message 5801: by Ruthie (new)

Ruthie (bluephoenix20) | 129 comments Nope! It's hard to snore when you are a light sleeper and wakes up at slight noises.

TPBM is struggling right now without their glasses (because the lenses are getting fixed).

message 5802: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments I don't wear glassess.

TPBM just ate.

message 5803: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments A few hours ago I had a bag of bacon and cheese-flavored potato chips. Does that count?

TPBM once wrote a story while mentally distracted and it cost him or her.

message 5804: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Hmmm... I don't know if it's ever cost me. It usually just results in poor writing.

TPBM thinks the cello is the most soothing instrument of the string family.

message 5805: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I'd have to agree with that, Angie. If someone made a new age song using a cello, then I'd probably fall asleep to it at night. Mmmmmmmmm, gentle music.....

TPBM actually likes the taste of mayonnaise.

message 5806: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) I don't even know anyone who doesn't.

TPBM thinks brand wars (like Pepsi vs Coke) are stupid.

message 5807: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Most petty arguments are stupid. I like both Pepsi and Coke, so I'm remaining neutral on that one.

TPBM has annoyed at least one person by excessively using Axe hygiene products.

message 5808: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I have not and that makes me a happy man - like creature. Sort of.

TPBM wasn't really a big fan of the cello until they were introduced to Zoe Keating

message 5809: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments She's very talented, that's for sure. :)

TPBM has multiple ideas for a novel, but doesn’t know what to do with them.

message 5810: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I could probably develop my story ideas pretty well if I just had the time. Most of them just remain synopses and outlines with character charts on my computer.

TPBM has a height chart, either physically or digitally so they know how tall their characters are in relation to each other.

message 5811: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Unless my characters are giants or gnomes, I don't really care how tall they are. It just never occured to me.

Even though it’s an oxymoron in fantasy texts, TPBM would read a novel where a pixie barbarian was the lead character.

message 5812: by Nadia (new)

Nadia | 690 comments I might give it a try, but would only finish it if the writing were superb.

TPBM Doesn't mind leaving books unfinished, living under the philosophy that life is too short to waste time on something less then enjoyable.

message 5813: by Urvi (new)

Urvi Kanakaraj (ukainochikara) | 32 comments Yes, I do that. Even with movies.

TPBM is good at reading a persons body language.

message 5814: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I'd like to think so. It's nice to know who I creep out in public with my socially awkward behavior. Hehe!

When reading a professionally published book, TPBM is forgiving when it comes to infrequent minor grammar mistakes.

message 5815: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Yes, I'd like to think so. Infrequent mistakes don't affect my perception of the book, but I'm OCD so I always take a pencil and fix them. (It makes reread fun though, because I like to see if I can find the typos again. I think of it as a sort of Easter egg hunt)

TPBM thinks chop sticks are great for eating chips/snacky items while reading a book.

message 5816: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I couldn't work my way around chopsticks to save my life. Whenever I go to a Chinese restaurant, I always make sure there's a fork on the table.

TPBM has dreams at night about playing a guitar and then wakes up in the morning to know he or she can’t.

message 5817: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I've never dreamed about playing guitar, but sometimes I dream I had chosen to learn the cello instead of the violin.

TPBM thinks saying goodbye to people who have influenced you is one of the hardest farewells.

message 5818: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments That was certainly the case when my best friend Susan and her daughter Reina moved out of my house. But you learn to move on after a while and life will only get better.

TPBM would like to try cosplaying someday.

message 5819: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Definitely! I would probably like to go as Captain Jack Harkness or as a Weeping Angel. But that would require both time and resources.

TPBM knows how to sew.

message 5820: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I tried sewing in Home Ec class in middle school and I hated it. It takes ten minutes just to stick a piece of thread through the eye of the needle. Ugh!

TPBM is spending Halloween in New Orleans.

message 5821: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Halloween already! ? omg, it isn't even August yet! No.

TPBM loves carving pumpkins.

message 5822: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments As long as I don't accidentally jab myself with the carving knife, yes, I'll enjoy carving pumpkins. Hehe!

TPBM once had blood on his or her hands, but couldn’t figure out where the real wound on his or her body came from.

message 5823: by Guy (last edited Jul 25, 2015 07:54PM) (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Yes.

TPBM prefers making hot chocolate from scratch rather than from a powder.

message 5824: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I've never tried to make chocolate before, so I wouldn't know. I get all of my chocolate from Umpqua's Brownie Thunder ice cream. Mmm-mmm-mmm!

TPBM looks good in a Hawaiian shirt and a fedora.

message 5825: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (last edited Jul 23, 2015 08:54PM) (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4489 comments Haha, I actually saw a straw fedora while in NJ but no I wouldn't be gutsy enough to wear either.

TPBM loves to travel to places by train or trolley if they don't have a way to go by car.

message 5826: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I used to travel by train to and from Western Washington University in Bellingham. I appreciated the fact that they had a food court. That's a huge upgrade from what I got riding the Greyhound Buses: nothing.

TPBM has seen a real life “milk maid” in a supermarket or convenience store (as in someone who searches every milk jug looking for the latest expiration date).

message 5827: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Ha, that would be my mother.

TPBM has used milk or lemon juice to write secret messages.

message 5828: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I can't say I've ever done that before.

TPBM could use a back massage right now.

message 5829: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Maybe my wrists more than my back.

TPBM loves it when a song layers multiple melodies over each other. (i.e. the middle/latter section "The Point of No Return" in the Phantom of the Opera)

message 5830: by Ruthie (new)

Ruthie (bluephoenix20) | 129 comments I didn't know that it was called layering, but I do love that song. I love the whole musical. :)

When TPBM is in another country, they like to visit places that are not so touristy (is that a word???). Somewhere that locals usually frequent.

message 5831: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I imagine I would if I traveled to foreign countries.

TPBM has never been outside of their country of birth.

message 5832: by Ruthie (new)

Ruthie (bluephoenix20) | 129 comments I have traveled quite a lot, for both business and leisure, but I've never traveled outside Asia.

TPBM has a bucket list of "places to visit" and "things to do" they want to finish before a certain age.

message 5833: by Nadia (new)

Nadia | 690 comments Yes, and it is quite voluminous.

TPBM is having a birthday today.

message 5834: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments (Ruthie, it's not actually called 'layering'. the technical term is polyphony, but I didn't want to be obscure)

Nope, my birthday is in December. But if it's yours, happy birthday Nadia!

TPBM loves to watch when their blood gets drawn.

message 5835: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Hmm. Not 'love', but I do find it interesting.

TPBM has fainted at the sight of blood.

message 5836: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Never. I think blood is cool.

TPBM finds it difficult to leave urine samples at the doctor's office without leaving a mess.

message 5837: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments That's never happened to me before, so no.

TPBM enjoys living in a house with lightweight furniture.

message 5838: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I've never really taken notice before.

TPBM always forgets something when they go to DMV or courthouse for paperwork.

message 5839: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I don't have a car, so I've never had to go to the DMV before. In many ways, having a car is overrated.

TPBM knows that as an author, any review is helpful whether it’s positive or negative.

message 5840: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) I'm not an author, I just write for fun. But I do agree.

TPBM has a mental checklist they always go through before leaving the house(wallet, keys, phone, etc).

message 5841: by Maria (new)

Maria Lopez (peterpanml) | 9 comments Yes! Even then I still forget something.

TPBM has read the Vampire Academy series

message 5842: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Nope. I've tried to steer away from the vampire/werewolf of the late 2000s.

TPBM hates it when they stub their toe on a piece of furniture.

message 5843: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments No, it gives me a justifiable excuse to swear and laugh at my inattentiveness.

TPBM struggles with autocorrect because his/her vocabulary confuses it.

message 5844: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I don't have a smart phone nor do I text on my generic phone. All of my internet writing is done on my desktop computer, so I've never had that problem before.

TPBM believes that being a good creative writer requires wisdom.

message 5845: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I think everything confuses autocorrect. My phone always tries to change "book" to "boom". Just today, it changed "blood test" to "bloody thirsty", which obviously didn't go very well.

TPBM researches the names of fictional places in books to try to glean extra meaning from them.

message 5846: by Maria (new)

Maria Lopez (peterpanml) | 9 comments Yes all the time actually!

TPBM has stayed up all night to finish a book before

message 5847: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4489 comments Yes I believe that has happened once and I am not a quick reader!

TPBM loves to watch cooking shows.

message 5848: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I used to, but it was too frustrating seeing all that delicious food and not being able to eat it!

TPBM sometimes has the urge to REALLY cook something, but then decides it's not worth the effort.

message 5849: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4489 comments Angie wrote: "I used to, but it was too frustrating seeing all that delicious food and not being able to eat it!"

Hehe. My brother has a saying. "Never watch cooking shows hungry."

Sometimes I feel that way but lately I LOVE to cook for the experience of it. If I mess up I learn and that's all a part of it!

TPBM always craves coffee when they read about it in a book/ watch people drink it on t.v.

message 5850: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I don't like coffee, so I've never craved it before. My favorite beverages are iced tea and diet soda.

TPBM believes that being a good creative writer requires wisdom.
