Same here - just put a star rating and transferred from spreadsheet :)
I still have a few spreadsheets to work through

LOL - you keep thinking that Brenda - just don't ever look in my back bedroom

I am so flat out at work I am just coming home and collapsing in fron of TV - haven't been reading much, going online a lot, or playing any of my scrabble game - sorry to my 'words with friends' partners that's why I've been slack or playing late in the evening.
Hopefully should ease up by mid next week and I can catch up with reviews - though they have been getting priority during my lunch break - which is usually a good reading time for me

It was a fabulous day. Brenda and Richard are such lovely people and we're thrilled to have met them. We chatted about all sorts of things... not just books. ;-)

Take your time:) Not a priority for you at the moment...
and yes, sounds like a holiday would go down well!

I love that idea, I only would occasionally write it up in a diary.

It's easy done isn't it, and then before you know it you have to head home.

Thanks Kiera:) It's been a lot of fun!

Oh Marianne they finished showing all of series 1 again!!

Still some nice places to look forward to Brenda :)

Hideaway is what I'd love :) Mount Gambier from my childhood memories was beautiful, and very very windy. Sounds great Brevda, keep us posted!

I saw an ad for it at the weekend but haven"t followed it up yet. It is either out or just about to be so.

A copy will be available in this weekend's Sydney Morning Herald or on line http://www.swf.org.au
The line-up includes Kate Grenville, Helen Garner, Richard Flanagan, Mohsin Hamid, Atul Gawande, Norman Doidge, Douglas Coupland, Claire Tomalin, Michael Frayn, Amy Bloom, Evie Wyld, Ben Okri, Emily St John Mandel, David Mitchell, Jonathan Letham, David Walliams.

He is only considered to be one of the top African authors - and he is NIGERIAN. (for those that don't know I spent my formative years in Nigeria)
He comes from Northern Nigeria so he is very influencial thereso his condemnation of the Boko Harum is very sit up and take noticable!!
Start off with The Famished Road (which won a Booker Prize) then really any of his books to follow. I must confess I am not a fan of his poetry though - but if you are a poetry lover you may appreciate it more than I :)

Yes its out, I got mine last week - even though I watched them all on Foxtel & had them recorded :)

It is quite a line-up. Must have been quite a coup to get Ben Okri to come Sally. The only downside is they charge quite a bit for some sessions. I think Adelaide's probably a bit cheaper.

Yes, Bette, it's available. Great variation in prices. Give me until Sunday afternoon to check out the source I think might have the best deal and then I will list all the sources and prices.
Now, I have a question too. For those of you who watched it, how much does the first series cover? ie, how many of the books? Or just the first?
Thanks!

LOL, Dale, I got Harry Potter!

Carolyn, would you like to start a new thread in the Festivals folder for this? If you just do an "edit" on this original post and copy and paste it to the new thread it'll save re-linking all the authors:) I'm being lazy;) Thanks:)

Ah, what would we do without the internet?
It tells me the second series will cover Dragonfly in Amber, so I guess that means the first series covers Outlander aka Cross Stitch.
Now I know what I need to read before I view the DVDs!
