Damn you are so lucky. I won't be able to read it until it's available at my public library. After you read it you need to create some sort of spoiler thread and share all the juicy details with us.

WinterRose Haha I totally will. Well, I'll let you all know when I get it and anyone interested in spoilers can message me. :D

Crystal Cierlak Does anyone have a link to the snippets where Rhysand is teaching Feyre how to read? For some reason those are the ones I can't seem to find. TIA.

WinterRose What do you guys think the cliffhanger will be? Kirkus mentioned how the "erotically charged romance leads stakes to the cliffhanger." Which makes me think it has to be Rhys/Feyre related. But reviews aren't all OMG THE CLIFFHANGER so like, I don't think it's THAT serious. Not like The Young Elites serious. lol

I feel like Feyre having to save Rhysand is too similar to having to save Tamlin in ACOTAR.

My original fear was that Feyre's High Lady powers would begin to manifest--to another court. This Nightmare court, perhaps. But then I remembered Rhysand ruled BOTH of them, so maybe they both could rule both. I don't think Maas would set up Feyre and Rhysand as mates, only to have them end up ruling different courts. Maybe that will be the big obstacle (because you know there will be one) keeping them apart, but I think if that's the case, they will find a way to rule together in the end. So they will be the first court(s) that have two rulers, equal in power.

WinterRose Beela wrote: "After you read it, tell me what page Rhysand's confession is on because honestly I may just read that first :)!!!"

Omg Lena and Aqsa you're so lucky! I will probably be bombarding you with messages, haha.

Um, the king of Hybern kidnapping Feyre? That would be in line with what Rhys said, about the things he loves being taken from him. Wasn't that his fear when it came to letting himself love Feyre? That as soon as he fell in love and she loved him back, they would be separated or something. I don't mean forever, but Rhys doesn't know that. There is war coming, after all, or maybe it will already start in this installment.

On Amazon, it seems they have it because when I clicked on adding the book usually when the book is not released yet it's written "preorder" but this time, it's written buy the book and they propose to deliver it in less than a day, in a day or in 5 days and I paid extra to have it tomorrow even tho it's Sunday. SO since I paid more, I guess I'm really going to have it tomorrow (crossing fingers)

EDIT: PS I live in France so I bought it via Amazon.fr (I have no idea if the Amazon US or another propose the same AND it's only for the Hardcover copy (it's not working for the paperback)

Beela THAT IS SUCH A GOOD POINT!

message 1418: by Beela (new)

Beela In the Throne of Glass series Rowan says that having your mate taken from you is a feeling beyond compare. He's speaking about death of course, but I think that if Feyre is taken from Rhysand that he would do anything to get her back. That would make for a great book.

Ahahah I'm really hoping this is not a mistake and this is true. I'LL GLADLY READ ALL YOUR MESSAGES AND ANSWER (capital letters because I'm too excited for this) AND I'LL NEED SOMEONE TO TALK WITH (I can't do that alone and I'm not even being dramatic ^^)

Natalia Beela wrote: "I think that if Feyre is taken from Rhysand that he would do anything to get her back. That would make for a great book. "

I actually wonder who the quote "I would have torn the world apart to get you back" (or something along those lines) belongs to. Could be Tamlin, could be Rhys...

TheBookie These next two weeks are going to be so great!!! ACOMAF and The Rose and The Dagger are being released I can hardly contain my excitement!!!

message 1422: by Beela (new)

Beela @Natalia speaking of quotes, I was looking at a spoiler and they had an unnamed quote which said; "I want you to know... that I am broken and healing but every piece of my heart belongs to you".
Who do you guys think is saying that?

TheBookie @Beela

I'm debating between Rhys and Feyre. It would be utterly sweet and an amazing show of Rhys love to Feyre to admit something like that. Or Feyre to Rhys because we all know that she's broken and needs someone who can help her put herself together and love her brokenness.

message 1424: by Beela (new)

Beela @TheBookie16
I agree. I have a hunch it's Feyre but it would be really sweet if it was Rhysand

message 1425: by Kelly (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kelly I broke down and just ordered it from Abe books for 3-6 day shipping, so hopefully I get it this week sometime! The store location I ordered from is only about 2 hours away from me, so I'm going to hope that means I'll get it sooner rather than later *crosses fingers* I AM SO EXCITED.

(I was originally going to get the Target edition, but I apparently have no self-restraint lol)

WinterRose Natalia wrote: "@WinterRose and Aqsa: am I supposed to stop talking to you guys from Monday until the release date, then? I don't want to be even emotionally spoiled, LOL)) I already know too much."

Haha I won't spoil you, no worries. If I post updates they won't be too spoilery or anything.

WinterRose Omg two hours, Kelly? I would so have drived two hours to get it now, haha. Mine originally said shipping date by May 5th, then April 30th, now April 26th. (I paid extra too for 3-6 day shipping and ordered on the 21st.)

I actually wonder who the quote "I would have torn the world apart to get you back" (or something along those lines) belongs to. Could be Tamlin, could be Rhys...

I was about to post about this actually. It really could be anyone. Could be Feyre talking to Tamlin about when he went under the mountain, though tearing apart the world sounds too intense for her.

Could be Tamlin, referring to when Feyre gets taken to the Night Court, but I don't think he's going to do anything since he knows there's consequences for breaking bargains.

So my hunch is that it's Rhysand. Maybe Feyre is talking about her family, how they just let her go with Tamlin. And Rhys makes that comment.

WinterRose "I want you to know... that I am broken and healing but every piece of my heart belongs to you".

I think it's definitely Feyre since this book focuses on how broken she is, and how she needs to heal. If she's talking to Tamlin, it's obviously in the beginning of the book. "Healing" implies she's still in the process, and I think when she confesses to Rhysand she will be "healed." So this could be Tamlin, as a way to reassure him.

message 1429: by Crystal (new) - rated it 5 stars

Crystal Cierlak I think Rhysand says it to Feyre about when Amarantha broke her spine. And then the quote about if she were to die, he would die too. Makes sense from the perspective of the mate bond.

I can't see it being Tamlin because even when Amarantha was torturing Feyre Tamlin did and said nothing. It was Rhysand who was calling out her name. Lucien who gasped. Tamlin didn't do or say anything until he got his powers back.

WinterRose Crystal, that's a good point, it could refer to when Feyre died. I'm almost surprised actually that Rhysand wasn't the first to give that light to Feyre. Maybe he was too in shock to do more than just stare at first.

TheBookie So I have a question, am I the only one who never liked Tamlin. I rolled my eyes at the way he was portrayed a golden god *sway*. I knew this was a Beauty and the Beast retelling if sorts but I truly did not like him he was possessive and rude. Maybe I'm biased cause I love the tall dark and brooding types but I liked Rhys the first moment we met him.

Also I just really want to give Maas a round of applause. I didn't really know what to expect when reading this book besides a Beauty and the Beast retelling. But man she took us on a ride I never expected the UtM scenes that whole part book was unexpected and a great surprise She's amazing!

message 1432: by Beela (new)

Beela No, you weren't the only one who didn't like him. I had this feeling ever since Feyre met Rhysand that something was off with her relationship with Tamlin. He's not the type of man she needs, all he does is make things worse and he NEVER listens

message 1433: by aqsa (last edited Apr 23, 2016 12:12PM) (new) - rated it 3 stars

aqsa Agreed with Beela and TheBookie16. Same.

I honestly only read Acotar for Rhysand (out of thirst and because I was having Darkling withdrawal). I never liked Feyre with Tamlin. And not even just their relationship- but Tamlin in general. I didn't find his character appealing at all.
I preferred Lucien to him! I loved Lucien since I met him.

Acomaf is a HUGE big deal right now guys like, it's like a breath of fresh air and I cannot believe things are finally going the way I want.
This book is going to be the best birthday present ever...

message 1434: by Kelly (last edited Apr 23, 2016 12:15PM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kelly @WinterRose, I got it from the Miami seller on Abe! I'm not sure if the seller is even a physical store location (otherwise I would have seriously contemplated driving over to Miami to get it lol). And I'm hoping mine adjusts like yours did! It says May 6th right now, but I seriously doubt it will take that long since I live so close. I can't waittttt ahhhh!!! XD

Also, I never hated Tamlin, but he and Feyre just didn't click/have chemistry to me. They're opposites in a lot of things and it always felt more like lust than love to me. (I also didn't appreciate how he interacted with her on Fire Night when he ignored her request to stop and told her not to disobey him. Yeah, he was on a magic-high, but it still bothered me. It also makes me wonder if we'll see more of that side of him in ACOMAF.)

I liked Rhys from the moment we met him as well. I always liked that the first interaction Feyre has with him is him protecting her; that positive foundation is so important for our understanding of his character since he has to play the villain for most of ACOTAR. They also just have such blatant chemistry that I always loved reading their scenes. (BRING ON MORE IN ACOMAF PLEASEEE haha)

As for the tearing the world apart quote, I have a feeling it will be Rhys saying it to Feyre - thought that could also be just me reallyyy wanting it haha. I could also see it being Feyre saying it as well, though!

message 1435: by WinterRose (last edited Apr 23, 2016 12:16PM) (new) - rated it 4 stars

WinterRose Definitely not the only one. I've seen a lot of people dislike him. I'm pretty indifferent to him. Don't love him or hate him. I actually thought he wasn't mean enough, haha. I mean, if he's supposed to be the beast I wanted a BEAST. Part of the appeal, for me, with B&TB was that Belle fell for someone that was truly pretty awful at first--but after character development from him, she fell in love and he did too. Tamlin didn't really have any development and he was never that awful. So that element of B&tB was missing for me.

I didn't hate their romance, but I didn't have much love for it either. (I always thought Feyre had more chemistry with Lucien anyway than Tam) And as soon as we met Rhysand, he just blew Tamlin away. His dynamic with Feyre was so much more interesting and full of chemistry. Not to mention the emotional bonding they have under the mountain. It was just so much...more than what Feyre had with Tamlin.

message 1436: by Kelly (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kelly Also, I was rereading ACOTAR and I found this great quote from when she was shooting the naga. Seems like more foreshadowing for Feyre's switch to the Night Court?

"So I let my arrow fly.

The tip glittered like a shooting star through the gloom of the forest. I had all of a blink before it struck home and blood sprayed."

EVEN HER SHOOTING HAS TO DO WITH THE NIGHT/STARS. Sheesh, Feyre, just switch and be happy lol

TheBookie I really enjoyed when Rhys and Feyre first met and she kept talking to him. Noting that the same instinct that told her to be quiet and secretive around Lucien and Tam failed her in the presence of Rhys. And I shipped Lucien and Feyre way more then her and Tamlin. But I love that they're friends and Lucien sees things Tamlin doesn't about Feyre.

LOL was just thinking the same thing today, about things going the way we want.

message 1439: by Beela (new)

Beela That is so true about Feyre's obsession with the night and the stars....I'm going to re-read the book and count how many times she does that. I need something to do while I'm waiting!!!!!

WinterRose Kelly wrote: "@WinterRose, I got it from the Miami seller on Abe! I'm not sure if the seller is even a physical store location (otherwise I would have seriously contemplated driving over to Miami to get it lol)...."

That's where I ordered mine from too! Buuut I don't exactly live close to Florida, so I can't drive there, haha. I hope it gets here earlier but Tuesday is still a week early and I have no complaints. So happy Aqsa found that store and linked me otherwise I may have exploded this week, haha.

message 1441: by Beela (new)

Beela I just wanted to make a really random comment. I was listening to Die a Happy Man by Thomas Rhett and it reminded me of Rhysand. Sara j Maas said Rhysand's theme song would be Too Sexy for my Shirt but I think that the song he would sing to Feyre is Die a happy man.

WinterRose ^I'l have to listen to that one!

I was just telling Aqsa I have this horrible theory. You know the downfall of Anakin Skywalker? It was his fear of losing Padme, which was twisted by the emperor.

So what if we get something similar. Ianthe is the one that fuels Tamlin's fear of losing Feyre and he becomes so desperate that he seeks out someone who might be able to break a bargain--the king of hybern. The king promises to break the bargain on the condition that Tamlin allies with him.

message 1443: by Beela (new)

Beela That is a really good point!!!! Rhysand did say in the spoilers that he doesn't care for Ianthe. Ianthe could be an Iago of sorts, masterminding evil behind the scenes.

TheBookie I love that theory!! It would be quiet the character development. However if that does happen as we've see in other books the guy because very powerful and completely nuts. I'm all for Tamlin becoming a love Induced lunatic but nobody is allowed to be more powerful then Rhys. Besides the King of Heyburn

Ahahah I'm with you on this. This twist would be awesome and very interesting but I want Rhys to remain the meanest and coolest antagonist ^^.

message 1446: by aqsa (last edited Apr 23, 2016 05:02PM) (new) - rated it 3 stars

aqsa @Lena I feel like Rhys is much more of an anti-hero tbh. But yeah nonetheless, the coolest of the bunch. :D

Tamlin being the antagonist OR even aiding the antagonist aka the King of Hybern for something in return would be a cool twist-- definitely not unsurprising to me, considering Tamlin has been on edge and I can see him taking drastic measures like that.

Also, I was just discussing with Rose and she asked if I thought Tamlin and Rhys would fight and we would get a full on beast mode fight. What do you guys think??

message 1447: by Beela (new)

Beela That would be the greatest plot twist ever. Seeing Rhys and Tamlin go against each other would be awesome. Do we all think Rhys will win or ?

TheBookie I would love fight gaahhh I also want to see Tamlin show up when Feyre and Rhys are having a moment. Or even better Rhys and Feyre having to share a room (for those of you who have read a poison study a sleeping arrangement like that) and Tamlin show up to the Night Court ask for Feyre and get directed to Rhys's room.

message 1449: by WinterRose (last edited Apr 23, 2016 05:13PM) (new) - rated it 4 stars

WinterRose Of course Rhys would win. lol I mean, mind control. Unless Tamlin can shield him. But I was wondering if maybe that's something only Feyre can do? Part of her powers? Rhys makes that comment like "who knows how deep that power goes?" When Feyre asked if she could keep him out of her mind completely.

I can't see Tamlin shifting completely into villain territory and being all YES SLAY THE HUMANS with the king, but I do think he could become desperate enough to bargain with the king to get Feyre out of her bargain with Rhys. And I'm about 99% sure Ianthe will be part of Tamlin's downward spiral.

On one hand, I feel like it'd be an awesome twist if he turns antagonistic. On another, I can't really see it. I mean, he has Lucien. Think of what he did for Lucien. But again, doesn't mean Tam won't lose his mind a little. Ianthe will just make it worse.

message 1450: by Crystal (new) - rated it 5 stars
