Hi everyone.I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself before this
well to be honest I am not a historian, author or specialist in history like you but I am a teenager, its good time to learning ,full of energy curious and searcher about the history of wars. I think most of you have reached this age so you know what I mean. I am here for learning from you and your suggestion.I just hope that if this group has an age restriction, its moderators will not remove me;)

Hi all,I enjoy all periods of military history but I seem to gravitate to WWII the most. I also collect WWII photo albums and documents which greatly enhances my understanding of the period. One of my niche interests is WWII in Miami and Miami Beach since I think something in the order of 20% of all Army Air Corps members went through Miami during WWII for basic and some advanced training. They also had a submarine chaser school there. I also interview historians for my military history podcast and I have a lot of WWII episodes posted. I'm available to answer any questions people have about my work.
Hi Chris, welcome to the group. I am sure you will find a few other members here that share your interest for Miami during WW2.
Good evening,I am a history teacher in the UK and interested in modern history, particularly World War Two and the Cold War.
I am currently reading ‘Appeasing Hitler’ by Tim Bouverie, which is engaging so far.
I look forward to some discussions on this group.

Welcome aboard, Matt.
Hi everyone. I’m new to the group and hope to learn some new things here along with books I haven’t read. I’m very interested in WWII, but also leadership books, current world affairs, biographies, and business books. Looking for a terrific 2020. Thanks, Scott.
Welcome to tbe group Scott, Matt and anyone else I've forgotten about... sorry. Looking forward to your comments.
Thanks for the warm welcome. My interests in WWII are mostly geared around the leaders and their biographies. I have spent many years studying the Third Reich but haven’t focused as much on the Allied leaders. I also am not as educated on many of the battles, both major and minor, as I could be so looking for some learnings there as well.

Hello.I'm a writer and have just published THIS FAITHFUL BOOK: A DIARY FROM WORLD WAR TWO IN THE NETHERLANDS. I'm mainly interested in civilians' experience of war - recognizing their importance in keeping families and communities going during the conflict and in the rebuilding afterwards. www.madzysdiary.ca.

Hi there! I'm an author of a recently-published novel set in WW II (don't know the protocol here if it's OK to give the title) about American women secret agents parachuting into France behind enemy in 1940-44. Since the two-year period of research I spent digging into the archives and on the ground in the South of France, I've become an "obsessive" like many, I suspect, who joined this group! I'm hard at work on Book 2 of my Spy Sisters series and would love to hear from anyone with a story about relative or friend that was involved in the "clandestine world" of WW II. So interested in what you all have to say.
