Hmmm...I thought we couldn't include any books before the challenge was officially posted...Yz, are you allowing people to start one month ago, or should that be October 10?
Judithe wrote: "For "artist"...does it have to be the "picture" type of artist? Can a singer or glass artist work? And "fashion"...how "into" fashion counts? I'm coming up with a blank there...maybe Georgiana K..."
Question 1: Yes, it has to be a 'graphic' artist (drawing, painting, cartoonist). It can also be a hobby of a character, say Phury in BDB books.
Question 2: Fashion? (Model, Fashion designer, fashion photographer, writer for a fashion magazine, etc). I guess you can also use a character who is really girly-girly, like really fashionable, say Queen Betsy, etc or if its a guy, pretty much a clotheshorse.
Hope that helps, Judithe.
Yz, is an architect ok for the graphic artist? He draws the plans and renderings, but I don't know if he is considered an artist. Thanks!
Fran wrote: "Yz, is an architect ok for the graphic artist? He draws the plans and renderings, but I don't know if he is considered an artist. Thanks!"
That will work.
