C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4489 comments Yes, especially after hearing all this food talk. :D

TPBM is going to the New Jersey shore this week!

message 5752: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments OOC: Goodnight, Lee-Lette. Pleasant dreams!

IC: No, I don't have plans to visit New Jersey this week. That would require a six-hour plane ride.

TPBM believes a good name for a brown and yellow puppy is Reese (which is short for Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups).

message 5753: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4489 comments I can already imagine his fur pattern! That WOULD be a neat name.

TPBM has travelled by plane before.

message 5754: by Nadia (new)

Nadia | 690 comments On one occasion, when I was about five.

TPBM enjoys traveling of any kind.

message 5755: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I imagine I would, but have done almost zero traveling so don't know for sure.

TPBM has traveled by train on a trip more than 500 miles.

message 5756: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Maybe not 500 miles, but I used to take the train between home and college from 2008 to 2009. Much better than the Greyhound Bus.

TPBM has trouble getting noticed on the internet by his or her audience outside of this group.

message 5757: by Nadia (new)

Nadia | 690 comments I haven't really posted anything outside of this group. But I imagine that could be the case.

TPBM spent over seven hours at church today.

message 5758: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments As an atheist, I don't have a need to spend seven hours at church, let alone one.

When TPBM wants to relax, he or she listens to "All I Have to Do Is Dream" by The Everly Brothers on repeat.

message 5759: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Nope.

TPBM dislikes it when people act like social problems are mutually exclusive.

message 5760: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments No. Hatred contributes to the problem. Hating a problem actually promotes or perpetuates the problem.

TPBM has read too much ancient philosophy and tends to misquote it at inappropriate times.

message 5761: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments The closest thing I have to ancient philosophy is "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne, which isn't exactly ancient since it was publsihed in 2006, but it's based off of ancient ways of thinking positively. I'm proud to say that "The Secret" has changed my life for the better.

TPBM would read a book written by Kevin Smith.

message 5762: by Lee (last edited Jul 19, 2015 07:50PM) (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Maybe if I knew who that is.

TPBM loves the smell of dirt when it's about to rain.

message 5763: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Oddly enough, I do.

TPBM was surprised to find a copy of one of his/her favourite books at a yard sale this weekend.

message 5764: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I didn't go to a yard sale today or yesterday. Instead, my family had one last week and we sold those books. I can't remember how much money we got for them.

TPBM has posters of musical groups all over his or her bedroom walls.

message 5765: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I am posterless at home. Being married pretty much precludes posters, I assure you.

TPBM has their office space festooned with small art cards and wise words.

message 5766: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Nope.I'm not a big fan of coffee unless I'm stressed or studying.

TPBM will go to bed in a few hours.

message 5767: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I will, after I finish writing letters to friends I haven't talked to in a few years.

TPBM has never seen a manual adding machine.

message 5768: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Never.

TPBM is getting sleepy.

message 5769: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I am.

TPBM has woken up with keyboard imprints in their face.

message 5770: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Maybe not keyboard imprints, but imprints of some kind. My chest and stomach looked like a road map after I woke up today.

TPBM is anticipating the release of the third Clerks movie.

message 5771: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I haven't seen the first 2 movies so not really.

TPBM knows that that smell of rain is called petricor

message 5772: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I did not! TY. (But my search revealed that it is spelled with an 'h' — petricor.

TPBM loves learning new words!

message 5773: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments petrichor* Damn auto-crrection!

message 5774: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments correction!* Sheesh!

message 5775: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) Yes.

TPBM will stop reading a book when they find a word they don't know and look it up before continuing.

message 5776: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments (Thank you, Guy!)

Yes, I do do that; it helps to build vocabulary.

TPBM has a vocabulary that exceeds their spelling skills.

message 5777: by Nadia (new)

Nadia | 690 comments Yes, I do indeed.

TPBM has a little sister who uses big words.

message 5778: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments In my family, I am the younger sister who uses big words, to the annoyance of my older sister.

TPBM is always sad when they think of all the wasted potential we've lost over the many past wars.

message 5779: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Hmm. Not sad, I don't think. Fascinated that something most everyone claims to not want is what we continue to embrace, promote and fund.

TPBM is fascinated by human behavior, and sees themselves as a kind of experiment in process.

message 5780: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Yes.It's amuses when I watch how people react in certain situations.

TPBM has plans for the evening.

message 5781: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Yes. Yoga with my group.

TPBM will start a new book tonight but will find it disappointing.

message 5782: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Nope.No reading tonight.

TPBM will make dinner in a few hours.

message 5783: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments My step-dad Dale does all the cooking and damn, does he make some good dinners! Mmm-mmm-mmm!

TPBM thinks the blowtorch scene in the first Home Alone movie is hilarious.

message 5784: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Almost everything in that movie is funny!

TPBM is going offline soon.

message 5785: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) Maybe.

TPBM knows that when you try to show someone how well something works, it will fail for the first time in front of that person.

message 5786: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments It always happens! Making people look at me like i'm crazy!

TPBM has run out of things to write in this thread.

message 5787: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I'm not quite there yet, but close.

TPBM feels depressed whenever he or she sees a grown man screaming, "I want my mommy!"

message 5788: by Ruthie (new)

Ruthie (bluephoenix20) | 129 comments I don't mind, as long as he genuinely wants his mom (and not in spoiled way). Everyone needs a mom.

TPBM sometimes feels sad without reason.

message 5789: by Guy (last edited Jul 20, 2015 11:29PM) (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I do, but I figure that there is a reason, but it is unconscious.

TPBM sometimes gets awed at how much bigger the unknown is to the known.

message 5790: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments In other words, we all have a lot to learn and I couldn't agree more.

TPBM is a positive thinker.

message 5791: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Sometimes, but not always. I guess that makes me an ambiguous thinker.

TPBM is basically ambidextrous.

message 5792: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I'm right-handed exclusively, so no.

TPBM dislikes coffee.

message 5793: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I don't know if I dislike it really. but I refrain from drinking it to avoid forming a caffeine dependency.

TPBM sometimes pities a character's existence so much that they hope the author will kill the character off.

message 5794: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments If the character was being tortured or kept hostage over a long period of time, then yes, a mercy killing is in order.

TPBM refuses to join the military.

message 5795: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Hmmm... not really refuse, I guess. I don't think I'd be well suited for it, nor would I ever be drafted for it, but if it ever became necessary, I wouldn't mind being a medic or the like.

TPBM wishes they knew martial arts.

message 5796: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments It'd be nice to know martial arts, yes. Plus, it'd keep me in physical shape. The question becomes, which martial art would I like to study?

One of TPBM’s pet peeves is people mispronouncing his or her name (I’ve been called Jarrison, Grayson, Erickson, Garson, god knows what else).

message 5797: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I don't particularly like it, but I've gotten used to it. Most people say my name with the Spanish 'g' so that it's "An-hel-ica".

TPBM thinks insects are fascinating.

message 5798: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Insects are interesting as long as they're not buzzing in my ear or crawling in my bed at night. Yes, the latter has happened to me before and it was freaky.

TPBM owns at least one Lego set or mini-figure from the Chima series.

message 5799: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I don't own any Lego sets anymore. actually. Gave them all to younger cousins when I got older.

TPBM finds it exhausting to be around people who act like every human error is a personal affront to their social rights.

message 5800: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments More exhausting than having sleep apnea and then moving furniture the next day, which I've done before.

TPBM snores like a machinegun.
