I have a magic bullet, have for several years now and have no idea how I got along without it before! It's mango season, so various takes on mango smoothies keep it busy. I find it handy for everything from creating omelets to baking to every kind of sauce you can dream up. If it ever gives up the ghost I will advance to the NutraBullet, which looks more or less like a larger version of the bullet.

It's really great for preparing the additions to my home made ice creams. :)

Sounds like you're having a good time with your friend from the States. Did her husband remedy the Downton Abbey situation? Are you now finished season 4?"

Nooo:( Picture me looking very disappointed. We saw Episode 2 only:(

A pretty prominent staff member is no longer 'below stairs', Mary receives a shock from Matthew delivered posthumously... gosh, that's all I can remember. My short-term memory is terrible but also I don't want to give the surprises away.

I've just started watching The Forsyth Saga again. Just love BBC dramas.

Shame! But no, I don't want to know the surprises prematurely! I was going to suggest could your friend fix it up when she gets back home and post out the USB stick, but by that time it will probably just about be on TV here anyway!

I've never seen The Forsyte Saga, but I plan to read it this year...I think! The Forsyte Saga by John Galsworthy Maybe I should watch it as well...

Sally906 | 89 comments Well our beagle is all booked in for an operation on his knee joint on Friday. He has to be caged for 6 to 8 weeks after so we brought the cage home today for him to get use to it. We put some of his dog biscuits in it and left the door open to entice him in. Took him an hour to pluck up enough courage to enter the cage. He is now lying on the other side of the room just staring at it!

Could be a long 8 weeks!

He will be fine - this morning I put his morning chew into it and he went right in a grabbed it. We put his bed next to it so he will have to lean on it while he sleeps so I think by Friday we will be getting close to letting him stay there all day while at work. I have next week off to get him started as well (plus of this? - all that extra reading time!!!). He is having two of his leg bones stitched together and apparently the scar tissue bonds and strengthens it. so if he runs out to bark at anything he will break up the issue and be back to square one.

Poor little man! Good luck with it all - it sounds like he's going to be fine with his new home...he mightn't even want to come out again at the end of the 6-8 weeks! Enjoy your "forced" reading time Sally;)

B the BookAddict (bthebookaddict) Our library has Michael Robotham as a guest on 21st February. I haven't read his books but if there are any available seats left at that date, I'll go along. Best to leave seats for his fans, I think.
