message 6251: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Yes, because my reflexes are utterly terrible and I like puzzles.

TPBM will sometimes wake up in the middle of the night remembering a (relatively) old movie/book that they haven't thought of in a while.

message 6252: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Usually when I wake up in the middle of the night, it's to chew on two Tropical Tums to ease the burning in my nose and throat. Nothing in the way of old books and movies, though.

TPBM would rather have a small number of true friends than a large number of casual acquaintances.

message 6253: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments Definitely. Although I know a lot of people, I'm only close to a small handful of them.

TPBM has been called "too idealistic" at times.

message 6254: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments No, although I have been called a dreamer and unrealistic. (But that is, I have been assured, a part of the charm of being an Aquarian.)

TPBM likes to read his/her horoscope even though s/he pretends to not put any weight in it.

message 6255: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments If someone handed me a horoscope for Gemini, I would definitely read it. I won't put too much stock into it if it's negative, but positive entries, hell yeah.

TPBM can play the piano.

message 6256: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Nope, not well enough to say that I can. I have plunked on it from time to time, all self taught.

TPBM did some minor home repairs today.

message 6257: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments The most I've done today was moving a blue suitcase out of my closet and filling that space with a boxed up bookshelf. I also took a screwdriver and unscrewed plastic holders for the doors that used to be in my closet. No more stepping on them in bare feet!

TPBM has a pleasant singing voice.

message 6258: by Marie (new)

Marie (naturechild02) I like to think so.

TPBM hasn't had much luck with writing lately.

message 6259: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I wouldn't necessarily say so. I wrote "Flipped Off" for this week's Flea Market prompt and I edited a butt-ton of old short stories. But yeah, I feel your pain, Marie, because that has happened to me more often than I care to remember. (Hair ruffle and hug)

TPBM enjoys the music of Seether.

message 6260: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments I like Seether. I've only heard two songs though, one of them while playing Burnout Paradise. "Fake It" is a nice song to be playing in the background when you're racing.

TPBM has heard of Windows Phone (and hopefully is a fan).

message 6261: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments I've heard of it, wouldn't say I'm a fan though.

TPBM has a headache.

message 6262: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I do not.

TPBM had bacon and eggs for breakfast this morning.

message 6263: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Nope I had leftovers from yesterday i.e Fried chicken, bami and macaroni salad.

TPBM is sometimes amazed by the wonders of the environment.

message 6264: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments I'm always amazed by the environment.

TPBM loves to doodle when bored.

message 6265: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Yup.

TPBM likes soup.

message 6266: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Yes, but in moderation.

TPBM likes to make their own soup from scratch.

message 6267: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments I haven't made soup. Ever. Although since I like cooking, I'd probably enjoy that.

TPBM prefers pen/pencil and paper to writing on a computer.

message 6268: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) I like typing, it's easier and faster. I do write a little to try and keep my penmanship from degrading though.

TPBM is experiencing fall allergies already.

message 6269: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Thank goodness i'm allergy free!

TPBM has come up with their own recipe before.

message 6270: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I have! And the odd one has actually been delicious.

TPBM is enjoying the smell of rain before sitting down to write.

message 6271: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments No rain here.

TPBM is going to eat now.
(Bye guys I have a killer headache gotta take some meds)

message 6272: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I just had a lovely Double Quarter Pounder meal at McDonald's, so I'm good.

TPBM has no desire to have children.

message 6273: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments True, and as I am speeding towards 55 that lack of desire has been diminishing.

[Good luck with the head and meds, Lee-lette. Sounds like you are migraine sufferer? When next you come to my city, I'll take you to the needleless acupuncture gal I go to and see if that would improve it.]

TPBM enjoys teaching children.

message 6274: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Only if those children are quiet and cooperative. Otherwise, it's chaos.

TPBM is sensitive to low barometric pressures.

message 6275: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Not that I am aware of.

TPBM has read at least one article on the benefits of meditation.

message 6276: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments I have. My high school made meditation one of the things that we were to do everyday. I still do but to be honest, it's been quite a bit since I've read about meditation.

TPBM discovered that he/she isn't as cynical as he/she previously thought.

message 6277: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Yes. I read somewhere by someone famous that cynicism is what lazy and weak people rely on to justify doing nothing to make a difference. That's a paraphrase.

TPBM gets annoyed by unattributed citations.

message 6278: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) Maybe later.

TPBM believes that tea is one of those things where you don't have a "problem"; your only "problem" is running out of it.

message 6279: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I have a preference for chamomile actually.

TPBM ran a 5k recently and was ashamed by the number of elderly people who out ran them.

message 6280: by Mandy (new)

Mandy Blake | 1231 comments No, but I did run a 50k earlier this year...it took 8 hours, and I was ashamed by the number of old people that did amazingly better than me.

TPBM has tried being a vegan.

message 6281: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments (Nice to see you again Mandy! It's been a while)

Never. Don't even want to.

TPBM realizes that their body needs a balanced diet to be healthy.

message 6282: by Mandy (last edited Sep 05, 2015 05:09PM) (new)

Mandy Blake | 1231 comments If by balanced you mean a drink in both hands then I sure do...jk. Yes, I try to eat healthy.

TPBM wants to build their own house someday.

Thanks Angie it's good to be back.

message 6283: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Meh. I could care less about living in a fancy house. I might want to do it just because I love architecture, but I don't know if I'd want to live in it

TPBM dislikes when movies play a song for their credits that is completely at odds with the ending tone of the movie. (i.e. having a super upbeat song after a cliffhanger ending with beloved characters mortally wounded)

message 6284: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments Oh yes, while I like soundtrack dissonance, I hate it when it's like that.
There's this anime called Clannad After Story. Anyone who's watched that will know the infamous closing theme "Torch". It's called as the greatest troll that ever was. Perfectly fits your description.

TPBM has had an unproductive day but is actually okay with that.

message 6285: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I have been both productive and unproductive. I baked muffins and coconut chocolate macaroons and got the deck ready for fall. But did not get any writing dine and now am lame with ice on my knee.

TPBM likes to sit quietly with his/her books, sometimes even if s/he doesn't feel like reading.

message 6286: by Mandy (new)

Mandy Blake | 1231 comments Yes, sometimes I just sit and hold a book while I day dream fan fiction scenarios where I am a part of the story.

TPBM wishes they could pick what they dream about before they go to sleep each night.

message 6287: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Lol! No, but I have practiced the art of becoming aware inside my dream so that I can then do whatever I want in it. That is fun.

TPBM has not heard of lucid dreaming.

message 6288: by Mandy (new)

Mandy Blake | 1231 comments I've heard about it, I just haven't ever been able to get it to work for me.

TPBM has often wondered if their whole life is just a delusion and that they're probably just a crazy person locked up somewhere, a la 'Shutter Island'.

message 6289: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Yes. And it turns out that that is one of the questions most of the famous philosophers ponder: what is reality and how do I know that I am not right now dreaming.

TPBM will enjoy reading 'The Meditations' by Marcus Aurelius.

message 6290: by Mandy (new)

Mandy Blake | 1231 comments Isn't he the guy Russel Crowe plays in "Gladiator"?

TPBM thinks they've seen a monster/ghost in real life.

message 6291: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Yes to the ghost no to the monster.
[Marcus was placed be Ralph Harris. Here's link to trivia about the movie.http://www.exovedate.com/the_real_gla... ]

TPBM is likes to make lasagna.

message 6292: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Nope. No allergies and I spent the day starting in emergency and finishing in the kitchen. No tan.

TPBM can smell their supper cooking mow. :-)

message 6293: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments Not now. But I did when I was having dinner. I was at a friend's place and she made amazing South Indian food. It was so good!

TPBM wishes that Mondays would be less dreary.

message 6294: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments No. I am content to let Mondays be as they are.

TPBM is almost finished their vacation for the summer.

message 6295: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I've been back in school since early August.

TPBM had accidentally finished books in single sittings when they meant to stretch and savor them.

message 6296: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I have, but not recently.

TPBM has spent more than a year finishing a book.

message 6297: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Do textbooks count? If not, I've never really done that except for times when I've given up on a boom and then given it a second chance at a later date.

TPBM feels that they focus too much on semantics when writing rough drafts.

message 6298: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments No, I do not. I learned, early on, that I couldn't write if I followed the supposed rules of good writing, and so I write, and then edit afterwards.

TPBM enjoys writing essays with lots of references.

message 6299: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments I've only written reports for coursework but I loved having an immaculate reference page. So I might enjoy that.

TPBM has heard of the Myers-Briggs test and knows their result.

message 6300: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I have and I do, but I keep forgetting what it is. INFJ or INFT. (M is an expert on MBT.)

TPBM knows that Meyers Briggs were a mother daughter team and that their typology is based almost exactly on the psychologist CG Jung's typology elaborated in his book Psychological Types.
