Koontzland - Dean Koontz discussion
Welcome to Koontzland!
>
Introduce Yourself (if you want to :-)

Anyhow, hi all, I'm from Pennsylvania and have been reading Koontz books since I was around 12 or 13 (I'm now 38). I have read nearly all his books (minus the most recent book or two, since I don't have money right now to spend on newly released books). One of my absolute fave books of his is Door to December. I have read it multiple times.

My first experience with horror was reading John Saul as a teenager. I also enjoyed reading A Deadly Game of Magic by Joan Lowery Nixon. I didn't experience Dean Koontz until I was 24. You were much more advanced in your reading.

The Blackstone Chronicles :-) These were the first books I read as a teenager. They were released in short installments around the same time that Stephen King was releasing The Green Mile.
You are both correct. John Saul's writing is not as good as Dean Koontz or Stephen King, but still fun. John has apparently retired from writing. His last book was published in 2009. I think Dean, John and Stephen are all really great people.

I just found this group and am very excited as I have been a Dean Koontz fan for a very long time. Watchers was the first Koontz book I read and I’ve been hooked ever since. I have read almost all his books and can never wait for a new book to be released.
I am currently reading The Crooked Staircase. I’m trying to make it last but at the same time don’t want to stop reading. I’m thrilled to know there are more Jane Hawk books coming as I thought this third one was going to be the last. I just found this info out right now because of joining this group. I’m so happy to have found it. Thank you!!
I look forward to talking to other fans :)

Welcome.

I'm Renee from Long Island, NY. Longtime Koontz fan who just happened to find this group. Anxiously awaiting The Forbidden Door & hope some ARC's become available. I thought initially it was going to be a trilogy, but apparently, Jane has more to say. Dean is one of those authors who as long as he keeps writing, I will keep reading!

Hello and welcome. Koontzland is a great group. What’s your favorite Koontz book? Me; 77 Shadow Street, Brother Odd and the Chris Snow series. If I had to pick one it would be the first one listed.
