I've hears that Mr. Mercedes is more mystery (or mystery/thriller) than horror. I'll let you know as I make my way through it.

I may be tempted for that one too Nicole!

I got notification today that
The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger
is available for collection for our BOM and also
Luigi's Freedom Ride by Alan Murray
which I was approved for the arc from Netgalley, but I didn't download it fast enough and it was archived. grrrr. So I had to request it from the library so I can review it and get it off my netgalley reading list ;)

I'm also trying to finish
The Book of Life (All Souls Trilogy, #3) by Deborah Harkness
and
Seven for a Secret (Timothy Wilde Mysteries, #2) by Lyndsay Faye
which are due back at the end of next week

message 1233: by Beth (new)

Beth Roberts | 36 comments I love my library. So many things to read, not enough time. . .

Current checkouts as of yesterday:
The Spiritglass Charade (Stoker & Holmes, #2) by Colleen Gleason
A Barricade In Hell (Delia Martin, #2) by Jaime Lee Moyer

Both of these are brand-new, never-been-cracked hardbacks and both are second in their respective series. Loved the first books in both series - really excited for these!

message 1234: by Kristie (new)

Kristie | 3595 comments I just picked up the audio of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1) by J.K. Rowling for the buddy read. I'm hoping I have time to join. I also got An Island Christmas by Nancy Thayer . I was the 30th hold, so I didn't bother suspending it. I figured I wouldn't get it until after Christmas, but it was there when I went to pic up HP. I don't know if I'll actually have a chance to read it right now, but we'll see.
