Kathryn | 3569 comments Wonder how long the drugs will last for, though?

message 10652: by Angela (new)

Angela | 351 comments My fingers and toes are crossed for him! He is totally my sportsman crush ;)

message 10653: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn | 3569 comments I don't know who I'm going for now! I was barracking for Wawrinka, but it wasn't nice to see Nadal in pain and now I can't believe Wawrinka isn't stepping up!! He doesn't even need to be playing great tennis - just steady and consistent tennis!!

message 10654: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn | 3569 comments I just want them both to be playing good tennis, at this point!

message 10655: by Angela (new)

Angela | 351 comments Me too. Could be a long one judging by current trends.

message 10656: by Samantha (new)

Samantha (samjay73) I am with you Kathryn, I didn't like Wawrinka's attitude early in the match and then Rafa being boo'ed there is just no need for it. I give Nadal 100% credit for sticking it out!

message 10657: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn | 3569 comments But Nadal is a great player - he can play through back pain, crowd disapproval, holes worn in his hand from his racquet and most other distractions! Obviously Wawrinka has a bit to go before he can be called a great player...

message 10658: by Samantha (new)

Samantha (samjay73) True. Rafa has been up there for awhile Stan is new to the Grand Slam finals

message 10659: by Angela (new)

Angela | 351 comments Plus Stan got super grumpy earlier. Go Rafa!

message 10660: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn | 3569 comments Sorry Michael, we've temporarily hijacked the thread!!

And I thought we were about to hurtle to an end, but maybe not...!

message 10661: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn | 3569 comments And Stan did get super grumpy, but I sort of sympathised with him - players receiving treatment used to be treated on court and their opponent could see what was happening - I think if they go off court, their opponent should be informed of the nature of the injury. But I agree, that he didn't go the right way about it and could have redirected his energy more usefully!!

You guys obviously don't realize there's a sports thread just waiting for this conversation;)

message 10663: by Abby (new)

Abby Min | 60 comments I'm not watching the game but I don't know if Rafa is going to win.... Bad back and all... But still go Rafa!!

message 10664: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn | 3569 comments Nope, didn't realise there was a sports thread and now it's all over. Not Nadal's night but valiant fight. I still think Wawrinka has a bit of mental work to do before he's a "great" player!

message 10665: by Angela (new)

Angela | 351 comments Kathryn - agree, agree, agree!

message 10666: by Abby (new)

Abby Min | 60 comments Aw. Damn. Oh well Rafa is still number 1....

message 10667: by Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen (new)

Brenda | 80178 comments Mod
That's bad luck - I was going for Nadal too (after Federer though!)

message 10668: by Abby (new)

Abby Min | 60 comments Yeah same. I like Federer heaps better then Rafa but I liked him better than the other guy.....

Katherine Juestel (akamexie) | 16 comments Cats. My white double coated 12 year old, name of Houdini, aka WhoDoneIt, has decided that he just can not sleep anywhere but on my brown wool rug. The Roomba is screaming something about over worked robot slaves unionizing.

message 10671: by B the BookAddict (new)

B the BookAddict (bthebookaddict) Thanks everyone for your wishes and thoughts. You think it would get easier but it doesn't. Birthdays and anniversaries - awful. Anyone who has lost a child will tell you that, don't you agree Samantha?

I am sorry for starting everyone's day on a sad note like that. Bette

message 10672: by B the BookAddict (new)

B the BookAddict (bthebookaddict) To make you all smile:)

I took my friend from Baltimore to lunch at my twin sister's home. My baby sister, my niece, my little niece and nephew and my grand niece were there. She walked into the kitchen and exclaimed: "Oh my god, you are a cult!" We are all redheads!

Lots of laughter in the room and she was a winner with my family. Imagine if she's met my other two sisters in Melbourne - also redheads!

Kathryn | 3569 comments I agree with Dale. No apologies needed

Sounds like you're having a good time with your friend from the States. Did her husband remedy the Downton Abbey situation? Are you now finished season 4?

message 10676: by Samantha (new)

Samantha (samjay73) I agree Bette. No need to be sorry, reach for support when you need it. Xx

Faye (lastchapter) | 409 comments Hi everyone, just wondering if any of you have a Nutribullet (the machine that makes juices and smoothies) or even another brand. I have just purchased one and are looking for different recipes or tips. This is to help me with my health kick (and weight loss - long story).

Thanks Faye

Faye (lastchapter) | 409 comments Hi Brenda,

The Nutribullet is the machine you put vegetables and or fruit in and it comes out smooth, the nutrionist like it because nothing is wasted, all the fibre is in the drink. Supposed to give you lots of nutrients and vitamins (hence engery).

Thanks Faye....My son and d-i-l have a very fancy juicer which you do the same thing with - don't know if it's the same as yours. But they used to use it all the time, not so much now I don't think. They and their kids loved the drinks, but it gets expensive after awhile I think...

Yes it's certainly an amazing pic! And for the doctor to be "blown away" when they see so much, is too!

Thanks Sharon:)
