FlibBity, I liked Bad Boys Ahoy!. It was definitely a light read, but I am a sucker for a sexy, silly, romp once in a while. I liked Lucien's Gamble the best of the 3 stories.

READ
For almost the entire book I kept thinking this was my favorite Sookie book of the series. At least, I felt that way until the end. The book just ended so abruptly and their just was not enough of the Eric we know and love in it. Really, it seemed like there wasn't a lot of vampires in general. Don't get me wrong the vampires were there, but the book didn't center on them like they usually do.
I really enjoyed this book. However, I struggle with people making their lives more difficult by hiding a truth. I know it happens a lot in romance novels. Let's face it, it wouldn't be much of a story if boy meets girl, girl jumps in bed with boy...the end. But, when the lead hides her feelings or an illness or whatever to protect the other person I find myself yelling at the book...TELL HIM OR HER. Geesh! People really find ways to mess up their lives. I just don't like when the story depends on playing games to build the suspese or storyline.
The story of Jack and Grace is a very sweet one. However, that's about the best thing I can say about this book. It was so long and drawn out. I seriously wanted to put the book down and walk away a million times. It was almost torturous.
I think this is my favorite of the Stephanie Plum series. The other ones I have been iffy on. This one actually made me chuckle and I didn't spend the whole book trying to rush to the end. I am really starting to warm up to Stephanie. The first two books I found her annoying, but liked most of the other characters, so decided to give the series a shot. Glad I did. I think she is finally coming into her own. The tension between Morelli and Stephanie is starting to wear a little thin, though. Geesh, how long many books will it take for them to quit playing games? Will definitely try #4.
I just love these books. They are the easiest quickie reads and they make me laugh out loud. I love how Sinclair kept referring to the baby jon as "the infant". For a second, my mind wondered to "uh oh, that's not good. Betsy was kind of feeling down about not being able to have kids and here Sinclair isn't a fan of kids", but then I remembered it was a Queen Betsy book and I'm pretty sure this won't be any deep issue later. Let's face it, in Betsy's world she can deal with anything. Anything but wearing last years strappy sandals, that is.
I changed my books a bit-Book that starts with "s":

I really love this series. I think it's a great series for young adults to sink their teeth into (pun intended).
I think Rose is not only a good strong heroine, but she is an honest one. She isn't perfect, she's flawed and not really afraid to admit it.
Dimitri is sexy as heck and always trying to do the right thing. I love that he, too is an honest character. He tries to do the right thing, yet sometimes gives in and does what feels good instead.
I can't wait to read the next book.
