I can't say I have heard of it. What does..."
There are some very good books on the lists. What a good idea

A well-deserved honour and an amazingly good book.

A bit surprising, but the book was pretty good

Ouch! Stitching is usually pretty tough - but the pulling sensations when you first start to move it again can be a bit interesting. Hope all tendons and nerves are intact :)

No stitches were needed because of how it was bound..If it hadn't of self knitted so well I would of gone to get it stitched though :|

Oooh that's awful Laura - you poor thing! I do hope it heals quickly for you, and you don't have too much pain from it.

My hands have just an involuntary cringe in sympathy with yours...

My daughter did it in primary school and it was a great way to encourage her to read. It's never been mentioned at her high school and I didn't know it was still running.

Up on Kickstarter for backing - looks like it has some good talent behind it!

@Faye - Not a teacher. I am a TA.
@Brenda and Leonie - It's on the mend but a few stings here and there I could do without for sure!! It's amazing whenever you hurt anything how much you notice it in use.

Glad to hear it's on the mend, Laura.

Oh but you know..you should try Baileys Chocolat Luxe which is just like a Toblerone drink!!

I thought you were up early. Are you still on holidays?

Since you have o go to work, I hope that your work is something you love. That always makes it easier, I think.
My sister and I will still swap googies (eggs).

You have to have both together Michael! That's the rules;)

Haha! You're supposed to be reading when you're not working;)

At least this was an easier issue to fix than restoring my recommendations - nothing to do with cookies or caches (nor chocolate nor bunnies nor eggs!) but I don't seem to be able to touch GR lately without doing something strange to my page!!
Haha!! Never mind Kathryn - it sounds like you need a good dose of chocolate mixed with a lot of sunshine and relaxing;)

Lol...better forget about it Kathryn and just focus on that "cache of cookies and chocolate" ;-)
....oh, with a good book of course!

Kathryn, I live in fear of messing up my Goodreads stuff. The thought of it makes me go cold:P I feel badly for you. You need to change your luck - maybe throw salt over your left shoulder? Ahem - that works if you put new shoes on a table which is Really bad luck - so it might be one of those all-in-one good luck cures! I've lots of these old fashioned thingys courtesy of my Nana:) thanks Nana.

hello, gorgeous! I've been in since about 3.30am but I've been swanning around in the US with my buddies over there who are still in yesterday afternoon!

A little tidbit of interesting from Matthew Reilly :
Hi everyone,
So, on Wednesday, after a 16-hour flight from Dallas to Sydney, I threw on a suit and tie, downed a couple of stiff espressos, and headed to the Sydney Opera House to meet the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
As one of 400 people at the reception, I wasn't expecting a one-on-one chat with William or Catherine. But then, suddenly, there was someone guiding me by the arm toward Catherine saying, "Are you happy if I introduce you as 'Matthew Reilly, international bestselling author'?"
A flurry of thoughts went through my mind, chiefly: what on earth do you talk about with a princess? Having never done it before, I really didn't know!
I don't think it's good manners to mention what Catherine said during our little chat, but I will say what I said: I opened by saying that my last novel had been about William's ancestor, Queen Elizabeth I. That proved to be a great ice-breaker, and (as you can see from the photo) we then chatted happily about "The Tournament", Queen Elizabeth I, books and ultimately, how you get young boys reading (a challenge she and William will face in a few years).
It was a very enjoyable experience...and then I went home and crashed.
