Courtney | 293 comments I finished Oryx and Crake a few days ago, which I loved but seemed to take me forever to get through. Damn real life interfering with my reading! Then I devoured Darkfever in two days - total book crack. Today I started American Gods, which I'm super excited about - I've been dying to read it for awhile, and I'm really enjoying it so far!

Scott | 401 comments I finished my 3rd read of It this morning. There are some many stories that are interwoven into the novel. This is my favorite book.

I then jumped right into The Stupidest Angel: A Heartwarming Tale of Christmas Terror. I needed something lighter after reading It.

Swan Song is excellent!!

Currently reading The Pilo Family Circus. Very demented clowns. Reaffirms why I don't like them in general!

I loved The Book of Lost Things and I'm really enjoying Nocturnes so far. I needed some short stories after I long stretch of novels. Sometimes you don't want dinner, just a snack here and there.

Courtney | 293 comments Finally finished American Gods - it was fabulous! I'm not really sure what I'm going to read next - I have The Ruins, Don't Breathe a Word, The Damnation Game, a couple of unread Kings and a whole bunch of books my mom's lent me that I honestly have no time to read lol.

message 1533: by Scott (new)

Scott | 401 comments I finished The Stupidest Angel: A Heartwarming Tale of Christmas Terror. It was a funny, quick read.

Now, I'm continuing through the HP series with Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

message 1534: by Bondama (new)

Bondama (kerensa) | 868 comments Courtney, "The Ruins" is a dead loss - in more ways than one. It's probably the most depressing book I've EVER read. For the man who wrote a masterpiece like "A Simple Plan" - it's downright embarrassing!

Kevin Xu (kxu65) | 219 comments I found the movie of The Ruins to be one of the worst movies ever made, glad I sneaked into the theater to watch it.

Library Lady 📚 | 91 comments Kathy wrote: "I really enjoyed The ruins! I never saw the movie, though."

The movie freaked me out, probably because I have a serious aversion to anything messing with skin or eyes, lol...I didn't know it was a book. The movie was pretty depressing, though.

I thought I was the only one. My daughters have the full series. I bought them as soon as they came out. I myself after all these years just started reading the series. I am not into fantasy books too much. However, the HP series are great. I wish I read them earlier.

I have to agree. I try to finish every book I start no matter how bad the book is. The Ruins I could not complete.
