But I had varied colours in my reading last year! Besides, I know better than to judge a book by its cover! And then some books have bright coloured covers, like The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion and I have Me Before You by Jojo Moyes coming up to read as well, but the copies I've picked up have been the blander versions - The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion and Me Before You by Jojo Moyes ! I think it's just the way things happen! Just one of those peculiarities!

Thanks, Brenda. There were speedboats outside the baths, and that made the water very choppy at times. :)

Margaret Sharp (margaretlynettesharp) | 1215 comments Has anyone ever had their shopping trolley taken and not recovered?
Yesterday at the local supermarket I left my half-full trolley unattended for a few moments while I chose some meat. That was the last I saw of it. Not even a customer care lady could locate it.
So it was back to the beginning...

How dreadful. I always worry when I'm at the check out that someone will whizz off my trolly while I'm paying for it. Don't know why I have this fear I just do :)

There was a story on the internet the other day about a customer who glanced at her docket as she walked away from the shop and it had an amount for cash out even though she had not asked for any. Turned out the check out chick was helping herself to people's cash! So watch your dockets as well as your trolleys!!!

Eternal vigilance seems to be necessary.
And as far as the shopping goes, I said to my husband that in future I won't take my hand off the trolley.

I'm puzzled, too. I can't understand why, if it was an accident, there wasn't another trolley located. Surely no one would simply grab someone's shopping on the chance that it contained suitable products.

I think the country from the NSW/Q'ld border down to and including Tasmania (and across through SA to WA!) ALL needs rain Phrynne! Our poor crunchy lawn is crying out for it, and we are keeping our vege garden alive by watering...

Yes what is rain Michael. It's so dry here I'm sick of having to water my poor drooping garden. We've just had a very light shower, but I think it dried up before it hit the ground :)

B the BookAddict (bthebookaddict) What a shame to hear about the death of actor Philip Seymour Hoffman. A waste of an incredible talent. Addicted to Oxycontin, died of heroin/oxycontin overdose.

Oxycontin is a highly addictive drug, you think it's safe cos the doctor gave it to you? No, read up on it on the Internet. The number of people addicted in USA and Aust is in epidemic proportions. Be very careful if you use this painkiller. Sorry for the getting on my soapbox.

Judith Dench is an amazing actress. I heard her being interviewed recently that she is suffering a degenerative eye disease and has to have her scripts read to her so she can learn her lines. She's not going blind just can't read. She said she wished she'd got someone to read her scripts to her years ago because she can lie back and imagine the scene as she listens.
