Thanks for that link Brenda, I enjoy the Sydney to Hobart. How's the weather for them I wonder. It's non stop rain here in Brissy until about February I think!:)

Oh dear, your weather is atrocious! My brother is in Ipswich, and he said it hasn't stopped in awhile, and is going to continue...they are trying to camp at the moment, near Stanthorpe..:(

Last night I saw Wild Oats come in for the line honnors from my house :D One of the perks of living where I do, we can see the boats coming in LIVE! Whole mess of boats speeding beside 'em and the helicopters making a racket (which is what alerted us to the fact someone was coming in) and then the cannons/guns firing as Wild Oats came in as the fist boat for the 2010 race :DOne year we watched it coming in via standing outside on our top porch/deck and we also watched it live on TV..lol
Cricket seems to be in a sorry state :/ I read something about Ponting to retire...Might be for the best. I dunno but when he took over they just seemed to go downhill especially when all the biggies retired. As much as I like to back a Tassie such as Ponting...I just dunno.

Haha..it was cool :) Only trouble is you never know exactly when the first one will come in :P Though it is cool to go peep the racers down on the docs!Jessica..hahaha :P i'm not really big into it either. I only got into it when I lived with my grandparents since it was a great way to spend time with my poppy :D

Australian Open started today :) I like watching it on TV-Ive never actually gone though.
Im supporting Andy Murray (Scotland) and Jelena Dokic (Australia!), as I do every year.
I would support Rafa (Nadal) or Federer, but they win too much! Somebody else's turn, I say!

I turned it on, and Federer was 2 sets up against someone i'd never heard of, and even though I love Rodger-I didnt watch, thinking he was easily going to win. I presumed he did, until you mentioned that, and I was surprised he won in the 5th set.
Looks like it would have been a great match, and Im sorry I missed it :(
I did, however, watch Llyton Hewitt vs that guy from Argentina (whos name I forgot) It was a really exciting match :) Finished 45 minutes past midnight, from like-an 8:00 start.
Did anyone see Tomic's game.

It's very lucky you are on school holidays. My hubbie isn't keen on tennis so it isn't watched in our house. :(
My whole family isnt keen on tennis either, but we have a second tv which I pop off too.

Haha i saw that with Todd.. hes a better interviewer than.. i think its the other woody (the red head one).Love watching the tennis :) seen a bit of this, but my fav tournament one is wimbledon (camping out in the lounge staying up watching Andre Agassi :D). Nowdays favourite players Fedster and Nadal and always Baghdatis. Good tourny:)

Gah! Is anyone watching Andy Murray vs Someone Ferrer? It's a fantastic match thus fa. If you're not watching it, turn on channel 7 now and star! That first set was one of the best vie seen all tournament, and there have been hundreds of 25 shot plus rallies.
It is a truly exciting match. :)

Currently at the soccer, watching Adelaide United loosing to Centrsl Coast late in the first half. I am keeping tabs on the Clijsters final...

YAY! But didnt get to see any of it on TV. I checked on my dads iPhone, and she was 2-1 up in the third set.
Then I paid attention to the soccer for a while.
I checked the scores again the second the soccer was finished, and saw she was 5-3 up and was serving for the match. From then I just stared at the screen and rejoiced when I saw her wining score :)
Anyway, Adelaide United lost 2-1, but should have lost by way more then that. They were shocking.
However, they had a chance to equalize in injury time.
Travis Dodd scored a goal with three minutes to go, and from then on it was just shot after shot.
Almost came out with a draw. Intense few minutes at the end :)

Update on the soccer, we ended up lossing 1-0 in extra time. :(
Still it was a magnificent effort getting to the Asia cup final. We need some new blood in tht team.

Gah! I stayed up late to watch that game. We played so well-so many fantastic chances that we should have won by a few goals at least.

I'm a tennis fan too - I've been away on hols camping so couldn't watch much of the Aus open. went to Medibank International night session and saw Clijsters dominate her game, so have been following her since - loved that moment with Todd Woodbridge - he always seems so 'good' it was really funny having him called on tactless texting!! She is a really good sport in every sense! Loved the Hewitt match too although I was disappointed he wasn't ultimately the winner - a shame too because it took its toll on Nalbandian - I felt Hewitt could have gone further because he would have recovered better. Thems the breaks...
A big weekend for sport. The ICC world cup starts. Our first game is Australia vs Zimbabwe on Monday.
The Super 15 rugby competition starts also, go the Tah's.

AFL season started on the weekend :)Im a Port girl all the way. Disappointing to see our first game was a ten goal loss to Collingwood.
Oh well, I doubt anyone will beat Collingwood this year. Let alone at the MCG.
Port play West Coast this Sunday. Definitley need a win. I think we'll get that, because despite the score we played pretty well against the pies. Got to within 16 points at one stage in the third quarter, and had some impressive debutants. Looking forward to the showdown against the crows in a few weeks :D

Yep Brenda, I was watching the cats game on TV. Extremely boring until the last quarter. Port play Geelong the week after next. At Skilled Stadium. Pencil in another loss there.
BUT MAYBE we will have a chance? Just maybe, if we play well enough. If im not mistaken' Port were the last team to beat Geelong up at Skilled Stadium. By a point. In the last second of the game. I remember watching that game live :)

Yes, they are always exciting to watch when there's lots of action!! We'll have to wait and see with the games. New season, new players, new coach....Port has as much chance as the Cats! :)
We have rellies going from MtGambier too...hope they all enjoy their time..the atmosphere would be electric, anyway!
