Dustin I'm pretty sure there is a film called From Hell, but I have no idea if it's based on the book.

I just read Les Mis...if you have the unabridged version, good luck finishing it! LOL...it went on FOREVER. But I just can't bring myself to get the abridged version of anything. I was so ready to be done with it after 2 months of nothing else.

I'm now reading
Summerland, which is really strange and imaginative.

I just reread that for the first time in ages and it's now somewhere in my top ten favorite novels. I liked it back when I was in high school but found that I appreciate it much more now in my thirties.

message 2462: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (notrace) | 105 comments Thanks, Kathryn and Jason! I am really enjoying it so far. I think I am the only person who has never read it and I was feeling left out. :)

Dustin Tracy wrote: "Now reading To Kill a Mockingbird."

It's a favorite of mine, as well.
I re-read it about a year, year-and-a-half ago, and I got much more joy and entertainment from it the second time around. I have a lot more respect for it, as well.

Rose Red to my knowledge wasn't based on The Haunting of Hill House but rather a supposedly real haunted house called the Winchester Mansion.

David McGowan (dmcgowanauthor) I'm reading Under the Dome, but also started reading the sample of Rachel Abbott's Only the Innocent. Rachel self-published this and it's done extremely well, topping the Kindle best seller lists! I can see why from the sample, and think I'll be buying the full book soon to read on my iPad!
