L.K. Evans | 7 comments Hello Everyone!

I’ve recently published my ebook, Keepers of Arden: The Brothers, Volume 1, on Amazon.

It is a traditional fantasy following the story of two brothers, Wilhelm and Salvarias Laybryth, as they unravel the mystery of who they are while a darkness creeping across the lands entwines them in its plot to subjugate all of Arden.
Volume 1 starts from the brothers’ childhood as piece by piece they grow to understand there is more to their lives than magic and swords. By the middle of the book, you’ve journeyed with them into adulthood where their bond will be tested when the darkness makes its move to turn the one soul it seeks towards its purpose.

To any who read my story, I appreciate your time. I hope you are able to escape into a different world and forget your own troubles for a short while. Thank you.

F.F. McCulligan | 64 comments Oh hello there, I didn't see you come in. My book is called The Cost of Haven, kicking off my planned trilogy called The Great Cities.

Deagan Wingrat is a battle-hardened knight, sworn protector of the squalid city of Darkwell–that is until his strident actions in the Borderlands call his loyalty into question and he becomes outcast from the knighthood. Only Three Great cities remain Haven, Darkwell and Pillar. Haven is falling and Deagan must break his oaths in order to defend it... but at what cost?

That is the fun thing about social media...you can find like minds and put together something good. I have been in four science fiction/fantasy/horror anthologies and four charity short story/poetry anthologies. All in a year! Plus I have two more in the works. Christopher Pepper | 4 comments Hello everyone, I'm Christopher Pepper and I am happy to say that I'm both a Goodreads Reader AND Author! (I'm also a little shocked I didn't know about this group sooner.)

I always wrote when I was younger (Sci-Fi and Fantasy, the stuff of nerdy childhoods), but it sort of fell by the wayside once I started college. Once I started teaching English though, I felt the urge to write again. The result of which was The Outrider Legion, a Fantasy Action/Adventure novel which I'm extremely proud of.

In The Outrider Legion, all that stands between the Dominion of Tethis and it's enemies are the Legions. Each is dedicated to combating enemies that surround the Dominion. And inside Tethis' borders itself the Outrider Legion keeps a constant vigil. A combination of watchmen, ranger, and soldier, Outriders patrol the roads and dark places within the Dominion, keeping safe its citizens from threats that elude the other Legions.

It falls on one of these Outrider units to undertake a clandestine mission to recover a stolen artifact from a neighboring state. However, not all is as it seems. There are many players in this game, and the Outriders find themselves beset with rivals. They will need all of their wits and skills to survive against renegades, monsters, and sorcerers.

This is a novel for adults, but young adult readers will find it accessible as well. It is the first (hopefully) in a series that would center around the characters in their careers and struggles. The ideas came quickly and easily, the hardest part was finding a routine that was conducive to writing it. Once that was nailed down, the story wrote itself.

So now I find myself with a fantasy novel under my belt, a collection of related short stories on the way, and another fantasy novel percolating in my brain. My only complaint is that I don't have nearly enough hours in the day to read, write, and work!

If any Fantasy fans out there would like to give my book a read, let me know! And I'm always looking for new books to read myself!

Scott Richards Good day everyone,

I write serials, and I tend to do a bit of genre hopping. My fantasy serial BEFORE THE SHROUD just finished its first season.

BEFORE THE SHROUD is an epic tale of adversity and self-discovery. Set in a dark land where evil looms like a storm cloud, and the threat of monstrous infestation is held at bay by masters of the pyxis, a young thief and an old warrior find themselves at a gray crossroads - trapped between sides.

For more info, here's the link: www.amazon.com/dp/B00DU6A67S

Coming next is my scifi serial called LANDON'S PRISON, and there's a sneak peek in the back of the compilation.

For ease of keeping track of episodes and serials, I try to keep the info straight on my website:

If you take a look, I'd love to hear from you and get your thoughts. =)

Thanks for your time, and happy reading!

Brent Kelley Chuggie and the Bleeding Gateways
Howdy, folks! I'm Brent Kelley, author of Chuggie and the Bleeding Gateways. It was published last June by Omnium Gatherum Media, and it's the sequel to my debut novel Chuggie and the Desecration of Stagwater. It's a foul-mouthed, booze-fueled monster party. If you like madness, mayhem, blood, weirdness, and wine, this book might be up your alley. If you're into vampires, werewolves, elves, fairies, orcs, goblins, or trolls, you won't find any here. With Chuggie, I set out to create something people haven't read before.

I've been a Goodreads member for a while now, and it's high time I became active. I hope you all have an adventure-filled day, and I look forward to getting to know more of you fancy folks!

Anthony Brown (babrwn68aolcom) | 2 comments I'm Anthony Jerome Brown, author of the Fantasy novellas Dragon's Dialogue (for ages twelve through adult, like the Harry Potter books) and Neogothic (for teens and adults), both e-books. I'm offering a free file of either book--not to be shared--in return for a review, guaranteed to be posted on Goodreads and Amazon within two months. If you're interested, you could contact me on Goodreads or at babrwn68@aol.com. Please see descriptions of my books below.

In Dragon's Dialogue, a Fantasy novella, a most unlikely heroine, Elatria Golden, a young girl and vegetarian in New York City, seems destined to meet Zardor, a benign philosophical dragon--or is he really a product of her father's imagination? Elatria encounters animals with unusual capabilities, a boa constrictor and a bird, and becomes acquainted with a handsome mutant--or is he really an elf? And Elatria is bound to another world, Ibinissia, where she confronts a powerful malevolent force rooted in the intersection of two planes of existence, and shockingly discovers what it means to become more than human.

In Neogothic, a Fantasy novella, Rob, a recovering addict turned counselor falls--yet again--into shadow as New York's underworld surfaces at the nexus of three planes of existence, and a Demon Lord is pitted against an alliance of humans and Belladoran races--fairies, elves, halflings, dwarves and dragons--in possession of a powerful malevolent relic; and they bet their lives the horrendous maw of malice will self-devour.

D.r. Stokes | 3 comments Hi all, here's the blurb about my new book "The Cinder Crown". It is fantasy but based on history (ish). I hope you enjoy.

Hohenzern is a kingdom at the peak of its power, respected by its neighbours, and feared by its enemies, rich, stable and ruled over by a powerful aristocracy who live lives of fabulous luxury. It is into this decadent world that the young Cordelia is thrust. Rescued from her abusive step-mother and sisters by the Countess Engless, a mysterious spymaster claiming to be her Godmother, feted and loved by the people as their beloved Cinderella, and married to the handsome and brave Crown-prince Dietrich, it seems that Cordelia can finally put the nightmare of her former life behind her.

And yet not is all as it seems in mighty Hohenzern. Beneath the surface the country is a tinderbox of discontent and resentment, teetering on the edge of bloody revolution. While the poorest people struggle simply to survive under the oppression of the privileged classes, others question the divine right of the aristocracy to rule over them, plotting their violent downfall. Even amongst the royal family powerful forces scheme to overthrow the paranoid and repressive rule of the king, with all sides viewing the beloved Cinderella as an obstacle to their success, an obstacle that needs to be removed.

The Cinder Crown weaves together the story of a damaged girl propelled from obscurity into fame, wealth and terrible danger, and also the lives and passions of those who seek her downfall. A unique blend of historically-influenced fiction, political thriller, and classic romantic fairytale, this story takes the reader through a world rich in drama and action; a world where each character is both a hero and villain, driven by their principles, dreams, and loves; a journey to the darker side of happily-ever-after.

Mara Cross thought she was a fairly typical teenager. Sure, her father died six months ago in a car accident, she and her mother haven’t gotten along since, and she’s just moved to a new town and a new school where she knows no one, but still pretty typical, right? Typical, until the day she sees a tennis ball moving in slow motion. Typical, until the day she finds herself in a dangerous medieval world where the magic is very real, the swords are very sharp, and everyone seems to have made plans for her future without even asking her first!

Though she’d like nothing more than to find a way home, Mara soon learns to fight, falls hard for a young nobleman she’s warned to keep away from, and discovers that when you’re the new girl in town, it can be hard to tell the good guys from the bad guys.

Laurie Elrod (laurieyelrod) | 14 comments Hello all! I'm Laurie, and I'm a fantasy writer from South Carolina! My debut novel, Blackridgeis a fast-paced adventure with all the bells and whistles of an epic fantasy--magic, love, mystery, and intrigue. Yeah, it's a good vs. bad tale, but, uh, isn't that what makes a good story?

Here's the blurb:

"If there is ever any one thing that I would have you remember I said, it would be what I am about to say to you right now . . . Elhrin, believe in who you are--reach deep within and tap into a power that far exceeds the limits you have placed on yourself."

Elhrin Caddoch, a sheltered young lady with rare magical abilities, didn't ask for the life that was forced on her after the day her mentor, Gryphon Idwyr, was killed by mysterious beasts on the banks of the Green River. She didn't ask for it, certainly didn't want it, but what was she supposed to do? The bizarre, yet real-feeling dreams of her late mentor had started and he kept insisting that she was the only one who could help stop an impending war planned by the dark god of Do'athra, Obsudius. At first she dismisses her dream, brushing aside the unrealistic thought that a god was actively trying to destroy her country and that she, a mere girl with amateur magical powers, was expected to fight against his evil designs. But then, when reports of a sudden appearance of an army outside the town of Blackridge followed by a second attack on her village from those same horrible beasts confirm the contents of her dream, she begins to waiver. Are her dreams real? Was her mentor truly talking to her from beyond the grave and she was going to have to face a destiny he says she must fulfill in order for her country to survive? Or could she ignore the dreams and leave Anderan's fate in the capable hands of her king and his army?

I hope you guys will come and check it out. Y'all have a great day!

Janet McNulty | 17 comments Hey everyone! I have written a fantasy trilogy; the last book was released May 2013. They are published under the name of Nova Rose. Each book is set centuries after the previous making them unique in that in each they are more like a history of the world I created in the books. I have listed them below with their descriptions. If anyone is interested in reviewing them let me know and I will send you a digital copy.

Legends Lost Tesnayr by Janet McNulty

1,000 years before the birth of Amborese is a far greater story. The legend of Tesnayr. Before the lands of Tesnayr existed, there were five distinct kingdoms. Each proud and constantly at war with one another. But all that changed... A stranger washes upon the shores of Sym'Dul, beaten and barely alive; the only survivor of a devastating war in a land far across the sea. Nursed back to health, Tesnayr makes a new life for himself and begins to think that his past is behind him. Then the orcs arrive led by Galbrok. They quickly ravage the land. Faced with a terrible choice, Tesnayr forms his own army to stop them and quickly draws the attention of each of the five kings. Yet, Tesnayr's past refuses to release him. Can he unite the five kingdoms before Galbrok annihilates them? Can a lone man from across the sea achieve what all believe to be impossible?

Legends Lost Amborese by Janet McNulty

Amborese thought she was a peasant's daughter until one night dark creatures murdered her parents and pursued her into the forest. Saved by a talking cat and her friend Zolo, she fled for her life only to learn that she had a bigger destiny than she once believed. Pursued across the five lands of Tesnayr by an evil wizard's army, Amborese must overcome her doubts and unite the dragons, elves, dwarves, and the five lands themselves. But will they follow a mere girl?

Legends Lost Galdin by Janet McNulty

500 years of peace have reigned in the lands of Tesnayr, but the princess Nylana is forced to watch her brother Galdin meet what all believe to be certain death..

25 years later Nylana is sent on a mission to a neighboring kingdom where she is rescued from slavery by her lost brother. Reunited they travel back to Tesnayr and find that barbarians have invaded from the north and the alliances between the five lands are strained once again. But all is not as it seems as something elusive and more sinister taunts them.

Can Galdin and Nylana solve this mystery and save the lands of Tesnayr?

When a man wanders into Kat's mirage and hears her story, he convinces her to put her experience to good use by teaching history at a school nearby.

Kat spends a year teaching underdog versions of history that never made it into the history books, and teaches her students to live as if they, too, had to live nine times and jump back into any messes they create.

A.M.C. A.M.C. (adamcroft83) | 15 comments Hi all, new author that thought it was about time I joined and started to network!

My first book is reaching conclusion, in the editing process now. The book focuses on one young man's personal battle to avenge the death of his family after a hostile alien invasion, becoming caught up in the middle of an inter-galactic battle and learning of the five power sources (Electrolism/Nuclearism/Radiation/Gravity/Magnestism) that wield ultimate superiority.

Story is fast paced and violent, basically Independence Day meets Star Wars meets Lord of The Rings with Game of Thrones level of violence.

If anyone would be interested in reading the first drafts before they are released then I would welcome feedback, or if anyone with an artistic flair wants to do some sketches of how they see the characters I would love to see a different perspective then what is in my mind - feel free to connect with me on Twitter - @adamcroft83

Look forward to hearing from you all!

E.L. Todd | 5 comments E.L. Todd | 1 comments I recently published my first novel, Soul Catcher, and it's available on Amazon as both a kindle and a paperback. This novel is the first installment of an epic series that takes place across three novels, making it the Soul Saga trilogy.

It details the events of a mysterious man as he tries to right the wrongs of his past. He has been wrongfully abused and damaged, but because of this heartache, he commits criminal acts himself. When he meets the beautiful Accacia, things begin to change. They've both been tormented by the Duke of Aleutian, Drake, although for very different reasons. While they try to escape his cruelty and his malice, shacking up together in the quiet safety of the forest, they realize they can't hide forever. The duke's plans for the Continent are bigger than both of them. Even though they would rather be selfish, neither one of them can abandon their duty to the innocent people of the world, and they realize they have to fight for what they believe in.

This fantasy novel has romance as one of the biggest components of the story, and it will keep you turning the page until the very end of the book. Events of their pasts, as well as their crazy adventures will make you bite your nails until you see how it finally ends.

My novel has been doing well on Amazon and I wanted to spread my work to everyone. Everyone needs a story to get lost in, one that will grip their heart until it's over. If you need something to read to take you away from the heartache of reality, Soul Catcher is your book. Soul Catcher

Sara Bain (sarabain) | 22 comments The Sleeping Warrior by Sara Bain
My debut novel, The Sleeping Warrior, can be described as a crime thriller with a subtle fantasy element, or an urban fantasy, for want of a more specific literary classification.
It is set in London and Scotland and the protagonist is a talented, ambitious lawyer whose near miss with a serial killer leaves her emotionally traumatised.
When she meets a stranger in a London custody suite one night, her life spirals into a series of dangerous encounters. Pursued by death from London to Scotland and back, she is eventually forced to face her fears and learn the potent significance of the sleeping warrior within.

Jacquie | 3 comments I hope someone can help me... I was in the middle of the second book of a historical/roman times/ celtic fantasy series a few months ago but there was a gas explosion in my home and my books were burned and I can't remember the author or the title. The main characters are a celtic tribe, most significant is a young bot who's father is killed during a battle and some in the tribe say he ran from battle and was a coward. His step fathers name begins with an "r" but is referred to as "the big man" There is a traveling merchant from the "Stone City" who befriends the young man... there are druids and a witch that sacrifices her power in order to save the young man after he battles with a bear and is nearly killed protecting his crippled friend. The people of the stone city are like Romans and the young man is similar to an "Arthur" character as he tries to unify the tribes to fight against them and they are raided from the sea by enemies known as the sea wolves who are similar to the Saxons... I was really enjoying the books and would love to finish the series and am hoping one of you have read the books and can tell me the authors name!

Thanks so much.
