message 414: by Ѽ Cher Ѽ (new)

Ѽ Cher Ѽ | 125 comments Trying to read 3 books at once.

Started Raised by Wolves (Raised by Wolves, #1) by Jennifer Lynn Barnes a few days ago. So far ... uhnnn...

On audiobook, started ... White Oleander by Janet Fitch . It's read by Oprah Winfrey. No sure if I like her reading. It's kinda putting me to sleep in a nice fuzzy place. Too soft and quick tone of voice she uses in this read. Also a shocker when I hear her reading the colourfull cussing and open sexual discriptions of the book. Why do I put her under the fuzzy pink "goody-too-shoe" umbrella? LOL!

And finally picked up Mockingjay (Hunger Games, #3) by Suzanne Collins from my library... my nighttime read.

message 415: by Megan (new)

Megan | 1285 comments I finished The Gilded Web (Web, #1) by Mary Balogh , which I didn't like at all *sigh* No Mercy (Dark-Hunter, #19) (Were-Hunter, #6) by Sherrilyn Kenyon just came in from the library so I will be reading that one next!

I liked this 2nd book better than the first one. I found Warrior Angel by Margaret Weis a little slow.

I'm glad you're reading Watchers in the Night (The Guardians of the Night, #1) by Jenna Black too. I hope to done with it sometime tonight. It's ok so far.

message 430: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Gilmore | 3220 comments I finished Watchers in the Night (The Guardians of the Night, #1) by Jenna Black . I thought it was ok. The hero and the heroine aren't my favorite couple, but I found a few of the secondary characters interesting enough. I'm glad that I have the rest of the series on hand because I'll definitely keep reading this series. Right now my plan is to focus on finishing Catching Fire (Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins .

message 431: by Valorie (new)

Valorie | 676 comments I agree Michelle, I found Watchers in the Night (The Guardians of the Night, #1) by Jenna Black ok, good enough to read the rest in the series, but nothing earth shattering. I'm now moving on to Legend of the Jade Dragon (A Chintz 'n China Mystery, #2) by Yasmine Galenorn a cozy mystery.

message 432: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Gilmore | 3220 comments I finished reading the Kresely Cole story in Playing Easy to Get (Includes Immortals After Dark, #1; Vikings Underground, #3; B.A.D., #5) by Sherrilyn Kenyon . It was ok, but I definitely think the IAD series gets better and better as it goes along. Now, I'm going to focus on finishing Catching Fire (Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins . I mean it this time!

Michelle Gilmore | 3220 comments I'm starting Kushiel's Dart (Kushiel's Legacy, #1) by Jacqueline Carey as I can walk up the stairs and grab it from a very large pile of unread books that I've owned for more than a year. :(

Yeah, I'm tempted not to finish it, but it's really short, so I'll just try to get through.
