Last time I pretty much said, "I hate Harry Potter." Now I'm thinking I really, really should justify why I ..."
Okay. You have your opinions we have ours. We're not trying to take that away. And when we counter-act with "We love HP!" Then if you don't like it, just ignore those comments. Make sense right?

Arti, calm down. Yes Anna doesn't like HP. She doesn't have to. The world isn't going to end. There are still lot's of HP fans out there.

Ugh I completely respect your opinion, but I can't believe you seriously like Twilight better than Harry Potter. IMO Twilight is a really average, over the top love story that was nonetheless fun to read, but pathetically average. (with a TERRIBLE fourth book). Harry Potter is so much more complex and the characters are so much more stronger in the sense that they have flaws, strengths, and weaknesses.

I went and saw "The Deathly Hallows Pt. 2" yesterday and I have to say, I was disappointed with it. It didn't seem to flow well, their were some awkward/random moments that didn't really need to happen as they did and I really didn't like the lack of dialogue (even though that is usually expected of a movie filled with that much action).

well, KIMBERLY, u seem to be a Twilight fan, and I hate it. Though on a more logistic note, Twilight was a stretched, dragging, and PLOT-LESS novel. I have enough reasons for saying that, dont worry.
Well, for my LOVE for Potter is indeed unbridged and unqualfied, I believe the PLOT deserves a waaayyyyy better applause than MOST of the Fantasy Books. Its characters were MORE HUMANE, and seemed realisitc...indeed if u are reading a Fantasy, u dont expect a Rational approach at everything, but still, there were ENOUGH RATIONALITIES in the book even after it was Fantasy. Moreover, the VILLAIN, Lord Voldemort was, IS, still the BEST VILLAINOUS character I have read in my life. He was ULTIMATE.
For me, all those people who HATE Potter and STILL love Twilight...well, guys, either U R JUST TRYING TO PROVE IT BAD or maybe you are among those SWOONING GIRLS WHO REACH THE TOP OF THEIR BREATHS WHEN THEY READ ABOUT EDWARD, apart from that, DONT TELL ME TWILIGHT IS BETTER THAN POTTER! Hell NOOOOO!
and for others, well, guys, its a Fantasy Book...I guess if U didnt like Potter, U would have Hated Lord of the Rings and Narnia as well....

You're welcome :D There are many reasons why I love HP but that's just one of them.
Anyway, yes I read the first Percy Jackson and enjoyed it very much, but I wasn't a fan of Sea of Monsters so I just stopped reading the series. But I do plan on picking them up again because I heard it gets a lot better.

I have to say though i do like harry potter better then twilight

Your welcome. And Kimberly the reason why I love Harry Potter is that it is fun with all the magic, and the chapters, characters, the plot, the way it's written and the story over all. Harry Potter was the first series I've read, the first book over 500 pages I've read, and the first fantasy book series I've ever read. Harry Potter was just inspiring to me. That's is my reason/opinion.

I dont thing they're poorly written. At has British slang in it, but it isn't poorly written. I think ROwling was an inspriation for more writers to come out. In some respects, i AM worried about some of the ways that literature is headed, but conserning HP, im not worried. At All. And there wan't any grammatical errors in sentence structure at all.

I can not understand why people hate HP but surely readers can choose what to feel about certain books.
But it is weird to prefer Twilight than HP. The fantasy world in Twilight is a mess. Stephenie can not even keep her opinion regarding pregnancy by vampire.

no problem.... some ppl are just so rude sometimes...lol

personally i liked the first book the best....out of the first two i read lol

Movies: 6th, 1st, 3rd, 4th, 2nd, 5th, 8th, 7th.

HP's not well written...
If you're trying to make that a "fact" when you write things, it's not it's an opinion.
I'm not saying this to anyone in particular, i just saw it somewhere and wa..."
I didn't do that. It's a 'fact' to them, but, a 'false' to you. Same difference. Just let the flow go.

I quote SOMETIMES from the books. It's just I have a HORRIBLE memory, so I can't, even if I wanted to.

HP's not well written..."
Since you hate it, it is quite obvious that you would give all bad remarks to HP series.
However, millions of people think otherwise, as also lecturers and teachers who suggest HP for their students' reading material.
So it is a mere opinion of yours.

and well, its opinion true...but to say that HP is not well written, is strange...because I and along with me, many novelists too believe that J.K. Rowling is a Master at Writing. especially Dialogues.
well, about, Percy Jackson...well, I am not kidding, but actually, its considered to be a CHILD-FICTION like Alice in the Wonderland...and to be frank, it was juvenile.
When it comes to House of Night, and Vampire Academy, they are PARANORMAL ROMANCES and NOT fantasy.
I guess you need to read Lord of the Rings or any such Great Fantasy Book and then Read Potter again. If you hate Fantasy, well...then read nothing and stick to Twilight.
Fantasy has to be dealt like Fantasy and by Fantasy Readers Only. Just an opinion, again. :-)

Err...I suppose I was late with my previous respond.
Okay Kimberly. If the people just 'tried', so it must be only book 1 they bought. Unless they are some kind of readers who prefer to torture themselves by constantly reading the next books, ones they hate. But the great number of the HP series selling is not only book 1 but the whole 7 books.
Kimberly wrote: "And how about those millions of people who can't even read? It doesn't mean they hate it but it doesn't mean they love it..."
Why don't you add the blinds or the infants?
The numbers of us who love HP series could be seen from how many copies HP were sold. I prefer not to add ones who only borrow the books or bought the second hand ones. Nope! I prefer to stick to the valid number, not my imaginary statistic.
