Christian nodded in agreement, grabbing a spoon and eating his ice cream. "....does Alek like Sabrina?" he asked.

There was a knock on the door, and Christian answered it.As soon as the door was open Sabrina flew into their house, talking a hundred miles an hour, "I'm really sorry to bother you guys I know I don't know you that well or anything but Susannah's had a rough day and I didn't want to bother her and I'm just really freaking out right now so I really wanted to get someone elses input and you guys were the only people I could think of so please help me." she said without stopping before taking a deep breath at the end.
Rebecca heard her walk in and materialized a new shirt before she got to the kitchen. "What happened?" She asked.
"I was kissing Alek and...he almost bit me." Sabrina said.
Rebecca glanced at Christian out of the corner of her eye before responding to Sabrina. "Almost bit you?"
Christian's jaw tightened at the mention of Alek and her together, but he didn't say anything."Like, teeth right by neck ready to bite, yeah." Sabrina said. "Then he pulled himself back to the other side of the room."
"He stopped himself?" Rebecca asked shocked.
Sabrina nodded. "Why do you seem so shocked?" she asked.
"You don't know about what you do to him do you?" Rebecca asked.
"More like I don't understand it." Sabrina said. "I felt something...weird when we were both being controlled by Adrian, but I couldn't figure it out."
"You are what Vampires call La Tua Cantante," Rebecca told her. "The singer. Your blood 'sings' to him. He will never want anyone's blood as much as he wants yours."
"...but even then he was able to stop himself?" Sabrina said, now sounding as surprised as Rebecca.
"That pretty much never happens," Rebecca said.
"Ok..." Sabrina said. "I think I get it now."
Sabrina sighed. "Thanks for clearing that up." she said. "I guess I'll be going now. Later."
Sabrina left and walked to Alek's house.
Alek opened the door before she had fully reached the house. "What are you doing here?" He asked, sharply. "It's too dangerous."
"I just wanted to talk to you." Sabrina said.
"About what?" Alek asked, leaning against the doorway. His eyes were bright red and there was a single drop of blood on his collar from his hunt.
"What happened earlier." Sabrina said, sitting on the grass at the corner of his lawn.
"That I nearly tore your throat out? I don't see why that needs discussing." Alek said, not moving.
Sabrina looked at him sideways. "Do you want me to be afraid of you?" she asked.
"It doesn't matter what I want," Alek said. "You should be afraid of me. I am the most dangerous thing to ever walk this planet. Not only am I a vampire, I am a warlock with the power to make people fall so in love with me that their only thought is to please me."
"I'm a human. Humans kill the Earth, harm not only strangers but family, even children. Let their neighbors starve while enjoying their own prosperity. They go to war and do unspeakable things in the name of something as arbitrary as a country's pride. I could do all that too, but I don't. Are you the kind of vampire/warlock to do those things just because you can?" Sabrina asked.
"Yeah I am," Alek said. "I've used my powers a lot to hurt others. Ask your cousin what I almost made her do at spring fling."
"you say you are, but your examples are in the past tense." Sabrina said. "If you really are that kind of person, right this second, and you crave my blood, why don't you just take it? that's what the person you seem to be describing would do. here I sit, defenseless."
"Do not tempt me Sabrina," Alek said. "Do you remember going to the beach with the Cullen's?"
"once again, you speak of the past. I'm talking about who you are today. because this afternoon, you're right you could have ripped my throat out. and I was so oblivious I would have let you. but you didn't. which makes it hard for me to believe that you're as terrible as you say you are. dangerous, sure, but a lot of things are dangerous. that doesn't make then bad B-)" Sabrina said.
((that B-) is not supposed to be there I accidentally pressed something on my phone.))
Alek grabbed her and pulled her inside. "What if next time I can't stop?" He challenged. "What happens when we're in a similar situation but it doesn't end with me flyig against your wall."
"so what are you saying?" Sabrina asked, staring into his eyes unflinching despite their intense red color. "that you want to break up two hours after saying that you didn't want to compete with another guy for me and then succeeding in kissing me breathless?"
"I'm saying that you should be much more concerned with your well being than you seem to be," Alek said, his eyes staring right back.
"you mix up choosing to trust you with a disregard for my own well being." Sabrina replied.
"It's the same thing," Alek told her.
"No it's not. I went to talk to Rebecca, and she seemed more impressed with the fact that you stopped yourself than horrified over what you almost did but didn't. and I agree. I'm sorry, alek, but no matter how much you think it would be better for me to be afraid of you, I'm not. you can tell a lot about a person from their eyes and yours aren't scary."
"They aren't even human!" Alek snapped.
"so?" Sabrina said. "dogs aren't human but i find their eyes very expressive."
"Wrong species," Alek said. "You want dog eyes talk to Jacob."
Sabrina rolled her eyes. "my point is that species doesn't matter. the concepts the same."
"You're going to risk you life, because you like my eyes?"
Sabrina kicked him in the shin. "stop being so condescending. if I'm wasting my time here and you don't want to be with me and all that stuff about you being mine and me being yours and the date that wasn't a date with Christian and the kiss earlier, if it meant nothing and you don't want to work to make us work then just say so. I don't want to needlessly waste your time."
Alek pushed her back into the wall, leaning over her. "Why do you want this so bad?" He asked quietly.
"because when I look at you, I see someone with a questionable, probably dark past - but I also see so much potential and want for change or atonement. and I don't know, I just want to be there for you so much. I want to show you that someone can genuinely care for you despite everything else, And then hopefully get you to care for me in return. because when I feel your eyes on me I don't feel cornered or like prey, or even a sad girl who lost her dad, I just feel...happy. I like it. I like you. I know that doesn't make much sense, But that's the only way I can think to explain it." Sabrina said.
"Alright," Alek said, "one more try. But if it happens again, you have to stay away."
Alek put his hands on her waist and kissed her gently.
