Kristin Ciullo Moonlight and Feathers?

message 402: by Megan (new) - rated it 5 stars

Megan Cheang Kristin wrote: "Moonlight and Feathers?"

That is actually possible if Feyre has like, maybe grown feather wings.

WinterRose Lol I can't see "feathers" as part of the title. Maybe "flight?"

message 404: by Megan (new) - rated it 5 stars

Megan Cheang Definitely possible

message 405: by Mirou (new) - rated it 5 stars

Mirou I was thinking about A COURT OF MALICE AND FLIGHT. Monsters would fit too

message 406: by Megan (new) - rated it 5 stars

Megan Cheang True, the night court was said to have monsters, well on the map at least

message 407: by Vinnie (new) - rated it 3 stars

Vinnie IT'S A COURT OF MIST AND FURY!!!! OMG!!!!

message 408: by Vinnie (new) - rated it 3 stars

Vinnie Same!! I wonder if they'll release the cover in December as a christmas gift kinda thing. I hope not. Cover ASAP please!!!

I wonder how the "Fury" portion of the title is incorporated in the book. "Mist" for the Night Court but, "Fury" for?

message 409: by WinterRose (last edited Oct 14, 2015 12:21PM) (new) - rated it 4 stars

WinterRose Ahhh I love that title!

Ironically, I had looked up stuff on Greek mythology regarding the furies, thinking of Feyre and her sisters. :P Because Maas had posted a few pictures that reminded me of them, too. It does seem ironic that there's a Greek connection, when we know there already is one: Hades and Persephone.

Lol maybe Maas is going to just gender swap this idea with Rhysand, Cassian and Azriel and use the furies as inspiration for these three.

But maybe the connection of "fury" isn't that, but simply in the word.

I'm 100% more excited now though. That title is badass.

I agree! The cover would be the icing on the cake!

@Laura, I thought about the same idea about the Furys. I watched an episode of OUAT, and they talked about Furys : They are creatures which comes back to the realm of the mortals to seek whose who didn't pay the price of using Magic. I don't know if this makes sens, but I believe vengeance will play a big part in this book.

message 411: by Vinnie (new) - rated it 3 stars

Vinnie PEOPLE!!! On Sarah's Pinterest board, there's a pin that has the caption "The Prison (book 2)"!! And Fury is related to punishing the guilty right?! O-O what if Rhys gets sent to prison at some point and she has to go break him out?! But then that'd be like Book 1 in a way :/

WinterRose I've been very curious how the prison was going to play a role--there's several images of prisons on her board. I too wondered if Rhysand would be sent there. (I mean, Feyre isn't going to be sent there that's way too similar to book one)

Maybe the prison is mentioned early on--and Feyre even sees it--but it isn't until the end that it's relevant? Like maybe Rhysand gets placed there in the end. Though if he's the high lord, how could that happen? lol

message 413: by Vinnie (new) - rated it 3 stars

Vinnie What if he's betrayed by one of the lords of the night court and is sent there?

WinterRose There's a good chance a "mutiny" of sorts could happen.

Someone had to act as high lord while Rhys was away. I had a hunch that person might be Cassian or Azriel, and they may not want to give up that power. Maybe they'll think Rhysand handled the Amarantha issue wrong.

message 415: by Megan (new) - rated it 5 stars

Megan Cheang I don't know about that. It seems that Rhysand still is in charge. I mean there can only be one High Lord per court. Sure there can be stand ins but ultimately I think the fact that Rhysand can still shift is a sign that he is still the one in charge. After all, only high lords can shapeshift. Besides, it seems that the Night Court has a stricter hierarchy and I don't think Rhys is one to suffer anyone else going behind his back.

message 416: by Mirou (new) - rated it 5 stars

Mirou I agree with @Megan. Maybe, it's nothing to do with a prison, just that the place is called like that ?

message 417: by Megan (last edited Oct 15, 2015 06:54AM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Megan Cheang Or maybe it's a prison for monsters? The Night Court may have some dealings with monsters, based on the book, but since there are some even too horrible for them, each court has a prison for those horrible monsters? Or maybe it's a prison for rogue Fae? Or faeries who had angered Amarantha? I'm sorry but i just find any of these more likely than that Rhys will be overthroned, he's just too High-Lord powerful to be dethroned.

message 418: by Kirti (last edited Oct 15, 2015 01:44PM) (new) - rated it 3 stars

Kirti From what I gathered from around here and there:
*"Mist" may mean the mysteriously ominous atmosphere of the Night Court. And the hidden thingies mentioned on the above posts.
*"Fury" - Night Court Again. But, the Politicy thingy or some war that is looming.
*Feyre tries/learns to control her powers.
*Nesta is going to be there.
*History of Rhysand and his court members.
*There is also a chance that there is no love triangle... I think... Atleast from the pictures of SJMaas's Pinterest page.

WinterRose Lol if I'm judging Maas's pinterest pictures, I'd say Rhysand was the love interest and not Tamlin. There are probably a dozen of Rhys/Feyre pictures and maybe 2 or 3 with Tamlin and Feyre..and those I'm not even sure are labeled specifically.

Of course there may not be a love triangle, but I'd say Maas's pinteret shows a stronger emphasis on Rhys and Rhysand/Feyre than Tamlin/Feyre. (Of course maybe she just finds more pictures that remind her of Rhys/Feyre, I don't know. I just know there's a shit ton of them on there.)

Kirti @WinterRose Yep... But, I really don't want any love triangle thingy. I am not a big fan of reading politicy thingy in books either. They drive me mad.
Plus, there is a chance that Nesta maybe a potential person for someone.
And by the way, Hades and Persephone retelling is completely another story/ board in Pinterest. Just thought of saying.

message 421: by Vinnie (new) - rated it 3 stars

Vinnie @ King Cobra - The board you're referring to is actually for one of her older stories called Hades. Which was about a girl named Hades. The Persephone and Hades retelling for ACOMAF is strongly hinted at, if not already confirmed, on Sarah's Pinterest board for ACOTAR with countless pictures of a dark individual with a girl of spring. Not to mention, for those pictures if you go to their sources, they are all in relation to Hades and Persephone.

message 422: by chai (new) - rated it 4 stars

chai I think that Rhys and Feyre are perfect together and I usually fall for dark boys in books *cough* Will Herondale *cough* but I can't stand her leaving Tamlin. It'd be so sad to see him see Feyre just go with Rhys after all she's done for Tamlin. I also am not very fond of love triangles so I think that Feyre and Tamlin should stay together though I really like the idea of her and Rhysand being together. . . . I don't know though, haha XD

Katrina♡•• Hey maybe Tamlin will find someone else like her sister;)

Melanie There is another blurb on amazon uk:

After rescuing her lover Tamlin from the wicked Faerie Queen, Feyre returns to the Spring Court, immortal and possessing the powers of the High Fae. But even at the start of her new life she cannot escape her harrowing past - she owes a debt to the dangerous and alluring High Lord Rhysand, and on her wedding day he claims her for his dreaded Night Court.

As Feyre is drawn ever deeper into the Court and life with its seductive master, war is looming on the horizon - a war that threatens to destroy everything Feyre has fought for. Only she can end the encroaching evil, but to do so she must confront her past, embrace her powers, and discover her heart's true desire .

Bloody hell, wedding day?! SEDUCTIVE MASTER?! Only she can end the encroaching evil?! Embrace her POWERS?! DISCOVER HER HEART'S TRUE DESIRE!!!

{Why would she need to discover her heart's true desire when she is in love and is soon to be marrying Tamlin? Hmm?

Her powers must be really something if it will end the coming evil!}

Why why why why why isn't the next book in my hands right now??

message 426: by Mirou (last edited Oct 16, 2015 05:30PM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Mirou OH MY GOD ! @MELANIE, this summary is AWESOME !

HE WILL COME AT HER WEDDING DAY ! I KNEW IT !
Just genious, I wouldn't love him so much if he doesn't do things like that. I'm already picturing him with a smirk upon his face while Feyre is completly upset and Tamlin is trying to conrol himself.

This picture is the PERFECT illustration :
https://www.pinterest.com/pin/2468536...

As Feyre is drawn ever deeper into the Court and life with its seductive master , war is looming on the horizon - a war that threatens to destroy everything Feyre has fought for. Only she can end the encroaching evil, but to do so she must confront her past, embrace her powers, and discover her heart's true desire.

The plot seems really really BADASS, as well as the relationship between Feyre and Rhys.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ HAPPY DANCE ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Natalia Don't you dare to marry Tamlin, Feyre, don't you dare!
Oops, did I just say that? I swore I wouldn't become a shipper again for a while, and I like Tamlin, I really do, but Rhysand is just the kind of character I adore. So basically I'll be hoping that by "discovering her heart's true desire" the book means falling in love with Rhys and all things that come with that. ;P
message 428: by Vinnie (new) - rated it 3 stars
Vinnie @Laura - Can't wait to read how he slays her wedding!! Tamlin's reaction is going to be PRICELESS! XDD
@Natalia - Right Natalia!! Right!! OMG!! Feyre's meant to be with Rhys!! *_*
Btw, how do you guys think Rhys' parents will be incorporated into the plot? Sarah has posted a few pins tagged as "Rhys' mom" and "Rhys' dad". Then there's also Amren, and then Cassian's relationship with Mor (there was a pic of a couple tagged "Cassian and Mor (book 2)")
Natalia Vinnie wrote: "Btw, how do you guys think Rhys' parents will be incorporated into the plot? Sarah has posted a few pins tagged as "Rhys' mom" and "Rhys' dad"."
There is a dad too? I haven't seen "Rhys's dad" pics, but I'm not often over the Pinterest board. I just saw the mom pictures, and the mention of her relationship with Cassian.
message 430: by Megan (new) - rated it 5 stars
Megan Cheang Wow, Tamlin is going to be furious. Does anyone think that Nesta and Elain will be invited to the wedding? I hope so. But I just cannot picture the father of the bride appearing.
message 431: by Megan (new) - rated it 5 stars
Megan Cheang I can also imagine Nesta's reaction if Feyre is taken, again. She will totally demand Tamlin to get Feyre back after how her sister went through hell for him. Imagine Rhys vs Nesta, that would be a sight. Only I still am on the Rhysand and Feyre ship.
message 432: by Vinnie (new) - rated it 3 stars
Vinnie @Natalia - one of the pics of a Fae male with long black hair was captioned as Rhys' father. I'll look for it and link it here :)
@Megan - Elain and Nesta coming would mean Nesta meeting Lucien!!! *_* YESSS!!! OMG!! And while Feyre is with Rhys, Elain could be consoling Tamlin by making him flower crowns or something (that'd be so cute actually)
WinterRose Omg Rhysand literally takes "wedding crasher" to a new level. Only he is an asshole enough to do that, hahaha. Love it. The question is though: does he interfere before Feyre gets married, or after? It does say wedding DAY rather than NIGHT.
Btw, how do you guys think Rhys' parents will be incorporated into the plot?
Well, if Rhys is high lord, doesn't that mean his dad is dead? I'm not sure if his parents are alive, or if those pictures just give us a visual of them - and they'll be talked about in past terms as we learn more history about Rhys and the night court.
But seriously though....FANGIRLING ALL OVER THE PLACE. That blurb is amazing. Feyre is obviously going to get involved in the night court.
Also I agree. "Discover her heart's true desire" does indicate that what she wants now isn't what she'll want in the end.
WinterRose Why would he choose that day otherwise?
Because he's an ass? Haha but seriously, I couldn't stop laughing. The timing is priceless. I almost wish I hadn't known this just for the surprise factor when reading it.
I have a feeling when Feyre returns, if she's not married, than plot-related things will get in the way of Feyre marrying Tamlin. So they'll push it back, and back, and back, because things keep happening (which let's be real, this happens in real life too). But eventually Feyre starts finding excuses not to marry him, before realizing why she doesn't want to.
WinterRose I was just mentioning that to my friend. I can see him going for the dramatic and crashing it during the wedding. But I can also see him doing it before, leaving Tamlin a note or something lmao. I don't think he would take Feyre without letting Tamlin know. 1) so Tamlin doesn't lose his shit thinking something happened to her and 2) just so he can rub it in Tam's face.
WinterRose Remember how Tamlin said they'd find a way around that deal with Rhys? Maybe marriage between high fae is still a powerful bond--though not as much as a mate bond--so Tam thinks that will somehow null that bargain? So that's why Rhys shows up, so that the bargain won't be broken?
Or maybe Rhys shows up at that moment because he did sense the mate bond with Feyre and it scared him into stumbling, so he was avoiding her all that time after he vanished. But when he heard about the wedding, he could no longer ignore it and couldn't let it happen.
And remember how Tam said a mate bond was stronger than MARRIAGE? Maybe Feyre does marry Tam after all, but the mate bond snaps into place anyway, just like Tam said about his parents. Maybe that was foreshadowing.
message 438: by WinterRose (last edited Oct 16, 2015 08:51PM) (new) - rated it 4 stars
WinterRose I don't know how it could either, unless there's some magical element we don't know about that occurs between two High Fae. :/
We know it's a while before Rhys shows up, so I had wondered why he had took so long. If he did sense the mate bond and it scared him, maybe he was trying to avoid it/ignore it. Until he no longer could when he heard about the wedding. It's really hard to say. I mean I can imagine him showing up that day just to piss Tamlin off, but what will be telling is if he waits until after, or if he crashes before and the wedding doesn't happen.
What if Feyre has the ability similar to Bran from Game of Thrones, where she can enter someone's mind and control them? Like what she did with Rhys, when she saw through his eyes, what if she actually could have controlled him if she wanted? Technically Feyre saw through Rhysand's eyes BEFORE she died. So that is either tied to their tattoo bond, to a mating bond, or Feyre's powers. (If she has some Fae lineage, that could be why her abilities were starting to show even before being turned high fae) That would have frightened him, someone that could enter his mind.
Though I still think the mate bond is the most likely option, as it was something Rhys felt when he reacted. He tenses as he's bowing, then snaps his eyes up. So it was something he FELT rather than something he saw.
message 439: by WinterRose (last edited Oct 16, 2015 10:32PM) (new) - rated it 4 stars
WinterRose I noticed this too.
From a wiki site: It was a rule of the Fates that whoever consumed food or drink in the Underworld was doomed to spend eternity there. Before Persephone was released to Hermes, who had been sent to retrieve her, Hades tricked her into eating pomegranate seeds, (six or four according to the telling) which forced her to return to the underworld for some months each year.
The Fates, also known as the moirai, just like this pin below in Maas's board:
https://www.pinterest.com/pin/2468536...
I definitely think we're going to see something similar to these Fates.
message 440: by Megan (new) - rated it 5 stars
Megan Cheang Maybe Feyre wasn't aware of this rule but she hasn't eaten anything at the night court initially because she was angry about her ruined wedding and because she could avoid eating since she is immortal. But upon learning Lucien, who is maybe sent to pick her up, she calms down enough to eat a pomegranate?
message 441: by WinterRose (last edited Oct 16, 2015 10:43PM) (new) - rated it 4 stars
WinterRose Maybe she doesn't eat anything at all, but is bound to be there simply because of the tattoo? I think the bargain is probably inspired by eating the seeds, as they both result in the same thing. (Feyre/Persephone has to stay there for a certain amount of time.) I just think there's going to be three Fates. Though I don't know how they'll relate to the Night court.
message 442: by WinterRose (last edited Oct 17, 2015 02:19AM) (new) - rated it 4 stars
WinterRose Lmao I bet you guys that Rhys will summon Feyre the last week of the month, then for the next month the first week. So that she's actually staying two weeks in a row, but it doesn't violate the bargain since it's technically a week of his choosing, and still one week a month.
Like the last week of June, first week of July. haha He gets his two weeks like he wanted after all.
Tenmodo omg..omg...OMG did I just read that???? DISCOVER HER HEARTS DESIRE????? rhysannnnndddddddd!!!!!!! yaaay... the anticipation is killing!
Tenmodo only 432 pages..thats soo less!!
message 445: by Megan (new) - rated it 5 stars
Megan Cheang I can just see Rhys coming up with reasons not to send Feyre back to the Spring Court:
1) the whole i choose the last week of this month and the first week of the next...
2) He didn't get his end of the bargain for a few months, he would feel entitled to a few more weeks? maybe more as compensation.
3) terrible time to take her back to the spring court...
lol
Mirou The fact Rhys is going to show up on Feyre's wedding day is amazing, though I would have more enjoyed if it was a surprise like @Gabrielle.
I had the same thoughts as you guys, about the reasons he would do that. My guess is that Feyre is not going to behave the first week, she is going to pissed of and we will have some nasty exchanges between her and Rhys just like in her cell the first time he came to her.
We would definitely get some banter between them, but what i am curious about is how Feyre will be introduced to the rest of the night court. If she doesn't get along well with them, i am guessing she would probably spend the first few days either snapping at the High Lord of the night court or just sulking in silence.
