Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments Just writing to mention I bought 88 books off bookdepository this week, and... wait for it... 753 books (through lots) off Ebay.. I just counted them and am in major shock! If I don't die of it, my parents will kill me when they find 8 shipping boxes of books on their doorstep in a month! Impulse control problem.. I have none, clearly!
Anyhow, going to bed and try to sleep through the panic!:-)

Wow, Melanie. That's a lot of books. I've only bought 20 books yesterday.

message 609: by Tammy (new)

Tammy Walton Grant (tamgrant) Hi everyone, I just started Night Pleasures - this is the second of hers that I have read.

Fantasy Lover was a really fun read. I'm looking forward to seeing how this series shapes up.

I just started reading this series recently, though I'd read Fantasy Lover a long time ago. I am about to start on book #10, I hope you enjoy the stories as much as I do. I like that each book is enough different from the others that you cannot predict what the next one will contain.

I just read Forbidden Falls by Robyn Carr for the third time, I really enjoy her work. Her new one, The House on Olive Street, is more like Debbie Macomber's Blossom Street books than like a romance, but it was excellent. Now I'm reading The Eye of Night by Pauline Alama, a fantasy.

Melanie, at least you won't run out of books. Good luck with your parents.

I'm in the middle of reading so many books. Some I had put to the side. I hope to finish one book.

For some reason, books aren't keeping my attention.

Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments Read Ransom (Medieval, #2) by Julie Garwood yesterday and adored it! I ordered all of JG's other books that should be arriving by the end of the week! I can't wait!:-) And then today I read Scream For Me (book #8) by Karen Rose , my first Karen Rose book, and I really liked it! The suspense part was great, and the ending had a twist that I hadn't expected.. Now deciding which book to read next..

I'm reading Something About You by Julie James

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish I adore Garwood's historical romances, Melanie. I read The Bride (Lairds' Fiancees, #1) by Julie Garwood first, because I just have to read things in order. Then I got all the rest.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Oh, and I got the first Karen Rose book, Don't Tell (book #1) by Karen Rose but haven't read it yet.

Mollie *scoutrmom* (scoutrmom) | 635 comments Dark Side of the Moon by Sherrilyn Kenyon

A reporter finds out something she shouldn't know about, and crooked cops frame her for the murder of her best friends. She's on the run with someone she doesn't know. What's not to like?
Dark Side of the Moon (Dark-Hunter/Were-Hunter, #10) by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments UM - I also read Garwood's books in order:-) The Bride,The Wedding,The Secret,Ransom,For the Roses,The Clayborne Brides: One Pink Rose, One White Rose, One Red Rose :-) Loved all of them, she's an amazing author! As for Karen Rose, I'm ordering her other books:-)

Just finished Delicious (Wicked Lovers, #3) by Shayla Black and although Luc was an a** for the first three quarters of the book, I kind of liked it:-)

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 704 comments Melanie wrote: "Just finished Delicious (Wicked Lovers, #3) and although Luc was an a** for the first three quarters of the book, I kind of liked it:-) "

I agree with you about Luc, I rated it one star lower because of his actions.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish I rated Dlicious 4 also, though I really feel it deserves a 3, but I still loved him from Decadent.

The weird thing about this series is that I loved Deke in Wicked Ties and Delish, but not in his book, Decadent. I loved Luc in Decadent, but not in Delish.

And Jack Cole... I love him in the nude no matter which book he's in.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Melanie, have you read The Prize ? That is an amazing book. I love it!

Starting Lord Perfect (Carsington Brothers, #3) by Loretta Chase , Mercy (Buchanan, #2) by Julie Garwood or Rebellious Desire by Julie Garwood

Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments Just finished Lord Perfect (Carsington Brothers, #3) by Loretta Chase , love Benedict:-) and Olivia and Peregrine are hilarious:-)

Carol Cork *Young at Heart Oldie* (httpsrakesandrascalswordpresscom) Just finished Major Westhaven's Unwilling Ward by Emily Bascom . I have never heard of this author but I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed the book and as the hero, Major Daniel Westhaven, is brooding, rude and arrogant, at least at first, he fits well into the "Dangerous Hero" category.

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 704 comments Melanie wrote: "Darcy - I just received Roxanne St Claire's Bullet Catcher books: what did you think of the first ones? :-)"

I like the ones that I have read so far. They are fairly predictable, but I am ok with that in this type of book. My favorite part of this series so far is the boss Lucy and I can't wait until it is her turn and she is taken down a peg or two. Right now she seems to be matchmaking and then giving her guys crap when they do fall.

Mollie *scoutrmom* (scoutrmom) | 635 comments Just finished two by Lorelei James, Rough, Raw and Ready (Rough Riders, #5) by Lorelei James and Tied Up, Tied Down (Rough Riders, #4) by Lorelei James . Will soon begin Dead After Dark (Includes Dark-Hunter, Related Books #10) by Sherrilyn Kenyon .

Jessa ♥ EvilDarkSide (metalgirl80) Mollie wrote: "Just finished two by Lorelei James, Rough, Raw and Ready (Rough Riders, #5) by Lorelei James and Tied Up, Tied Down (Rough Riders, #4) by Lorelei James.

I loved Rough, Raw and Ready. I wasn't sure how Ms. James would pull off a woman sharing her husband with another man, but it was so well written that it didn't bother me one bit. I fell in love with Chassie, Trevor, and Ed. They had an amazing relationship, love and respect for one another.

I just started reading Claiming the Courtesan by Anna Campbell Claiming the Courtesan by Anna Campbell and I hear that the main male character is a bad boy of the first order. Can't wait to get well into this book!

Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments Something Reckless (Albright Sisters, #2) by Jess Michaels by Jess Michaels: much better than I thought it would be:-) An easy-to-read erotic historical romance that I very much enjoyed: Jeremy was hawt! :-) I now want to read Miranda and Ethan's story!

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Hey Melanie! That series is actually by Jess Michaels. I've read Everything Forbidden, Miranda's story and there are things I loved about it, but it seemed to end so abruptly. I think you'd enjoy it.

Oh, I make that same mistake all the time, switching authors, and I have no excuse at all except for brain-farts (as my kids call them)
