Jaime Rush (jaime_rush) | 59 comments I tried reading The Angel Experimentbut the 1-2 page chapters drove me nuts. Am now reading Discord's Apple by Carrie Vaughn . A *lot* going on in that book. Too many storylines/flashbacks. But it's good other than that.

Has anyone read Gena's Alien Huntress books? are they any good? Are there any characters of color in them?

La La | 132 comments Finishes reading My Dangerous Pleasure (My Immortals #4) by Carolyn Jewel , good read if not confusing at times. I'm still trying to figure out what type of demon's these are. Now I'm reading Demon Hunting In Dixie by Lexi George . I'm up to chapter 4 and I've laughed like 6 times already. A very amusing read.

Let me know what you think of Hades, Kate...I've been putting it off for a while now because I loved the first one and I'm afraid of the bad time ahead for the main couple.

La La | 132 comments I just finished Demon Hunting In Dixie by Lexi George and it was hilarious with a little smexy thrown in. I would definitely recommend this book. I found myself busting out laughing on the train. People thought I was crazy. Now I'm reading Demons Not Included (Night Tracker, #1) by Cheyenne McCray which is condusing me a little because I feel like I'm coming in in the middle of the story. I'm also reading Death's Sweet Embrace (Dark Brethren #2) by Tracey O'Hara and Kindling the Moon (Arcadia Bell, #1) by Jenn Bennett .

Michelle(Chelle) aka Nightshade - Cake Whisperer (michmag) I started Willing Victim by Cara McKenna because of a recommendation. Not my usual book but after a section in the beginning that I didn't care for too much I am suddenly liking this book.

 * Kazzy * -aka Stryker- (krazzykaz) I am reading One Foot in the Grave (Night Huntress, #2) by Jeaniene Frost

I was introduced to it by some GR friends, and am loving the series already - Cat and Bones are awesome!

Kat Black (kat_black_author) | 23 comments Jeez, Pamela Clare wastes no time putting her hero through the wringer in Breaking Point (I-Team, #5) by Pamela Clare . He's taking it like the man he is, but I'm wondering what'll be left of him for the heroine!

Kat Black (kat_black_author) | 23 comments * Kazzy * wrote: "I take it he's really having to fight for what he wants huh?

Um, you could say that, Kazzy... heroine meets him when she's kidnapped by a Mexican drugs cartel and thrown into a filthy cell next to his. He's been kept chained, blindfolded and tortured to within an inch of his life. I hope the poor fella gets a damn good HEA outta this!

 * Kazzy * -aka Stryker- (krazzykaz) LOL Kat.. sounds like he deserves one!! definitely peeked my interest to read it now.. You will have to let me know if it was any good when you done?

message 4135: by Kat (new)

Kat Black (kat_black_author) | 23 comments Aww hell... things started looking up for him for a while there, now he's outnumbered, tied to a chair and at the mercy of the uber-villian. That HEA better come with sprinkles on top!

message 4136: by La La (new)

La La | 132 comments So I finshed reading Demons Not Included (Night Tracker, #1) by Cheyenne McCray and No Werewolves Allowed (Night Tracker, #2) by Cheyenne McCray and I'm so sad that I didn't care for any of these books. I love Cheyenne McCray's contemporary suspense books, but these were just boring. I couldn't get connected to Nyx, the heroine. She just wasn't written with any depth. Even after two books I still felt like I didn't know her. I felt like someone was telling me a story second hand even though it was written in the first person.

I'm continuing to read both Death's Sweet Embrace (Dark Brethren #2) by Tracey O'Hara and Kindling the Moon (Arcadia Bell, #1) by Jenn Bennett . I think after this I'm going to do some contemp or historical romance. Maybe Charlotte Featherstone, I love her books.

message 4137: by Kat (new)

Kat Black (kat_black_author) | 23 comments Okay, made it safely to the end of Breaking Point (I-Team, #5) by Pamela Clare .
S'good. A heart-in-mouth read that I'd highly recommend - but with the proviso that it's probably better if you read the previous I-Team books first, coz Pamela Clare has let her past heroes out to play in this book as well (which, by my reckoning makes this a bargain - with at least four hot, hard hunks for the price of one!)
Perhaps a touch mooshy in one or two places for my preference, but that issue was more than balanced out by generous dollops of violence, danger and thrills.

Fantastic book! I love the I-Team series, and I haven't read one Pamela Clare book that I haven't absolutely loved.

message 4139: by Teresa (new)

Teresa | 27 comments I'm currently reading Dragon Bound (Elder Races, #1) by Thea Harrison , afterwards I'll read Kiss of Snow (Psy-Changeling, #10) by Nalini Singh , only to move on to Promises Linger (Promises, #1) by Sarah McCarty . Afterwards, I so hope I'll have my e-reader, and the first book I'm gonna read on that is definitely Make Me, Sir (Masters of the Shadowlands, #5) by Cherise Sinclair , followed closely by Wicked Game by Mercy Celeste .

message 4140: by Carolyn (new)

Carolyn | 175 comments Right now I am reading McClairen's Isle The Reckless One (McClairen's Isle, #2) by Connie Brockway which is the 2 book in a series of 3. I have the other 2 and am reading them in order. They are about 2 brothers and a sister. Pretty good for a Scottish Highlander romance.

message 4141: by La La (new)

La La | 132 comments Now I'm reading Black Dust Mambo (Hoodoo, #1) by Adrian Phoenix . I love Adrian Pheonix books but I hate that she introduces the point of view of too many characters.

message 4144: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (laurenjberman) Finished Standing in the Shadows (McClouds & Friends, #2) by Shannon McKenna - the beginning and end are great. The middle lags a bit but I love the characters.

Now reading Seduction & Scandal (The Brethren Guardians, #1) by Charlotte Featherstone - I'm a sucker for a tortured hero.

Christina (darkndirtybooks) | 7 comments My current read is a bit of a break from my usual dark n dirty preference. I am reading a PNR parody The Zillionaire Vampire Cowboy's Secret Werewolf Babies so far, it is hilarious. Like reading an improv sketch. And, it is only 0.99 at Amazon.
