I have recently read Julia Templeton's latest "Sinjin" and "Victor" ( The Rakehells of Rochester series) and really enjoyed them. There will be another book, Rory's story.

Amen, sister. I'd even settle for him not being Irish.

I just finished Lover Eternal, #2 in J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood. Whew! Those guys are great, and I love the taming the beast theme in this one. On to #3 after I read some library books.

Mollie *scoutrmom* (scoutrmom) | 635 comments I just read Sherrilyn Kenyon's second League novel, Born of Fire (The League, #2) by Sherrilyn Kenyon . I was disappointed in the quality, but still recommend it (more details in my review http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...).

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish What was it about the quality that disappointed you, Mollie? Was it the writing itself? If so, remember that this was only her 2nd book she'd ever written and all authors improve over time. Kind of like a fine wine. LOL

Yes, but in the 2009 preface she mentioned that she'd re-written it. I found that the ending was out of character for the hero. You can read my review for more details (I wish I knew how to put a link to that review here). I still plan to read the entire series, I own the 3rd one and await the release of the 4th.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish To place a link for your review, I do it this way so it goes directly to the review...

1. Click on My Books on your home page.

2. Then, when that page comes up, in the little box that says "search my books" type in the name of the book.

3. Then, when that page comes up, click on VIEW, not edit.

4. When the review comes up, copy the address from the address window box at the top of the page.

5. And then once you have it copied you can paste it into the comment box.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Excellent!!! Now, I can show you how to be even tricker! LOL

Ok, first of all, paste the link to your review in the comment box and bump it down a few lines. Then, click on that little link above the comment box that says (some html is ok).

Now, copy the 2nd bullet that starts "link:" but not the word link, just the html part that starts with the

Next, copy the review address again and you're going to paste it into the
You'll be replacing this part of the html code http://www.goodreads.com with your review address. Be sure to leave the quoation marks though.

THEN where it says My Link Text, delete that and enter whatever you want to call the link. I'll name it Mollies Review of Born of Fire.

Mollie's Review of Born of Fire

Isn't that tricky?? LOL Now you and the readers always know exactly what they're linking to.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish How many are there now, Melanie?

Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments Buchanans? I think about 7 or 8? I'm only done with the first two though:-)

Tammy Walton Grant (tamgrant) I just picked up Lover Enshrined (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #6) by J.R. Ward so I spent today re-skimming the first 3 books to bring myself up to speed. (books 4 and 5 tomorrow!)

I would highly recommend re-skimming to everyone -- skip all parts related to lessors, baby powder and whatever bar the boys are hanging out in. Also skip any reference to recruits, John Matthew and workouts. You are left with, uhm, sex. Woohoo!

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 704 comments Next up for me is a run on the Bullet Catcher series.

Then You Hide (Bullet Catcher, #5) by Roxanne St. Claire Now You Die (Bullet Catcher, #6) by Roxanne St. Claire Hunt Her Down (Bullet Catcher, #7) by Roxanne St. Claire Make Her Pay (Bullet Catcher, #8) by Roxanne St. Claire

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Oh, Darcy!!!! I really need to read those. I have them all here but I've not gotten to them yet. I'd love to know what you think of them.

Like all books in a series some are better than others. I do think the series is a solid "good" read, they follow the predictable romantic suspense formula. I am waiting for Lucy, the boss, to fall for a guy, as she gives them all crap and I would love to see her get hers. lol

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Ahhhh, kind of like Jonas Wyatt, hey?

Hope you enjoy them, Mollie! Don't skip that stuff the first time, though (save it for later when you only want to read the romance, ;))

I do read that series, but it didn't click. Not as good as that book or series. More like a tamer version of Pamela Clare.

Mollie *scoutrmom* (scoutrmom) | 635 comments Currently reading To Mother With Love which has stories by Linda Howard, Robyn Carr, and Cheryl Reavis. I've read The Way Home by Howard many times, I bought this to get my hands on the Robyn Carr story.

Darcy, Jonas Wyatt of the Breed series from Lora Leigh got his comeuppance recently in Lion's Heat.

message 692: by Darcy (new)

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 704 comments Lion's Heat was one of my favorites, but for some reason just seeing his name didn't click in my heat.

Mollie *scoutrmom* (scoutrmom) | 635 comments Darcy wrote: "Lion's Heat was one of my favorites..."

I have to be honest and say I liked the early books in the series, released through Ellora's Cave, better than the later, tamer ones.

message 694: by Darcy (new)

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 704 comments Mollie, I am torn, the older ones definitely fit in my category of a "naughty" book, but in the newer ones I like the whole breed politics and conspiracy that has been going on.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish I like the entire series, honestly. There are some things that I find repetitive, but in general I do love the series overall.

It is one of my favorites too! I love the names that the breeds come up with for themselves. Sometimes I laugh when a new one is introduced.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Oh, and I LOVE that they named themselves!!! Law? Rule? Ha!

Mollie *scoutrmom* (scoutrmom) | 635 comments I also find the names that they chose for themselves fascinating. I read a lot of "naughty" books, the spiciness helps keep this old broad awake.

Last week I re-read a lot of the breed books that have the Wolves and Coyotes as protagonists or a main part of the plot. Anya is a fascinating character. The cat breed stories are fine, but my favorites are the canines, from Elizabeth's Wolf to Faith, Hope, and Charity's stories. It might be because I prefer to have dogs for pets (LOL). The one in the Xmas collection this past winter was all right, also.

Three cheers for Lora Leigh ... I can hardly wait until she decides Cassie is old enough to have a love story of her own.

Mollie *scoutrmom* (scoutrmom) | 635 comments I just finished To Mother With Love, by Linda Howard, Robyn Carr, and Cheryl Reavis, and enjoyed it a lot. Here’s a link to my review.

Mollie's Review of To Mother With Love

I'm not sure what I'll read next, but I am taking a breather from paranormal stories so I'll have to finish up my "Dangerous" challenge later.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish My favorite is Dawn's Awakening. I don't know why, but there's something about Seth that screams perfection.

Anya is amazing, actually. But how she put up with DelRay is beyond me. What an ass he was. And Dash Sinclair... the letters from Cassie in the beginning had me sighing all the time!
