Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I already had a plate of 18 chicken nuggets, so I'm good in the food department, but I'll probably eat again when it's time to take my medicine.

TPBM sees creative merit in using old buildings for new businesses (an example would be an abandoned Wal-Mart in Texas being turned into a giant library, thus turning Wal-Martians into wallflowers).

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4489 comments Wish I saw that in my town; when it is concerning old abandoned businesses, it's like a ghost town!

For whatever reason TPBM loves to hear the subject on recipes!

message 6203: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments It'd be nice to know how to make something other than microwave hotdogs, so yes, that might be true, CJ. :)

TPBM will eventually look up the song “Meadows of Heaven” by Nightwish on You Tube and think it’s the most beautiful thing he or she has ever listened to.

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4489 comments Sounds heavenly. :)

TPBM has listened to Simon & Garfunkel or other mellow music.

EDIT: Just listened to it. Like a power-ballad but preceding with a very pretty piece of music. It was good!

message 6205: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments OOC: Glad you liked it, CJ! :)

IC: "Hello darkness, my old friend. I've come to talk with you again..."

TPBM prefers having wooden floors in his or her house instead of carpeting since the former is easier to maintain.

message 6206: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Totally. It also looks better.

TPBM likes making smoothies.

message 6207: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments That'd a bit more work than I'm willing to go to. If I want a smoothie, I'll go to Jamba Juice.

TPBM feels old when they realize a friend's child has grown up.

message 6208: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I feel old knowing my niece Reina is now in middle school. I've known her since she was only a two-year-old. Now she's this big girl who is only a few inches shorter than me. Holy cow!

TPBM lives in a place where bald eagles live.

message 6209: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I do. One of the largest collection of them congregate less than an hours drive.

TPBM has seen a raven in the wild.

message 6210: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I don't go out in the wild that often, so all I see are the bald eagles in Port Orchard and the crows in Chehalis.

TPBM is a Good Reads Author who recently had one of his or her books reviewed.

message 6211: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments No on both accounts.

TPBM is stuck in the middle of "Sleep is for the weak" and "Sleep is for the week".

message 6212: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments As a heavy sleeper, I'm leaning towards the latter of those two. Although, I woke up at 1:30 in the morning last night to write "Flipped Off" for this week's "Flea Market" prompt, so I could be leaning towards "Sleep is for the weak" as well.

TPBM enjoys sleeping in a cold room.

message 6213: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Yes, because I can wrap myself in the comfort of a blanket without getting too hot.

TPBM doesn't like being in crowds.

message 6214: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments True. It get's hot and rowdy pretty quickly.

TPBM just had takeout.

message 6215: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Nope. I had homemade spaghetti a few hours ago though.

TPBM makes to-do lists often.

message 6216: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Yes but I never follow through. I do what my time allows and soon enough everything is accomplished.

TPBM knows someone who is sick right now.

message 6217: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I do.

TPBM will clean their bedroom Sunday.

message 6218: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments My bedroom is already clean.

TPBM has a fear of public speaking.

message 6219: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) I can't even speak in front large groups of people I know.

TPBM takes forever to read a book of short stories because they just read a story here and there in between whatever they're more actively reading.

message 6220: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments It depends on how big the collection is and the quality of the writing. But I am taking forever to read everything these days as I am nibbling from about ten books right now and not really reading anything continuously.

TPBM remembers the first 'big' book that they read on their own.

message 6221: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Yes I do. I read all of the Redwall series in the 4th grade.

TPBM hates when they procrastinate and have tons of stuff to do because they put everything off.

message 6222: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I do not.

TPBM did yoga this morning, or will do some later.

message 6223: by Mark (new)

Mark (crawdadddy) | 402 comments I am in the reclining praying mantis pose right now, typing with my nose.

TPBM can cook the perfect soft boiled egg.

message 6224: by Ashley (new)

Ashley | 28 comments ... I can cook a perfct hard boiled egg? Half credit?

TPBM is awesome.

message 6225: by Guy (last edited Aug 29, 2015 04:39PM) (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Nope, just an average joe, sort of, sometimes, in a limited way for an off night.

TPBM knows I know what I know and knows it is good.

message 6226: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments It just so happens I already have that song on my Windows Media Player. I love Paul Simon.

TPBM doesn’t understand why getting vaccinated as a child is supposed to be a bad thing (other than the obvious needle pain).

message 6227: by Guy (last edited Aug 29, 2015 08:38PM) (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I do understand why there is a problem with vaccinations. It relates in a large part to the use of mercury as a preservative in the vaccine. For those who oppose it, their concern is that some people may be hypersensitive to the presence of mercury being put directly into the blood stream. To those selling the drugs, they pooh-pooh the fear as being unscientific because the amounts of mercury are so small that there can't be any such effect. But this is where science shows its hypocrisy, because it relies on the hypersensitivity of the human olfactory system to use tracer gas in propane and natural gas tanks. The body can smell that gas at 3 parts per billion, I think. So, we use the hypersensitivity of the body when it is convenient, and ignore it when it is inconvenient. [I have a friend and his wife who swear that they saw and experienced a transformation of their son's behaviour after his first vaccinations. Their observations are dismissed, but their son is quite severely autistic. And my friend is not prone to exaggeration or false perception.]

TPBM is surprised that that relatively simple explanation about the fear of vaccinations has not been made public.

message 6228: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments In my home country of America, we don't exactly have our priorities straight to where such an explanation would be widely seen. It's sad. It really is.

TPBM likes to nap during stormy weather.

message 6229: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I prefer to listen or go into stormy weather.

TPBM is enjoying the fresh smell of the air after a strong wind and rain storm.

message 6230: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments In order for that to happen, I'd have to have my bedroom window open. But if I do that right now, I'm going to get soaked by the rainy weather outside. Plus, I have a bunch of electronics near my window that don't need to be fried.

TPBM recently had a storm where he or she lives.

message 6231: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Yup. Lots of wind and rain. Especially wind. Lots of trees blown over and 400,000 people without power at it's peak.

TPBM has used a chain saw to clear brush and make firewood.

message 6232: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Nope. I just occasionally hold it and walk around the house with it to look cool.

TPBM has the stomach flu.

message 6233: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments [LOL!]
Nope. But it is starting to want something in it besides tea.

TPBM uses loose leaf tea to make tea.

message 6234: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments If I knew what that was maybe.

TPBM is hitting the sack now.
(Goodnight Guy!! :) )

message 6235: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Nope, not yet. It's still early here. [Good night Lee-lette!]

TPBM is enjoying music while doing whatever it is they are doing right now.

message 6236: by Garrison (last edited Aug 29, 2015 09:51PM) (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments That music is in the form of "The Diary of Jane" by Breaking Benjamin, so yes, I am. :)

TPBM would read a fantasy genre book where the orcs were benevolent and friendly instead of evil and nasty.

message 6237: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I would, as I prefer characters over caricatures in my reading in general.

TPBM has found that the ease of accessing movies and series via the internet has promoted binge-watching.

message 6238: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments The internet has brought us a lot of things like that, hence why my generation is referred to as the "Instant Gratification Generation".

TPBM doesn’t understand why testicles are supposed to be a symbol of bravery when they’re the weakest and most sensitive part of a man’s body.

message 6239: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Nope, but I like to wander in small circles looking for big fish.

TPBM is happy being a small fish in a big pond.

message 6240: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Not exactly exactly, but somewhat exactly.

TPBM laughs when people pretend to misunderstand metaphors.

message 6241: by Guy (last edited Aug 29, 2015 10:14PM) (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments What a strange metaphor! I truly don't understand it.

TPBM feels a little embarrassed when s/he doesn't understand what s/he thinks is supposed to be an obvious metaphor.

message 6242: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments True.

TPBM is even more embarrassed to learn that what s/he thought was a metaphor was in fact not one than when s/he thought s/he'd fail to understand it.

message 6243: by Guy (last edited Aug 29, 2015 10:33PM) (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Hmmm. Not adorable, but tending towards cute, in a limited way for an off night.

TPBM just experienced a fushigi.

message 6244: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Well, I wasn't until I read TPAT's comment, because ... well. There are people in the WSS who don't know what a fushigi is?

TPBM is about to turn off their monitor to go and to something else before midnight tonight.

message 6245: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Well, begun the process of writing for this week's prompt.

TPBM began reading a new book today.

message 6246: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I wish! I started a series before the first week of school and I finished the first book, but I won't have time to read the rest for a few months.

TPBM wishes that books came with pause buttons so reading would not take time.

message 6247: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments That'd be great!

TPBM has a chronic disease?

message 6248: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments For me, that would be schizophrenia. I've had it since 2002.

TPBM enjoys going on ghost tours.

message 6249: by Angie (last edited Aug 30, 2015 04:28PM) (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments No diseases that I know of. *knocks on wood*

TPBM wonders why some parents name their children after food.

message 6250: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments TPBM enjoys going on ghost tours.
Nope.

TPBM wonders why some parents name their children after food.
I never wonder about that. WIth the way in which our generation is going, I kinda expect that to happen.

TPBM is going offline soon.
