You won't be disappointed, Brenda, only when it comes to an end.... that there is no more!
Tonight I'm going to the launch of Wendy James' new book, The Lost Girls - Jaye Ford is doing an "In conversation with Wendy James" evening:) Two of my favourite authors in one room, with drinks and nibbles to go with it:D
Then tomorrow night I'm going to learn how to be a volunteer for the Newcastle Writers Festival:)
And the 20th March I'm going to the launch of Anita Heiss' new book, Tiddas :)
So a very book/author filled month...yay!!

How beautiful is this! For those of you who know the Grampians National Park in Victoria, and also know bushfire ravished the area in January this year:
The words which go with the photo -
From out of the ashes... These gorgeous blooms have burst from the charred earth of Zumsteins picnic area in the northern section of Grampians National Park, which was burnt by bush fires in January. Already the trees are covered in new growth, and although Mackenzie's Falls are still closed all the main lookouts are open and there is still plenty to see. The fire-scarred landscape has a rich Autumnal beauty and is worth the drive.

Stunning!
I know where that is, too. So good to know that not all that part of the park is closed. We may still get our holiday. :)
Thanks for sharing, Brenda. :)
You're welcome Vicki - I was pretty sure you'd like to see it, as your upcoming holiday is right there:)

Good on you, Brenda. :) Have fun and enjoy look forward to hearing all about it :)

It's quite miraculous what grows out of a bushfire ravaged landscape. I remember seeing the same beautiful growth after the fires that destroyed Kinglake here in Victoria.

That's great that you enjoyed it so much Elaine! They've done their jobs when you are so emotionally involved I think:)

A wonderful evening - for some reason I can't get the photos off my phone:( But there was a big turn-out with champagne, nibbles, lots of chatter and fun...plus the serious side of listening to the girls talk. Fascinating stuff!
There were actually three author there, Wendy James, Jaye Ford and Lee Christine.

Just thought I would say hello from Finland - well Lapland actually up in the Arctic Circle. Yesterday we went dog sledding with a team of six huskies. Great fun but COLD! Tomorrow we are off to start our cruise down the coast of Norway. Hope the sea is better than it was in Helsinki where it was frozen! I have never seen that before. Life is full of new experiences.

I'm sure you'll have fun, Brenda.

I love snow! The one thing we didn't do in Canada that I wanted to do was dog sledding - am feeling slightly jealous.

Sounds like you're having a ball Phrynne.

Sounds like it was both fascinating and fun.
If all else fails, you can always email the photos from your phone to yourself. :)
Update: Ignore the last part. I really should read all the comments before I post. :/

What an adventure you're having, Phrynne. I'm so jealous. :)

I've read Blood Vows by Helen Cummings and the heartbreak and abuse she went through was extremely painful... a very brave woman.

"why put off till tomorrow what I can read today"
sometimes I do my best thinking in the shower:P

Moth gets away, I try to rescue moth. Damn thing hits me in the chest and flies down into my pyjamas; I shuck those pyjamas off so quick you'd have thought Robert Redford, a young Robert Redford, was in the room. The moth flies off back out the back door, Poppy is looking puzzled and I'm left standing naked in the kitchen at 5.25am Sunday morning. Robert Redford is nowhere to be seen:(
