Turns out my book really didn't fit number 30 but that's okay, someone else took it. Mine works great for a backup for 1 or 5 if they're not finished in time.
Ok, I've completed the first two sections. will do the rest tomorrow 😁

Serenity has been in dock on Atlas getting an Upgrade, including a shiny new Altered Carbon hull and the nifty new addition of a cannon that shoots 13 Bullets per second. Going by our track record, we will need it. Could be it works as a Recipe for Persuasion anyhow. We shouldn’t stay here too long. The Law casts a Long Shadow, and I’d rather be elsewhere in the ‘verse when they come callin’.
Badger has a job for us. Wants us to go Into the West to collect The Suspect in a case of a Local Girl Missing. She was Kidnapped from the Paradise Resort, is all I know. But if he’s a friend of Badger’s, he’s probably Guilty by Definition. Either way, as usual Badger’s playing A Dangerous Game and he Better Not Pout if things go sideways. ‘Course, Badger is never happy unless we show up Spitting Gold from our nethers…
Crew:Kaylee rustled us up some more cargo this run. Them as can pay! Joining us on The Passage are a sweet older couple Maurice and Maralyn . Don’t mind sayin’ I’m not buyin’ it for one second. 36 Hours into the black, and they’ll be Playing Cat and Mouse and all our plans for profit will Come Tumbling Down.
We also have a guy by the name of Adam on board. The Women are all sniffing around him, ‘cepting Zoe of course, but he seems like a Lone Wolf kinda fella to me. And it will take a Strong Female Character to make him take notice. With Zoe all loved up and Inara getting ready for her assignation at The Lotus Palace, Kaylee and River’s Passing Fancies will like go ignored.
Jayne has been mighty cheerful ‘bout this run, which seems Out of Character. Man has a A Vocation of Violence, and it makes me a touch twitchy when he’s sittin’ there smilin’ at folk. Still, The Twelve of us seem to be rubbing along ok for now…

We've got all the minis accounted for. Subtracting those books not yet read (since they have to be cards, too), how many cards are left? I'll have one more today/early tomorrow, but it's not as many letters as I usually have. (It's Forsaken Fae 3 and has all the same letters as 2 which I posted today.) So what's left?Thanks!

I’m just on a plane on Melbourne but will post an update later today when I’m back at a computer. Looks like we have about 13 books to go in our main sheet and I just finished one.May be able to knock out another small one before the end time if needed
Crap, only two days. I'll find the shortest I can to read. I'm halfway through the current one so the length left is the same as a short one.

Our current caper (aka: Off you go)After flying a Night and Day, Wash set us down all gentle like on a planet that seems to be in the middle of a Long Winter (I reckon we should have expected this, planet being named Winter and all…).
We took the mule out to the rendezvous spot and on the way got held up by a highwayman and a woman of the elderly persuasion. The Highwayman seemed inclined to liberate our transport, as The Pale Horse he was riding didn’t look too healthful. I would have told Zoe to just keep moving, but I got me a notion that Granny's Got a Gun, so we Unleashed Jayne, who was waiting In the Shadows. By the time he was done, Dark Blood was seeping from the two, who if they had any sense were Playing Dead. Why do things never go smooth, For Pete's Sake?
Time to continue on to where the Coyote Waits.
The coyote handed over our human cargo, and we got back to Serenity. After Wash took us into Winter’s Orbit, he plotted a course to Persephone. I do hope the Winds of Fate are at our back for once…
End of the ‘verseAfter we arrived on Persephone, we noticed A Familiar Tail that told me Badger was aware of our arrival. We found him Talking to Strangers At the Breakfast Table. He turned his oily smile on us and started talking about a change of plans and how it had all been nothing but a Conspiracy Theory and the cargo was free to go Home. Sorry to waste our time…
“'Scuse Me While I Kill This Guy” Jayne growled.
I took to ‘splaining to Badger he ought to consider paying up, as there was only a Dark Hope of us holding Jayne back, and it would be a Shame if anything were to happen to his very distinguished self. Fortunately, Badger knows How to Stay Alive and he paid up our earnings.
As we walked back to Serenity I thought, not for the first time, how nice it would be to have Our Own Private Universe we didn’t have to share with bottom feeders like Badger.
Serenity took off once again, And They Lived Happily Ever After
