Yeah I got it, but that is why its called a discussion for a reson anyway I had good dicussions elsewhere.

Crabby Constance Well, then why did you come here? Did you get bored of your other discussions? I mean, not to be rude, but if you had such great discussions elsewhere, why didn't you just continue with those?

I found those later on, Yepp I was bored cause most of discussion are either they dislike Hp for writing style, due to magic or they just don't like how mature the series because later. And some are Hp fan bashing the one calling others idiots for loving Hp and some are butthurt fan can't accept that you can dislike something loved by so many.I rather go their now, besides my main reasons were discussed there so I aam reading those. Also I am bad at writing my thoughts Cleary so I always read what others think, rather than writing it down, but in here I had to do it.

Crabby Constance Well, if that's what people dislike, then that's what they dislike. You wanted to hear opinions. If you don't like what they say, then I guess that's just too bad.

Things I hate about Harry Potter series:
1) Harry's attitude never changes, he is still the same kid we met in the beginning of the saga
2)Noone in other houses are the "good" guys (Luna being exception), if someone don't kiss Harry's ass then they get a title of literal evil in the series (I am not talking about the Oop series)
3)Dumbledore and Mcgonegall favouritism towards Gryffindor and especially Harry(Don't deny it Potterfans just don't). I get for Mc but Dumbledore is just a kid in Adults body for doing such thing.
4)Hermione a d Ron relationship, I have no problem with it but let's all be real they are not meant to be as the fans portray them to be.
5)Harry's relationship with Ginny is toxic the same way it is for Edward and Bella, well not that much but when Ginny confessed to Harry that She dated other guys cause she wanted to get over the obsession but she can't forget him that statement is just no, they never had a full proper conversation. They never hangout that much.If everyone things it's realistic and beautiful well maybe for a Celebrity relationship(No it is not)
6)Snape character was great but underappreciated and not done well same as Draco,Hagrid,Neville,Percy and that kid whats his name the Hogwarts Potterfan.
7)The elves are ugly and literal slaves, well I have problem with that and I don't care if you don't agree.
8)Muggles, everything about the word to it's use and portrayal.
And the most pivotal subject the moral of Harry Potter "Bravery". Now the way Jk Rowling portrays it I don't agree with it, I personally don't think it is a flaw that's her ideology but not mine and I can disagree with her ideology cause we both are individual being that faced different situations.

Jasmine Thorpe NO. How can you say it!

message 3110: by Morgan (new) - rated it 5 stars

Morgan I didn't like Harry in the Order of the Phoenix movie. I don't know why but I thought he was selfish and he didn't like his friends even though they were trying to help him.

Filomena Baker I don't like the books, either. But I wouldn't call the people who like it "Idiots". My best friends all love Harry Potter, but alas, I don't. I read the first two when I was in the fifth grade. I found the books slow and the characters dull and flat. I recently read the first book again, and I, sadly, get the same results. It didn't catch my attention, and when it did it wasn't able to hold it. I wasn't able to feel myself in the books, empathize with the characters...

Along with that, I didn't like the writing style, either.

There were at times that I laughed, but the plot didn't intrigue me enough to keep reading until the plot got to the pivotal moment in the series (which I heard was in the fifth book).

I can very much see why people love these books! There fun and a great stepping stone to reading and fantasy, but I just didn't like it, or enjoy it very much.

Matthew Clifford While not entirely bad, certainly not my favorite series. I find many plot points useless and unnecessary. For a much better series, check out Ranger's Apprentice by John Flanagan.

message 3113: by J.C. (new)

J.C. Ahmed I like the Harry Potter books but I wouldn't say I love them. But I get why they're so popular. Rowling created a fascinating fantasy world with unusual characters. And it was different than a lot of the fantasy works available at the time the first book came out. No book or book series will be for everyone, so it's ok to like it or not like it.

IK MY MOMS FORCING ME TO READ IT AND IM ALREADY HATING IT JUST FROM THE BEGGNIG WHAT PERSON DOESNT UNDERSTAND " I DONT LIKE IT" THIS BOOK IS JUST BORING

Tabitha I think Winx Club does a better job on magical schools than Harry Potter itself since no one seems to care that the kids are in danger at Hogwarts. Let alone Harry Potter ripped off of Narnia and many other magical books alike.

I think in Fantasy you can always say that books are ripped off of other books, because the general theme is always the same, but I don't really see an immence similarity between Narnia and Harry Potter since for example there is no wizarding school and the whole plot is different.
And I don't think you should compare a carefully developed school like Hogwarts to Winx Club (:
Besides, the danger is the fun of it and its still fantasy after all...
