message 5901: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Not only have I tried to do it, but I've succeeded. I've got heavy metal posters and a Mario calendar on my walls, I've got a bookcase with books (of course), Legos, and a fake leaf fine on it, and I've got an orange and brown kitty named Smokey resting comfortably on my bed. Not bad for a guy who lives in creative chaos. :)

TPBM currently owns a piece of outdated technology that he or she is trying to sell (I have a VHS video camera myself).

message 5902: by Urvi (new)

Urvi Kanakaraj (ukainochikara) | 32 comments my entire house is antiquated. Got a couple of outdated technologies gathering dust, but not ready to be sold yet!

TPBM listens to music from all over the world, can even appreciate Korean an Japanese pop!

message 5903: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Yes. (Here is a play list I created for a friend's birthday: 4lMY23: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=... )

message 5904: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Oops!
TPBM likes fresh fruit with yoghurt for breakfast.

message 5905: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) I've never had fruit or yogurt for breakfast.

TPBM has gotten a song stuck in their head that was in a language they didn't even know.

message 5906: by Nora (new)

Nora (noramarie) | 14 comments No
The TPBM has had ice cream for breakfast.

message 5907: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments LOL! Yes, I have, but only once or twice.

TPBM will likely have this French stuck in their head for the rest of the day: Quand Est? by Stromae.

message 5908: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments My head can be a chaotic place sometimes, but not for French-language songs. You're talking to a guy who used to listen to Mexican rap and still listens to German metal and Hindi world music.

TPBM keeps a list of pretty much everything in his or her creative life.

message 5909: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments No. Although I have a copy of Sei Shonagon's The Pillow Book , which is perhaps one of the most beautiful and literate book of lists ever written.

TPBM enjoys the sounds of trains passing by in the evening.

message 5910: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments It's a nice sound that I haven't heard in awhile 'cause the passenger trains here in Jamaica stopped running for some while now.

TPBM wan't to go on a stay-cation for the rest of the summer break.

message 5911: by Ruthie (new)

Ruthie (bluephoenix20) | 129 comments Summer is already finished here. We're already into the rainy season. I had to work overseas during the summer months. :(

TPBM likes to listen to music while doing work/homework.

message 5912: by Lee (last edited Jul 29, 2015 09:31PM) (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Yes, it's soothing and helps me not to stress too much about he work.

TPBM just ate.

message 5913: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I did. A small snack since I had a very light supper tonight.

TPBM enjoys the flavour combination of ginger and chocolate.

message 5914: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I'm not a big fan of ginger, but give me all the chocolate you've got! Mmm-mmm-mmm!

TPBM is a night owl.

message 5915: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4489 comments Yeah and working on it to get back on track. It's hard though to work at getting a decent time to go to bed when everyone else in the house stays up late as well!

TPBM loves the air conditioner while someone else in the house likes to turn it off (or finds it too cold).

message 5916: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments We don't have an air conditioner in our house. We have ceiling fans and in this summer weather, everybody loves them.

TPBM constantly has people asking if he or she is okay.

message 5917: by Ruthie (new)

Ruthie (bluephoenix20) | 129 comments Yup! Especially since I'm suffering from a cold and has been coughing a lot lately. My colleague even gave me a face mask and medicine. LOL.

TPBM is medically required to wear glasses, but stubbornly refuses to do so. :)

message 5918: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments The only way I would be required to do so is if I was driving. But since I haven't a license nor a car, I don't have to worry about that.

TPBM freaks out and runs away whenever a bee or a wasp is buzzing near him or her.

message 5919: by Nadia (new)

Nadia | 690 comments I think our winged friends have a sort of grace about them. I often find myself watching them, until I get stung.

TPBM Does things they know will hurt them for the purpose of a little fun.

message 5920: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) Yep, I'm an idiot like that.

TPBM suffers the consequences of being the one in the family who is best with technology.

message 5921: by Ruthie (new)

Ruthie (bluephoenix20) | 129 comments Frequently. When I was in Japan, my mom would call at night just so I can teach her how to navigate her phone. :D

TPBM is so busy at work/school and looking forward to some vacation time soon.

message 5922: by Lee (last edited Jul 30, 2015 04:20PM) (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Nope.

TPBM is sweating due to the heat even though it's raining

message 5923: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments It's not raining here in Port Orchard, so I can't relate.

TPBM would like to visit Sin City despite not being a gambler.

message 5924: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Nope.I don't think i'd be able to not yield to the temptation.

TPBM prefers to be at home when it's raining than out and about.

message 5925: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I'd say that's accurate. A novel in my hand and a kitty on my lap would be perfect for that kind of weather. :)

TPBM lives in a city other than New Orleans where the traditional song "House of the Rising Sun" would apply.

message 5926: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments I don't think I've ever heard that song before so I would't know.

TPBM hasn't done anything remotely fun since the summer holiday.

message 5927: by Mark (last edited Jul 30, 2015 08:33PM) (new)

Mark (crawdadddy) | 402 comments I was going to say La Grange, TX. Refer to the ZZ Top song.
"House of the Rising Sun" is a reference to brothels.

It is strange you say that, my brother and son have spent the whole summer flying remote controlled planes. But I don't.

TPBM is a really good cook, but not to eat, just enjoys the cooking.

message 5928: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments The best thing I've ever made was a batch of oatmeal peanut butter chocolate cookies. Not only did I cook them, but I ate them too. Mmm-mmm-mmm!

TPBM enjoys water-walking.

message 5929: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Never done it before.

TPBM is watching the news.

message 5930: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I'm watching WWE Smackdown instead. The local news is too depressing these days.

TPBM is getting ready to move to a new home.

message 5931: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments No, but if taken metaphorically I am preparing for a change in my life.

TPBM enjoys the playfulness of mind that metaphor evokes.

message 5932: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Metaphors are fun, especially the well-executed ones. :)

TPBM has a fan or air conditioner blowing in his or her room even during cold weather.

message 5933: by Ruthie (new)

Ruthie (bluephoenix20) | 129 comments Yes, because I love snuggling under thick covers during cold weathers.

TPBM has a sleeping fetish that annoys other people (ie using a blanket even during the hottest weather).

message 5934: by Guy (last edited Jul 30, 2015 11:21PM) (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Sigh. I snore. Is that a fetish? Hmmm. What a funny thought. But it certainly annoying.

TPBM recently discovered their first grey hair!

message 5935: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I'm 30 years old and have the world's most convincing baby face. My first gray hair is too far into the future.

TPBM has been to San Francisco before and would like to vacation there again.

message 5936: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments I haven't been to San Francisco but it's one of the places I want to visit. (I've been to San Diego, if that counts as something.)

TPBM has a song that they can listen to any number of times without it becoming boring or annoying.

message 5937: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments For me, that song is the one I'm listening to right now: "Hey You" by Pink Floyd, a band I've been a fan of since I was a little kid.

TPBM prefers to keep his or her past a secret rather than write a memoir about it.

message 5938: by Ruthie (new)

Ruthie (bluephoenix20) | 129 comments I don't want to write a memoir, but I tend to incorporate my past into my stories and poems.

TPBM has one book that they wouldn't mind reading repeatedly.

message 5939: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments No. I have several and perhaps even many that I love to and do.

TPBM has reread several books more than 5 times.

message 5940: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Yes I have.

TPBM is having a bad day.

message 5941: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments No, I woke up this morning and that in theory is a good thing and everything that follows is a bonus.

TPBM likes to give and get hugs to help pick up people who are having bad days.

message 5942: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I'm a natural born hugger, so yes, I'd love to do that for someone having a bad day. :)

TPBM is a Pink Floyd fan.

message 5943: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Maybe if I knew who that is.

TPBM just got online.

message 5944: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Yes.

TPBM is relaxing before or maybe after supper.

message 5945: by Lee (last edited Jul 31, 2015 05:40PM) (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Before.

TPBM made dinner tonight.

message 5946: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Dinner comes from CostCo this evening in the form of a roasted chicken and caesar salad. Needless to say, I didn't make it tonight.

TPBM has reading to catch up on for this week’s story and poetry contests.

message 5947: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I do, but that won't likely get caught up.

TPBM had a productive work day, howsoever that person defines work.

message 5948: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments My idea of productive work today was helping my parents move furniture and catching up on my reading assignments for this group. It was a physically and mentally busy day for me.

TPBM came close to crying recently, but it never actually happened.

message 5949: by Nadia (new)

Nadia | 690 comments I try to save my extreme emotions for when a situation truly merits them. So, this hasn't happened too recently. However like three weeks ago I had a panic attack of sorts, in which I cried.

TPBM Is deeply into herbal remedies for everyday illnesses.

message 5950: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Yes, for the most part, which includes acupuncture and chiropractics. And I am about to register for an intense course on the ancient Indian ayurvedic practice of Marma Chikitsa, that seems related to acupuncture.

TPBM has seen someone close to them be completely let down by so-called 'Western' medicine.
