Yes, Sydney are doing enough to get the points. Hate to be a Melbourne supporter- they are a rabble.
My other half is delighted that Power beat the Giants - especially because it was a tribute match...In our 5 years together I've learnt more about footy than I ever wanted to know ;)

Around the time they first started televising Aussie rules, he became more interested in the game and then of course the Swans move to Sydney, where we lived back then. We are red and white through and through,but usually watch other AFL games as well. A while since Port Power's been up ther Michael. Hinkley must've done something good. Geelong did well to get that win last week Brenda.

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH PORT I was following live updates of the game on my phone all night at work & was expecting a ten goal loss. When we got within four goals I was content with the effort and would have been fine with a marginal loss.
Then when I saw we hit the lead I was literally jumping up and down infront of everyone, It was amazinggggg. Going to finally return to Aami Stadium for the next home game I think.
lol I was at my friend's place for a girls' dinner and movie night, and I kept getting regular messages and phone calls from my other half; angry at first because the undefeated Power were losing by so much, then the calls got more excited and by the time the last call came my friend and I were almost hysterical with laughter because when I answered the phone I was serenaded with the Power song :) lol He's a very happy man! (now) lol
I'm a Sydney supporter but you have to admire that win from Port and the way they have turned themselves around.

It will be indeed! Port play Kangaroos & Richmond next, it'll be interesting to see how we can go against them, since they're both on some pretty good form
I havent been to a home game in ages man! I think the last one I went to was Primus's first showdown. I know right. Im so desperate to go to the Richmond game but I'm working at 4. Ughhh. I've arranged to go with a friend to the home game after that, against Geelong. Ouch.
That is quite the plan. Or I'll find someone to swap a shift with. If we beat the Kangaroos that plan may become a reality :)

Yes, too right. All sport does so much to draw people together. What a wonderful thing. Even if I don't follow AFL, I bet it's cricket or something else in common, sporting wise.
Disappointing loss against the Kanagroos, but I expected it. At least the final score was competitive, perhaps if we had kicked straight, as opposed to 1.7 in the first quarter, we would have won
I hope Ken gives the boys a good kicking and tells them to sort their first quarters out. That was absolutely shocking. :C
The Geelong game will be my first home game of the season, so they better lift

hahahaha no kidding, now all of a sudden their season is "back on track". Come on. What gets to me more is all my friends who go for the crows celebrating, yet Port have still only beaten "shit teams" according to them.
Yeah I've had a lot of Crows fans say that to me. I just let them work it out for themselves.

I can't believe I only just noticed this thread. I love sport, all sport but in particular rugby league. So much so that I wrote a series of romance books based around a fictional league team. Unfortunately my two favourite teams are coming last and second last at the moment. Boo! I'm from NSW so not looking forward to State of Origin either.
