★ Jess | 3071 comments 3 points at half time.
Travis Cloke doesnt touch the ball=Collingwood dont score goals. Anyone notice that?
Also, I liked Jimmy Bartel's goal. He is not the most unattractive man I have ever seen :P

Jimmy Bartel for medal! Well deserved!

message 364: by ★ Jess (last edited Oct 01, 2011 12:54AM) (new)

★ Jess | 3071 comments In all honesty I expected the game to be vise-versa. Tight untill Collingwood brake away in the last 30 mins.
I called Bartel for the medal half way into the last quarter-Hawkins didnt kick well enough.
YAY GEELONG!

(Port will be back there one day)

Bartel is solid all the time, that's for sure! Was an awesome game! (maybe Port will be back in a few years Jess)

★ Jess | 3071 comments Go the Cats.
Also, look at Tom Hawkins in the paper today. Does he not look like he has stepped straight off a cat walk?

message 371: by Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen (new)

Brenda | 80069 comments Mod
Haven't seen a paper today Jess, only the online stuff, so not sure what photo you're talking about? Could you put a link up?

message 372: by ★ Jess (new)

★ Jess | 3071 comments Brenda, he looks like a male model all the time!

Ha! Oh I see! lol

message 374: by ★ Jess (new)

★ Jess | 3071 comments Whoop! AFL Trade Week all over, and I may be biased, but I think Port are the biggest winners :)
What do you think, Michael?
We snared BrRENT RENOUF from Hawthorn (Premiership ruckman!) for pick 38 or something like that,
and BRAD EBERT from West Coast for picks 18 + 23. Both played in preliminary finals this year.
We also got pick 48 or something around there for Brogan and Cornes going to GWS, which is awesome, because technically they're retired, and we shouldn't be getting anything.

Now we just need to use pick # 6 to pick up a classy midfielder in the upcoming draft.

message 375: by ★ Jess (new)

★ Jess | 3071 comments Bernard Tomic into the fourth round of the Australian Open :D
I love him so much! He's got Federer next though, and I've got a baaaaad feeling. Oh well, he's only 19. He's done good :)

He has been amazing Jess, such a pleasure to watch him!

message 377: by ★ Jess (new)

★ Jess | 3071 comments As much as I love Rodger (agreeing so much with what Michael says: so rare for such an elite sportsman to be so fair and clean), I'd love to see Tomic win. He'll be enormous in three or four years-Top 10 ranking for sure.

message 378: by [deleted user] (new)

ek i hate Rodge seriously how much can one person cry!

hewitt is playing pretty good tonight looking a little like his old self...man I miss those days tennis just doesn't interest me that much any more :(

message 379: by ★ Jess (new)

★ Jess | 3071 comments I cant stand Hewitt. He is just so annoying and unlikable, such a bad sport. Thats just my opinion though.

I seriously hope Tomic puts in a magnificent effort tonight. Even if he doesnt win, I hope he is competitive :)

★ Jess | 3071 comments A boy in my year level won $10 000 from placing a bet at the cricket. Legit.

message 381: by [deleted user] (new)

Great to hear that the tennis governing body is to clamp down on those 'scream queens'...about time as there is no need for it at all, it's only a ploy to distract their oposition, don't care who is playing, if they are a screamer I turn the channel.

The Tour Down Unders Over :( As much as men in lycra is unattractive, those guys are insane athletes. Pity Cadel didn't come. Good to see green edge win though.

Was a great result Kieron!

message 385: by ★ Jess (new)

★ Jess | 3071 comments Federer vs Nadal! It's one of the most intense matches I've seen in a long time!

message 386: by [deleted user] (new)

Keiron you can come take the lyrca men away from my town!

I live on a mountain and we have guys you train up it...but they train at pick time in the morning and in the afternoon! very hard not to hit them or another car coming the other way, mountain rd is not very wide lots of angry people live up here lol...end rant

Federer and Nadal was awesome

message 387: by [deleted user] (new)

Nadal was brilliant in that second set, pulled off at least two impossible shots. Haha, they're allowed to use the road though, and technically they are allowed 2 cyclists wide at a time though when cars come they normally squash up. And I bet they are faster than the cars on the downhill!

message 388: by [deleted user] (new)

hahah not even close the rd speed is sixty its a very small and tight mountain rd with cliffs on either side they go 40ks max.... i may add alot of people up here got faster then 60 when you live on the mountain you just want to get down as quick as possible, there have been a few incidents with the bikes and causing minor accidents but nothing serious yet, its just a dangerous road in general and there really isnt enough room they are not allowed to ride on the next mountain over which even has take over lanes while ours doesnt... lol sorry for my rant they make me late for work

message 389: by [deleted user] (new)

haha, my dads top speed on a bike is 80 and he frequently overtakes cars, my uncles is 85 but he is a nutter

message 390: by [deleted user] (new)

hahaha... you should see the nutter bike riders in Amsterdam... they ride while talking on mobile phones, with kids on the back, whilst trying to dodge cars, trams and pedestrians XD

message 391: by ★ Jess (new)

★ Jess | 3071 comments Yeah, but the bike/car ratio in Amsterdam is like 5:1
When I was there a few years ago, I saw a bike park. It was like four levels, just crammed full of bikes.

message 392: by [deleted user] (last edited Jan 27, 2012 01:56AM) (new)

Yeah, they are so funny. Great place =) We didn't brave hiring a bike... XD

message 393: by ★ Jess (new)

★ Jess | 3071 comments Excellent idea!

message 394: by [deleted user] (new)

Don't they have those free battery replacement places on the streets around amsterdam? For those electric bikes? Supposed to be the best place in the world for cyclists, my dad wants to move there just for bike riding -_-

message 395: by ★ Jess (new)

★ Jess | 3071 comments Who's watching Rafa/Djokovic?
