Yum!! Sounds delicious Marianne:)
Yum!! Sounds delicious Marianne:)

Poured here today but not cold. Still around 20 or 22 degrees.
It's amazing the difference between a few hundred kilometres that's for sure!!! 4c overnight tonight:(

You're in Melbourne Ryan? Well yes, it's definitely cold! A little colder here but it's all relative I guess!!

I've got to say I'm loving the colder weather here in Melbourne at the moment and the rain is so welcome. How wonderful Brenda to be where you are and sitting in your bush cabin, reading your book. Is there an open fire?
No open fire Elaine:( But the heater is going merrily;) We haven't had any rain today, just a bitterly cold wind and low temps. And yes as I said previously, much nicer than the humidity that is still at home!

I haven't worked full time for 14yrs Carolyn, it would be so different now.. I'd have to be careful not to over-do GR at work!!

I agree, it was still warm and sticky air con weather here in Sudney's west today.

I know you love the cooler weather Brenda, keep enjoying along with what the holiday has to offer :)

I know some people find it a problem but I guess you just have to set your own limits. I have the luxury of getting into work early so have half an hour to have coffee, check my email and pop into GR for a few minutes and sometimes also check in for a bit at lunch time (on my personal iPad of course!)

Sounds lovely Brenda. Enjoy. And enjoy your special visit tomorrow. :)

Brenda wrote: "Thanks Suzanne:) Off to visit a special friend tomorrow - our lovely Vicki Tyley :)"<
That's great Brenda! I think I'd have a gushing moment lol! It's so good you're taking the time to arrange these things. Please give a hug to our Vicki Tyley ;) Green with envy in the best way ;)

Loving this cool weather & grey skies. I love winter, so it's lovely to see weather like this so early :)

What a vast country - Bette's pets are draped over heating ducts, and we had our aircon on!

You'll soon be rugged up against those cold Autumn winds Carolyn...get the scarves out!

Haha! Probably a couple of months before we'll need those Jools.

Lol! Probably a couple of months before we'll need those Jools. Might need a jacket or cardy soon though!

well DST ends soon, so then the darkness will be at the other end of the day

The dry season starts officially in 5 weeks - but hoping it arrives early. No rain and high humidity for the last 6 months has taken a toll on everyone. Even our heat lovers are complaining.

And this person will be glad when DST ends. I hate getting up in the dark.

No I like winter,Marianne. After all it's footy season!

Same. If I did a review from long ago, sometimes I'd do a few lines.
We are home from a wonderful day with Vicki and Alan - such delightful, friendly people. They made us feel very welcome and Richard and Alan chatted like old friends while Vicki and I did the same. Beautiful countryside, with a tranquil peace surrounding their place. Loads of birds which fly right up to the house, bathing in the bird baths and saying hello:)

Suzanne wrote: "I'm a summer junkie! I have a question for you guys, I think I've noticed on Sally's books (others as well maybe Brenda). You guys must have been organised, prior GR, did you keep a running spreads..."
I had no records prior to GR Suzanne:) I would have many, many more read books over my lifetime if I was able to remember them all;)

Lovely photo Brenda and Vicki.

I'm sure you're doing other stuff too, but isn't it wonderful how books bring us together?

Glad you all had a wonderful day Brenda. Lovely pic :)

Thanks everyone! It was a lovely day! Having met some of our Melbourne/Victorian members we'll head to SA on Friday to see if we can meet some more members;) I have a standing arrangement to meet up with Michael each time we're in Adelaide:)

Agree Suzanne. Great pic girls. Kind of regretting not taking any photos now, Brenda. Oh well next time. Enjoy your last day in Victoria. Say hi to Michael and post more photos if you can. :)

Not your fault Brenda. We all forgot...just got too carried away with the chit chat. I was kicking myself that I didn't think to take any the other two times we met up!!! Stoopid me!!! :)

I was on librarything for years (still am on the very odd occassion) downloaded books onto a spreadsheet then uploaded here.
I also have a spreadsheet of read books which I started in 2007 - each year has a new sheet - I have this spread sheet backed up in various places so if I lose on one contraption it can be found in another :)
