TPBM
Yes, but often for the underdog because the current political and voting structure perpetuates the oligarchy, misnamed democracy.TPBM would like to read Aristotle's Politics to understand better the nature of our political system and the hypocrisy of our news media and political leaders.
It's one of those books I plan to read...eventually.TPBM has at least made an attempt to read a book that wasn't in their native language.
I've attempted to read a book translated from another language, but unless you count reading French translations of fairy tales in my French class, I've never read a book in a different language. TPBM thinks it's funny when things get mistranslated (I once saw the tag of a shirt made in China with the warning "Do not slap pandas")
If it wasn't for goofy translations, we wouldn't have Donkey Kong. Hehe!TPBM only gives five-star reviews to books that changed his or her life in some way.
Hmmm...no not really...a book which has subtle writing, with well described characters and well paced plot too could get a 5/5 :DTPBM doesn't really like chocolates..the way chocoholics do
I love chocolate, Urvi. I love chocolate candy bars, chocolate ice cream, chocolate cookies, chocolate brownies...(drools like Homer Simpson).Of all the chores he or she could do, TPBM believes washing dishes is the most tolerable.
Yup, it's way better than cleaning the bathroom or sweeping which I abhor for some reason I've yet to comprehend.TPBM did something cool or fun or interesting this summer.
Yes, all three together. And more than once. Well, for me they were. Related to yoga! :-DTPBM can smell the supper s/he has put in the oven, and it smells so good!
Yes, I can. But it's my mother's cooking. TPBM thinks young Cyprus trees look like sticks of asparagus.
They do. I bet they can also make my pee smell funny if I eat them. Hehe!TPBM keeps his or her fingernails short by picking and peeling at the white edges.
I do keep my nails short; as a musician, it feels weird to have them long. But I cut them instead of peeling. TPBM is sometimes so hungry when they come home that they could eat 4 dinners.
That's happened to me before. My eyes end up being bigger than my stomach, though.TPBM thinks Death Angel is a good name for a heavy metal band.
Are you sure there isn't already a heavy metal band with that name? If not, it seems like a wasted opportunity.Sometimes TPBM can't believe how long band names can be.
The longest band name I know of is Rage Against the Machine and that's not even long by title standards. Regarding Death Angel, yes, it has been taken. TPBM keeps a spray bottle next to the computer in case flies buzz annoyingly around him or her.
I am far, far too paranoid to keep liquid near my computer.TPBM brazenly eats and drinks at their computer.
When I take my computer to the kitchen. I don't eat in my bedroom. TPBM doesn't take food where they sleep to keep from getting ants.
Yes, and all the other bugs and nocturnal creatures that love eating the crumbs humans leave behind.TPBM understands that feeding birds bread crumbs is actually bad for their health.
Yes, and I understand that a lot of the garbage animals eat from living around us is bad for their health.TPBM has had at least one pet bird in their lifetime.
Yes. I rescues a hawk that had been injured and could not fly.TPBM would like to have an exotic pet, like an iguana or tarantula.
A lizard? Maybe. A tarantula? Hell no! A monkey? Awwwwwwww!! ^_^TPBM thinks CJ Volta is a good name for a gnome sorceress.
Gnome sorceress? Eh... maybe? I feel like it would be better for a robot overlord. TPBM sings the instrumental parts of songs when they don't know the lyrics.
I don't really use my Kindle app on my phone because I think the screen is too small to read on. But ok my actual kindle, I've got at least 150 books. TPBM dislikes drinking the last cup of orange juice because of the disproportionate ratio of pulp to juice.
I don't drink orange juice so not a problem for me. (But wouldn't shaking the container minimize the pulp problem?)TPBM likes to drink homemade iced tea with fresh lemon juice.
(It does, Guy. But just because I shake the jug before pouring doesn't mean the rest of the family does.)I'm not a big iced tea fan. I do like hot camomile though.
TPBM doesn't get acne very often, but when they do, the pimples are huge.
I don't get acne often, but when I do the pimples are usually small and easy to conceal. TPBM is surprised at how tan they got this summer.
Not really, I always get a tan from being outside.TPBM thinks their local library system has way too few audiobooks.
The last time I visited the Kitsap Regional Library was 2012, maybe 2013, so I haven't had the chance to remember if they had audiobooks or not.TPBM believes the whip is an underrated weapon in most fantasy stories.
Yes it is indeed!!TPBM enjoys eating raw noodles..( along with sprinkling the flavor sachets on the raw crushed noodles)
I'll do whatever way works for me and is comfortable, regardless of if it's the ordinary way or not.TPBM finds it frustrating when the dentists starts a conversation with you after they have both hands and a bunch of tools in your mouth.
For me, that food would be gator nuggets and snake sausage, both of which I've had only once in my life. Mmm-mmm-mmm!TPBM’s wardrobe consists mostly of sweatpants, athletic shorts, and T-shirts.
No but I do have a limited amount for wardrobe. Mostly t-shirts and shorts for now it seems I have more winter clothes stocked up for later in the year, oh well...TPBM would love to try making ganache.
Depends on the kind of spider and how close it is to my face. TPBM has been bitten by a very venomous spider before.
[Ganache is a very thick chocolate mousse or cream. Delicious and I've made it. It is easy! Go for it!]I'm not particularly afraid of large spiders.
TPBM would like to learn Latin to better understand one of the foundations of English.
That would be awesome, I've been trying to find a good, inexpensive curriculum on it for years.TPBM Knows their familial roots.
I do not.[I used a series of books from the library. And have a Latin translation of Winnie the Pooh! :-) ]
TPBM likes reading 'real' books while sitting in a library.
I don't stay in the library once I've got my books, I just check them out and go home and read there.TPBM works through several positions while reading trying to keep their back, neck and arms all comfortable at once.
LOL! Not really. I have the ability to quickly find a comfortable spot and stick with it for long stretches before shifting.TPBM is procrastinating on a BIG writing project by writing letters and playing word games instead.
I already got my big writing project done for the week. It's called "Nail Bomb" and it can be found in the Before the Storm Hits story thread.TPBM doesn’t understand why the donkey scene from Pinocchio is supposed to be scary.
I do because I read the book (and haven't seen the movie).TPBM enjoyed how the writers of Once Upon a Time wove the various fairy tales into a cohesive world and story line.
I haven't watched Once Upon a Time, so I wouldn't know. But I do like the idea of weaving multiple stories into one canon. It's like what Squaresoft did when they made the Kingdom Hearts videogame: combining Final Fantasy and Disney references.TPBM likes tuna fish sandwiches.
I have many recipes in many books and, oddly enough, I have not doubt that I have the ability to make them.TPBM has his/her own book within which s/he collects recipes and his/her variations on them.
