Thank you everyone for your birthday wishes....I still had to go to work though )-: & only one person there wished me the best....looking forward to my long service, that's for sure..(-:
Hot toddies work a treat; scotch, honey and lemon juice warmed up on the stove. We've got the cold too, back to back with the gastro that struck us down last week. :( Winter in Tasmania (but we love it here anyway!).

The chill is definitely in the air morning and night now Margaret!

Tis gumboot weather again in Tassie. Not that I'm adverse to gumboots. Never shed the child-like joy, of stomping around in mud and puddles :)

I like that. :) Kids, rain, and gumboots--a perfect match. Mine are black and very mud splattered! Chooks and ducks and goats, and Tassie rain :)

I do too! We have 22 now. Three days ago we had 50. Had to give some away, but I admit they were very loud and quite demanding at dinner time! I was the old woman who lived in a shoe (hey, 45, not ready to be old yet--probably never will be--but you catch my drift :)) Now I can love them again. Very funny creatures. :)
Also have a duck, who was hatched under a chook. She lives with the chooks in their house and is very suspicious of the other ducks. Goldie won't go near the dam--because chooks don't swim, of course!

It's the dog connection. :) I remember people's dogs names, far more often than theirs. My staffy was a legend in her own time. Everyone knew her. I think was just the girl Freya hung out with :)

@ Margaret. I had a friend who borrowed Freya for half an hour (I was sitting near by) in order to impress two lovely ladies he had just met. It worked. Freya was pleased to play her part. All happy (I had to subdue my laughter). Luckily he was a very nice person, so the act was not a deception. :)
@ Jessy. Wow! WELL DONE!! You must feel and look fantastic! Congratulations! :):)

Actually, my now deceased Maltese, Rosie, was instrumental in introducing me to my husband Ron!
They do that too. I think Freya helped to soothe grumbles between my husband and myself, before we were married. :) She's gone now too. We all miss her.
