Well, I would definitely agree there...ideally we should live our winters up north, and our summers down south!!! I can't stand the humidity, which I'm thinking you'd have a lot of up there?

Have to admit, I'm shivering today. And we have to harvest vegetables for the market tomorrow--in the icy rain. Fun, fun, fun...

BlueSky LOL - Georgina I made the same mistake - sent good wishes to my M-I-L last Sunday, then found out I was a week early (much to my family's mirth). When we turned out the light that night, my hubby said "Thank God Un-Mother's Day is over for another year!"

Glad I'm not the only one! Un-mother's day wasn't much of a day anyway. We were all sick. Tomorrow sounds better. I'll ring mine first thing and surprise her again!

message 5477: by [deleted user] (new)

My poor daughter was sick all night (we haven't shed the bug yet, it's a whooper). So I will be fussing around her today, making sure all is as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Luckily my son is feeling chipper. Oh, and I'll be phoning my Mum again. :)

Happy Mothers' Day to all!

message 5497: by Lynxie (new)

Lynxie | 715 comments Michael you can also browse to the site on the iPhone - it's a lot better, but you'll need to get friendly with the zoom finger gymnastics! You get the full site then :)

Good luck with the lappy :)

message 5498: by [deleted user] (new)

Grrrrrrr Telstra! Yep, here in Tassie. I blew my top and swore at their recorded message the other day. Strangely enough it seems to be a little better now. Absolutely frustrating internet connection, drops out every five seconds. Therefore eats comments when you try to post them, etc.

Michael, your profile looks fine from this end. I find iphones too small to navigate around GR, and even if you enlarge it, it's hard to do it without touching other links. Good luck!

message 5499: by Davina (new)

Davina | 154 comments I have to share I'm so proud. My daughter read to me at book time instead of the other way round last night. She read Are You My Mother? by P.D. Eastman. We've been doing the readers from school and I thought she was doing well but to hear her read a whole book knocked my socks off. She's picked it up so quick. She won't need me for book time soon. How sad.

message 5500: by Sherri (new)

Sherri (fabledhattress) | 456 comments Michael, with the GR app you can still post reviews but it takes forever to type up. I am always using the app nowadays but it just isn't the same as the site itself :/
