Jess I have no problems with reviews before a book is released as long as the book has been read. This girl hasn't read the book at all and is giving a score in anticipation of enjoying it. I do hope she likes it.

I do this. I have friends who share my reading 'DNA' if they love a book I just know I'll enjoy it. I have others who are the opposite as well. If they dislike a book I prick up my ears and go seek it out as I usually enjoy it - lol!

No way!? That's terrible - poor author.

Thanks Mum and Dad for the normal-ness of my upbringing:)

Interesting review, Bette. People can be so strange... But I had to chuckle at the sister-in-law(?) who thought the rating system was for how much she wanted to read a book!! I wonder if many people think like that!

That must be so hard. Best wishes Bette.

Our thoughts are with you Bette, how very sad.

Thanks Bette, she makes really good points which I think the majority of us agree with.

Bette can't imagine how difficult that must be. Like everyone else here sending you love and prayers.

I can imagine that makes the day very hard and sad. thinking of you.

Congratulations re your Dad, Nat, and the order of Australia medal. Also really pleased today to see Adam Goodes, Sydney Swan and duel Brownlow medallist named Australian of the year for his work with indigenous Australians.

It's rather chilly in Sydney today too! Not summery at all.

Not when they're both singing, I assume - because Elton John actually sings with a tune... Even their speaking voices don't sound that similar to my way of thinking!

Shaun, would you like to pose your question here in this thread? We have one with discussion about your question, and it hasn't been chatted about in quite some time! So it'd be great if you got the ball rolling again here:)

I just saw The Wolf of Wall Street. It was hilarious! The whole audience was laughing out loud. Excellent acting too. (But you have to be able to put up with a lot of bare flesh, swearing and drug use.)

I did hear somewhere that this movie has the most swearing in than any other movie ever.
I hate heaps of swearing but I expect hubby will watch it as some stage so will see how o go with it. Hopefully the comedy will help :)

That being said a cover is usually what makes me pick up a book in the first place. :P"
But you wouldn't rate a book by the cover though, would you?
