Hm, that's interesting, Aditya, because the 2nd book in that I read is called The Upright Man, but apparently they're one and the same because the synopsis is EXACT. Weird, huh?

It was released in UK as The Lonely Dead but released in USA as The Upright Man.I guess i got the UK version.

Agreed, I didn't like 'The Lost Symbol' either, hoping this one is much better.

That's one of those books where I didn't see what all the hype was about. It's got cracking reviews but it didn't really float my boat

It sounded like great, compelling reading at first, but I ended up giving it only 2 stars.. It's all hype, pretty much.

Holly | 434 comments I started Sharp Objects, but it's now on hold because I went to the library yesterday.

My two current reads are By the Light of Moon by Dean Koontz and Writing Fiction: The Practical Guide From New York's Acclaimed Creative Writing School.

Yeah I had a lot of free time as of late so getting through them pretty fast.Straw Men was good though the ending left some loose ends.The 2nd book however was all over the place.Lets see how the third one holds up.
What did you feel about them or did you just read the first one & not the rest?

For the most part, that's how I feel about his work. There are just a few (particularly his newer work,) that I'm not very fond of..
