Welcome Julie, glad to have you with us this month!
If you take a look at our rule #3, you will notice that 4 recommendations will be given from your TBR shelf. That means that you'll be familiar with at least 4 choices. This is a challenge though, so 4 other choices will be given to you that will be totally new to you.
While we want to challenge you to read something you normally would not have picked yourself, we want you to enjoy yourself while reading. Therefore giving you a choice in the matter was our best approach. You will get a total of 8 choices and you can pick from those which one you will want to finish.

Oh too bad! Certainly come back next month around the 20th, we'll be here again!

You will still be on time Annie, no worries!
I also made a note to let anybody who is paired with you to just make the 8 selections as all-new category.

Rules :
1. Everything will be done in THIS thread. Please make your recommendations HERE.
2. Make sure to check back BEFORE the 2nd of June and make recommendations for your partner. If i do not hear from you in this thread or through a private message by 11pm, i will assume you will not be participating. Therefore i will re-assign your partner to somebody else.
3. Give 8 book choices to your partner. 4 from their TBR and 4 brand new to them author/book. Of course we are only committed to FINISH 1 recommendation; but this will give your partner different options to choose from depending on their reading mood.
Please set your profiles to PUBLIC until the 2nd of June. Just in case i need to get in contact with any of you, or if i need to look at your profile for the pairing.

You said Midnight Dee? Now I wonder if I should wait!

Since i'm still awake and stuck at work (and wanting to procrastinate writing my paper for school, I figured I would come up with some recommendations for you!
For people who have lots of books on their profiles, we don't have lots in common, so I hope my picks work!
From your TBR
Outlander - this series is probably one of my all time favorites, Diana Gabaldon just has a way of writing so you feel like you are in the situation - its a bit slow at the start, but picks up about 1/2 way through
The Kite Runner - I haven't read this one, but its in my TBR pile as well and I've heard good things about it
Broken - I've read other books by Megan Hart and also have this one on the TBR pile for this month
Faking It - this was one of the first indie books I picked up for my kindle and enjoyed reading it - it falls within the chick lit relm but its good and she just released a sequel a few months ago.
New Recommendations
My Name is Mary Sutter - I'm recommending this one because I saw you had several books on your read and TBR about various time periods of history and fiction novels - this one is about a woman who wants to be a surgeon during the civil war
An Assembly Such as This - I saw you had a lot of Jane Austen on your read pile - this is a variation on P&P as told from Mr Darcy's perspective -its the first in a trilogy
It Happened One Autumn -I saw you had 1 Lisa Klepyas on your list, and you gave it three stars. That one wasn't a favorite of mine but this one is - it is technically the second in a quartet, but I think its one of the best
Nineteen Minutes - I saw you had another Jodi Picoult on your list and thought i'd recommend another one - I like the majority of hers, but this one was especially poignent for me.

New:
1. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
2. Ill Wind by Rachel Caine
3. Street Magic by Caitlin Kittredge
4. Storm Born by Richelle Mead
TBR:
1. The Darkest Passion by Gena Showalter
2. Fool Moon by Jim Butcher
3. Hunter's Prayer by Lilith Saintcrow
4. Hostage to Pleasure by Nalini Singh

I had a hard time when going through your shelves remembering that I was supposed to be picking books for you, not picking out books for me. I can't wait to see what you choose for me!
I'm afraid I just recently started reading paranormal so wouldn't be very good at recommending anything in that genre but judging from your shelves you've got it covered without help from me. :)
From your TBR I'd recommend:
Nerd in Shining Armor - an easy and enjoyable fluff read. It's my favourite of the Nerds books that I've read so far.
Naked in Death - I'm on the 5th and still loving the series. Roarke is fantastic! If you ever listen to audio books, this series is really well read.
Daughter of the Blood - Annvelwis recommended this one to me for May and it was really good. It's a dark fantasy completely unlike anything else I've ever read. I found parts of the beginning a little confusing or unnecessary but past that it's great.
Shadow Game - I just finished reading this today and I thought it was pretty good even though I'm not a fan of Christine Feehan.
I tend to read more historical romance and fantasy so hopefully one of these will appeal to you:
Perfume: The Story of a Murderer - I love this book - it's strange but wonderful.
Warbreaker - this is my favourite for a stand-alone fantasy - which is almost as rare as a stand-alone PNR :)
The Host - this is also a past Pick that I really liked. I haven't read the Twilight books yet so tried this to work my way up to them and I thought it was fantastic. I just wish she'd get on with writing the rest of this supposed "trilogy"!
Lord of Scoundrels - this is one of my favourite historical romances (I was going to recommend Seduced By A Scoundrel but the really low # of reviews made me think it might be too hard to find). The character interaction had me laughing out loud several times and you can't help liking the hero even though he can be such an ass.

Hey so this must be a stupid question if shelly is picking for me am i picking for her :)
